Train sim World in general needs a major over hall this is what I think TSW Needs and what routes I like to see next Memory optimiser to enhance performance, similar to the one that we have on the main screen that bypass Sony storage where we could not have all the dlc installed on the console Upgrade for UE4 to UE5 to utilise retracing and bigger routes and move away from Gen 8 console and concentrate on Gen 9 consoles Have a built in core feature that upgrade route lighting Tod 4 in the background to make older route look better I like to DGT do away with substitutes what Train’s you have in you Collection should be on that route For Germany you should have all of the German Trains as they go everywhere a part from the loco trains Im talking about the ICE Train and the IC and freight For the uk have all the Train’s that we have in our Collection like the heavy hall freight pack some of those Diesel engine could do freight in the uk as as class 66 and some are used as a thunderbird Those are some of my ideas Routes ECML extension add in Leeds and york with the Harrogate Loop and add in Cambridge and Kings cross with the Peterborough Loop Trains with class 700/1 Class 717 Great northern Class 800 and 800/1 Class 805 hull Pentagon and class 805 lumo and Grand Central as AI traffic As I fell this will play experience better WCML extension from Milton Keynes Central to Birmingham new Street As I fell this will play experience better South-eastern high-speed extension to London Victoria with Sevenoaks via Orpington Chatham mainline New routes I like to see Corby to London ST Pancras with EMR class 360 With the thameslink to st pancreas under station London Charing cross to Dartford London Cannon Street to Orpington This will make good use of the south-eastern train that we got in the game with two new additions class 707 and class 376 into the game and class 66 for freight AI traffic you will need thameslink and southern Europ train route I like to see Paris to Milan as we all ready have the SNCF license all we need is the trenitalia license this we be a good route to have as you can have both Milan station in the game Paris to Strasbourg high speed TGV with some loco trains in the mix Madrid to Barcelona but we need Renfe license
Ue4 to ue5 requires a complete rebuild from the ground up which means your collection starts from 0 and have to repurchase everything. Also, it uses much more resources, so performance would take a big hit. Even certain ue5 games now have poor performance. May look great, but does not run great. Raytracing is pointless because it tanks performance. It would require upscaling technology unless you want tsw to be a slideshow. Again, would require a rebuild of everything. But without upscaling technology in place, it does more harm than good. Regarding your suggestion about using all the trains in germany and the uk, it is not all appropriate and it be a ton of work. Timetables would need to be overhauled and you run into performance issues of course with larger timetables. While nice to have, not possible to use all the trains in all routes. Depends on budget, time, staffing, etc.
Just a quick tip, this could be formatted better. Your post is longer than it needs to be and has a lot of unnecessary spaces, particularly between paragraphs. It is incredibly hard to read. Anyway: Hard no. Requires all content to be remade. UE5 is not going to magically solve anything. Yeah, this ain't going to happen. More work than it's worth. It's "Paragon", not "Pentagon. Also, Hull Trains use the 802/3, not 805. Lumo use the 803, not the 805. It's also pointless on this section as it doesn't make its first stop until Newcastle. Grand Central ain't going to happen due to licensing. Would also need the 180. Hull Trains and Lumo also need a license first. Would be a separate route in itself, the current one isn't going to be extended again. Make separate threads with each of these and go into detail about why they should be in TSW. Also, SNCF aren't cooperative with licensing (as far as I know), so no French routes in the near future.
Yes, I think any suggestions to extend routes are welcome, as are most ideas. With regards to improvements stepping away from gen 8 console, TSW could probably step away from gen 9/10/11/12 consoles and leave a load of PC owners pulling their hair out, but they have to provide what is workable for most. Yes, it is nice to get old routes updated with modern lighting or even get a remastered version completely, but it is down to resources.
