Liveries Rail 200. Preparations And Ideas For September.

As for what I would like the team to do.
Once there's enough rolling-stock with Rigsby's paint-jobs, make a scenario on one of the recent UK routes.
(Possibly GWR, once the update is out)

I would then be able to make a video about it, but unlike what I've been trying to do this past week,
all trains would have said liveries on them.

Keep in mind though that in a scenario, It's not possible to fast travel to other locations, so I would essentially be "stuck" where ever the player train starts.

As I normally park a shunter at an unused bit of track (So I can fly around with the free cam), it would be in my opinion be best if an alternative version would be made where the train that would normally be for the player, becomes an AI version.

If a BR 08 is then placed at a good location for filming as the "Player train".
It doesn't really need to go anywhere, as I would just stay where I'm at, and just use it's cam.

All in good time though...

Okay so on this project I basically make the liveries as I can’t do scenarios, yet I have TG08 still
So in this R200 Project TG08 or TrainGeek08 is the project scenario and scheduler. Meaning TG08 is the best one to help probably with this. We have other members to that could assist with this.

If possible then I feel if you and TG08 have a little discussion about this subject then TG08 can let me know the plan and if you need anything livery wise from me.

Would that sound like a plan Rudy?.
And TG08 are you happy with this suggestion?.

Like I've said privately, I'd rather get TGG scenarios filled with liveries, and then focus on the speed run stuff before we do anything else. These scenarios would be videos that Rudy could do when those pieces of content release. I have completely no problem with that at all.

For yes we have had many discussions as a Team and as Me and You on YT videos for the Project.
I’ve acted. So again keep Rudy in the loop of what plans you have.

Keep it simple and try relax I think of ideas for all to be involved with when the Team can facilitate this.
I speak to you always because your are the scenario guy and I’m thinking of ideas of what next.
When and if your Team can facilitate more work then we can implement those ideas I have or (Edit) other Team members.

Just letting you know I was watching up on the video you did. Amazing by the way definitely caught me by surprise again.
Your was right too, I was in pain from the smiling

What you provided is something I’ve been long for since day one of making liveries.
So I do love watching and I assume the 350 is SR work. If so then it’s perfect to see real quality TOCs done by SR sat alongside the fictional work I do. Fact meets Fiction.

Now for something I noticed and so just curious about what is happening here?.

The only thing I can think of is how the Mods might interact with how I’ve approached reskinning the 08.
Work in that area is done by skimming a decal on a face of the sides from the rear, so it is very fine work and because of that is this one of the reasons behind why I’ve noticed this issue.

Any ideas what it could be Rudy?.
I’m just curious of anything else, because loving what you have done.

I tried to catch this shot. The lighting is amazing in my opinion. And to deal with such complexity of work.
It’s all smooth nothing that says I’m a CPU and struggling.
Runs really nice. The sounds too, the clunking as they pass over junctions. I love it all I mean it.

So yes a you made me a very very happy man. Proud to see my work how I’ve always wanted to see them.
In their natural environment. Not sat at the back of my Works Shed gathering dust.

You made this happen, and even if we wasn’t working together I’d still watch you work.
Because it’s a natural place for any true railway enthusiasts to be.

Sat by the rail side watching all the lovey different trains go past, with a little note book seeing what’s new. Something that pops up out the blue, the anticipation as you hear the sounds first but not sure what it is until it passes.
It’s great stuff, really is.

Thanks, I wonder if people that watch it have any idea what it takes to make a video like that?
Between recording, editing, rendering, uploading and YT processing it, it easily took 8 hours probably more.

Edit: About the 08, no idea.

 

Hey I fully understand that statement. Again people do forget about the small things that all amount up.
Even uploading on CC can take time. The list all of that, never mind the editing software all this takes time.

So yes I fully understand and why I don’t have a YT channel. You have to devote a lot of time and why it’s shame when good quality work you do gets over looked by people that follow others it for popularity not proper content like what you do.

People kiss bum to get in with people. It’s all built around using for one’s own gain.

The work is the focus but I always think about the person behind that work.

I just wish people would give credit where it due, because of how much it takes to watch what you do.
Yet on your comments I may see the odd thanks.

Okay now for 87 030 “Tom Boy (TTB)

Now I know TTB asked for red lining on the grills but I felt it would clash with the other members of the fleet.
So if you look closely TTB you may see something on yours no one has, even mine.

To make up for my decision not to add red around the grills.

Please TTB lets me know you are happy and I shall release it.
I use the word Boy as I feel it’s a nicer less aggressive word than Boi.

This I my own personal preference and to respect any Logos or Trademarks used.
Hope you can understand my decision.

So yes other than that if you’re happy then it’s good to go.

I feel I have let him down too as I feel He’s tried to defend me recently yet I seen how others get to Him.

Okay my next task. 390 005.

Work is being done as we speak behind the scenes on a number of little task.
A lot has changed with the Team and so I will be making a small announcement soon.

My main priority is to make sure my Team are comfortable with their role or task/s.

So yes more information will be provided on these matters.
But for now work has to be done, and why 390 005 is now my priority to assist TG08.

Let’s see how fast the community can go in this a TG08?.

Team and Project status report.

Okay I’d like to make this one a quick one.
A few weeks ago we as a Team have had a few ups and downs. No one is at fault or to blamed for as those that did come forward did their best. And the ones that remain today are still doing that, trying their best.

Now members a week or two was as follows.
I won’t put any links, due the situation I will get back on to shortly.
Now each member could be involved fully with ideas and direction or just be part of the team being involved as when no real direction on the project or from.

These members would be TTB. Jplayz, and Rudy.
I am Project leader that works closely now with TG08. Scenarios.
We are fully involved.

Now the problem I have at the moment as Project Leader is not having the fully involved community members or outside individuals contributing.
Therefore my vision for this Project in the long term looks bare. I see that due to no content added here.

The Team member I call Mister Mystery has well and truly accomplished the disappearing act trick just fine
A man down, and two members that are outside contributors.
That leaves just me and TG08.

I cannot as Project leader expect one man to deal with all I have in mind.
It’s not good for him on a personal level nor providing high level content for this Project if that member is working under those conditions.
TG08 is working on a few things and hopefully He’ll be along to fill in any gaps I leave out when I say we have some exciting news.

TG08 has been working on a Speed Run scenario but the news I am so excited to share with you is..

LMS vs LNER. The Race for the North, and back.
The idea is simple and I’ve taken inspiration from the great races of the Streamliner era.
The Flying Scotsman service. The Silver Jubilee, LNER.
Then we have The Royal Scot service or the Elizabethan and Coronation Class. LMS.

The prestige of who has the fast most luxurious train on the London to Edinburgh services.

So choose your side when the time comes.

The rules for this fun A to B to C Speed Record Challenge will be explained when the Team have completed their given task.

Just me, liveries, and TG08 on scenarios.

So please if anyone would love to be involved as a key team member that can run and man manage a given task.
Then this is your opportunity to be involved with something I and the Team wish the Project success for all.

Im looking for those that like Photography, stream and wagon livery creators. Everything and Everyone of any taste can be involved.
My vision is to have every single thing that is planned to be at the Greatest Gathering be in what we have in TSW or replicate a A4 Pacific on a Class 43. Yep it’s in the works but that work takes time so again I’m looking for someone that can assist me and help me as Project leader to make this happen for those in my Team that have worked so hard.

I need you the community to support and be involved for not me or the project but for members I have left.
If that all ends then all this has been for nothing.

I suffer with emotions and why this is hard to write.

The “Lord Oliver Brown”
For you that don’t know the story then it’s a stream train named after a little Oliver passed away from a rare condition called
Myelodysplasic syndrome.

Back ground to why I wanted to push hard for this project and wanted others to help and support.

I came across the story just before learning of Railway 200 again. Article feeds etc.
So i thought about the story and how I’m sure little Oliver would loved to have been at the event.
Sadly tho He can’t and nor can I because I just don’t go out.

This is when the idea of making the Greatest Gathering came to mind. For all those that can’t be there.
Yet Oliver could as when reading up more I then without naming the charity or organisation then I set up a FB/Meta account so I could ask if I could make a version of “Lord Oliver Brown” to then place at the Greatest Gathering on TSW5 event. He could be there.

But sadly nothing came of it as my FB/Meta account was closed down or got banned because it said I was impersonating someone.
Who I haven’t a clue as I don’t use FB for that reason I don’t understand it all.

So I left it, and so I have no permission to make “Lord Oliver Brown”.

Sad and why I want this to be a success for others, I emailed so many to try raise awareness and money for charities involved with Railway 200.

I have one man by my side.

So yes where has the good gone in this world.

It’s not for me it’s for others but why continue if no one is interested.
Like buying a kit car but never gets built because there is just no interest from anyone.

It’s a shame but I had to get this off my chest. I do think about it a lot as I have my own kids.

Part of something that could be here long after we’re gone.

I apologise if it’s an upsetting topic but it’s said now. I will say no more on the matter.
This is so I can respect little Oliver and not to abuse for self gains, and I say only this due to the post from me before writing this.

Everything happens for a reason so I wanted you all to know even my own Team mates why I’m really doing this.

To appreciate everyone and every little thing in our lives, because time waits for no one.

I hope “Lord Oliver Brown” can appear at the show. Even if it’s in a scenario made by individual community members.

Had a good play today with me talking to a few community members about photos. So above are in colour, then…..

I really can’t wait for this one, the story inspires me. Why because my surname is involved with this era and my love for engineering.
I feel so alive and want, will these machines to push the envelope, I could imagine the excitement, the rush in a man’s heart to race these beautiful machines of that era. Gives me a buzz just thinking about that moment of historically significant and why I am so glad the R200 has embraced this concept. Because it’s happening.

LMS and LNER will have a race just like the good old days.

All we need now TG08 is Steam Time run challenges. One step at a time tho a.

I know this task is all about speed but we still need to be able to walk first.

So who you going to be TG08, Tom, Rudy, possibly even Mister Mystery and his secret development program
He must be up to something.

Therefore I would like to make it plain that I do not believe that I have ever defended you from anyone and I do not believe that others have got to me.

I like the idea! and the two liveries look amazing! I think the East Coast Mainline to Edinburgh is faster than the West Coast Mainline to Glasgow, though.

Can I confirm what you're asking from the community, though? Do you want someone to make more liveries for this, or was it to make a scenario? Or was it to take photographs? I'm afraid I can't quite figure out if I'm a good fit for the position.

The project has progressed more than you think. TGG scenarios that your livery was intended for has been long since finished (for a few weeks now). I'm happy with them, so any liveries you do make are just for fun now (and preferably would not added into the scenarios necessarily). We are working on some LMS vs LNER content now, but due to some personal issues on Lee's behalf (that I shall not disclose publicly due to confidentiality), progress has been slow.

However, I think Lee is better at explaining how much progress the project has made whilst you've been busy.

Of course, Lee's personal life comes first. If there is anything I can do to help with the LMS/LNER content, please do let me know.
