When updating my game, I received updates for routes not mentioned in the patch notes. One for GWE and one for SEHS. But no knowledge of what the patches for said routes are. Is anyone able to help out?
I also had the original DB BR 101 and other stuff not mentioned in my temporary steam download folder. Going to have to spend redownloading and reinstalling half the game yet again today, so there goes my day I guess... Seriously, the way the game and the DLC update on steam is just tedious if you have lots of DLC. I don't have an extra 100 GB of free diskspace on my system partition just lying around which could be virtually allocated for actually small updates. Every single time now when an update is released I'm forced to manually remove all effected DLC and then redownload them, I can't even properly deselect them in steam whenever there's an update in the pipeline. Sure, I can deselect, but since the game is already in update mode, it won't update deinstalling content to make space so on top of all that I have to decipher which DLC is called what in it's file name, which is not always easy. Plus redownloading it on my slow connection takes until the next day I suppose with this big load of today's update. Also can't play TSW or any other game in the meantime to help pass the time. There has to be a better way to release and implement updates.
Would be interested to know what the SEHS update is about. Still dreaming about the route with AI layering issues being fixed, Oh, is the glowing tunnel at Ludwigsbahn history now? My bets are, erm, no. Will check once I get home.
Finally, the pesky "on foot" bug is gone! Wohoo! Almost makes up for once again no love for Mittenwaldbahn whatsoever. Almost. Gonna check this in a couple of minutes
Looks like after nearly a year they still couldn’t fix the fault with the emergency brake plunger in the Class 350 permanently applying the emergency brakes - with no way of releasing them
Didn't notice you mentioned the patch notes in your post so I just linked to the thread immediately before I even read the patch notes myself - apologies. DTG Harry Are you able to please ask dev what changed with the SEHS and GWE patch?
Going to take my optimism a step further and say that they’re preparing to release the GWR Remaster very soon…
Which would be extremely cool. It was still in the "more than thee months" bracket in the May Roadmap.
It was already on there at 1730 (ish). The file itself was quite small, 136Mb, but a lot of writing to the HD which it's still doing estimating another 17 minutes! So off to play SimRail or Snowrunner in the meantime while it churns away.
Any changes made that weren’t in the patch notes were probably just optimisation improvements that we won’t even notice
They even smuggled in a new (older) version of the BR 218 for the upcoming 80s timetable for the koblenz-mainz route because this new timetable which comes with the BR 194/E94 Dlc has also some timetable services for the BR 218.
Where did you get that information from? If true, this would confirm my suspicions and also make my day
Oh that looks beautiful The blue is a bit too bright perhaps, but that may depend on the lighting. Can't wait to get my hands on this baby
Unfortunately, it seems to have been released too early again. I play on Xbox and solicitr can't find it on Steam.
Crazy how often things like this happen nowadays. Another fine display of quality control, or rather a lack thereof. But still, I'll take it as a good sign that TSG's pack probably isn't too far away anymore
I sympathise with you PP, as l am in the same boat. I also have an incredibly slow internet from living on top of hill in the countryside and miles from the main hub. Also l agree these massive updates are eating into my disk space as well. It’s so annoying.
That isn't necessarily the case. Microsoft is notoriously stingy with the patch upload windows it allows to publishers, whereas Steam lets them do it pretty much at will. I could understand bundling two patches into one for XBox.
