Hello everyone, I thought I'd bump up a thread about something I've been working on for the past month.

Wasn't sure whether or not to place this in the general or editor section, but since there was a lot of involvement using the TSW Editor, I thought I'd place it here. Some of you may already have had a glimpse of this or seen the progress if you follow the TSWC FB group.

I welcome you all to the Class 66 "Megapack" V1, featuring a total of nine new liveries (two being weathered examples) as well as a brand new "Bugeye" light cluster variant along with a couple of minor modelling alterations. Each livery has been created with the assistance of Substance Painter and are all able to be substituted in TT mode on most present day British routes as well as free roam.

The whole idea of this pack was to expand from beyond the usual stray of EWS & DB Cargo liveries which are constantly seen with every single release of a modern day British route.

Below are a collection of screenshots demonstrating the available liveries for V1 of this pack.

Release is pretty close, there's just the final tweaks/testing needed to be made before it gets the final go ahead for upload onto the TSC website, I will let you know when it's available to download!

Oh my word! This looks awesome! I am so excited for this! I am always an advocate for more variety in the game, after all I think any extra variety really helps make the content in game far more replayable, so it's awesome to see you making this pack - especially as it has my favourite FOC, GBRf :D And the modelling of the bug eyes, which is also my favourite light cluster on the 66 too, looks really good too.

I do have 2 questions though. First is will there be the option to have no buckeye on the appropriate liveries? I'm probably going to assume no, cause I'd imagine that could create quite a few issues with substitution and services working correctly when the buckeye is needed, but figured I'd still ask. And secondly, will the weathered liveries have the RHTT controller in them, or is that outside the scope of the mod?

Either way, can't want to break up the monotony of EWS/DB 66s that we've had to deal with for so long now (even though we have we have the 2 Rivet ones, but when there's only 2 of them and iirc 11, as of Cargo Line 4 at least, DB/EWS ones, so it feels like I see them so rarely lol).

When all you have is a class 66....

....dear gods do you end up crying out for more livery variety...

Thanks for the feedback & questions!

    1. Unfortunately the buckeyes were not something I could remove, did try but the logic for it was still in place and I simply have no clue what else to change (I don't even think it's possible)

    2. And second, yes, the weathered versions do have their remotes and will sub into the RHTT Diagrams (for routes that actually have them)

Ahhh, I see, that's a shame then but it's completely understandable. Sometimes things like these just can't be helped of course.

Glad to hear about the RHTT controllers though, will be good to have a reason to revisit the RHTT runs. Can't wait :)

Yeah... it definitely hasn't helped that DTG have stuck with the same exact model of 66 though, only ever giving us a few different liveries, cause there is a lot of many different subtleties between the many hundreds of 66s out there, hence why I'm so excited for the pack. But it very much about time we get another modern day UK loco, cause there's so many out there. Now that the Freightliner licence has been secured at least, it gives me hope that we could see the class 70 at some point.

Just a quick post, a last minute edition of an ex EWS/DBC livery (yes another EWS, whoope...)

Had to be done as it's been surprisingly omitted from any of the UK routes!

If this would become an official DLC , it has to be the final 66 in the game

Licensing issues but if they could get all the licenses for these it'd be wonderful, and a proper 66 update as well to sim.

    Hi all.

With the 66 Megapack pretty much close to release I thought I'd share the manual which I written up showing all the new additions made for V1.

Yet another wonderful creation from the Train Sim Community, just looking at the screenshots is enjoyable in it's own right, superbly recreated, colourful and a great eye for detail. Combined with the newly updated OTS 2019 timetable for WCML South, many more hours of enjoyable driving to come !! Without all these brilliant mods, the game would be good(ish), but they take it to another level of immersion.

Great pack SprattyHeath , do you know if all these 66 versions work with Raildriver (I use Cobraone’s raildriver based interface and my own controller)? The new 66 livery version I tried in the WCMLS ( winter 2019) TT didnt appear to work with the controller’s analogue controls.

I do not have a RailDriver to test that out so your guess is as good as mine.
