    Introduction:
The section of route I will be suggesting runs from Plymouth in Devon to Par in Cornwall. As well as this, the branches to Gunnislake and Looe should also be included. This means that the route length is about 57 miles with 22 stations. I have decided to set the route in 2016, so the operator of the route would be First Great Western.

    Why this route:
-Despite the journey from Plymouth to Par being quite short, it still takes around 50 minutes in a fast service.
-Large variety of services, for example Intercity services from London Paddington or single track branch line operations.
-These services have a variety in calling patterns.
    -(Fairly) scenic
-Includes Coombe Junction Halt, the least used station in Cornwall
    -Includes Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge
-Opportunity to bring the HST to TSW5 standards

    Rolling Stock:
    Class 150/1
(these didn't frequent the route as much as the /2 but still would be very nice to have)

    Class 150/2

    Class 153

Both the class 150 and 153 would run local services along the route and on the branch lines. 153s could be seen running in pairs or coupled to 150s.

The Class 43 HST sets would run Intercity services along the main line, representing services from London Paddington to Penzance.

Thank you for reading the suggestion.

In all honesty I'm not sure - I know there is/was some semaphores at Liskeard but I don't know if they are in use or not.

Edit - Semaphores are still in operation at Liskeard, but have been taken out of use at Lostwithiel, however due to the earlier time period there would be semaphores at both stations.
