I have downloaded a few scenarios from creator clubs and skins needed, but when i load the scenario it still just has the default skin. Do i have to do any think else to make it have the new skin, tks.
Simple solution: simply download the appropriate skin or livery for the scenario. The problem is likely that scenarios are uploaded with photos of specific skins, but the scenario description doesn't specify which skin is required. You also can't link skins in the description box. So a tip for all scenario creators: always use the description box to point out suitable skins!
This could probably be a suggestion thread, but I'm going to drop it here - how about allowing creator club creators to 'attach' liveries to the uploads, so when you add their thing, it also subscribes you to the required other files
Have to say, I very much agree with the suggestion that liveries should be attached to scenarios so downloading the scenario also downloads the liveries required. Would make using creators club so much easier. I remember downloading a scenario for Peterborough to Doncaster that was supposed to be an LNER HST service. Whilst the description said who's livery to download, there were multiple versions and it didn't say which one. Predictably, I got the wrong one. (Should've put all of them just to be sure tbh, but things are easy to say with hindsight.)
Yes would make life so much better if a link was there so you do get the right skin. I have done 5 scenarios and not one had the right skins.
...very good suggestion. But you could also do it this way: then a scenario download would also be an automatic skin download, so there wouldn't be any problems with missing skin assignments afterward. Since skins in 2K don't use much memory, the download size would remain small. But this would also require some work for the programmers, who would have to write an assignment algorithm that also clarifies whether a required skin has already been downloaded.
