Thanks, I’ll have a look today for you with the yellow front. My left hand is out of action so I’ll have a little play for you today and then get back to you (Edit) when done:)

If swelling has gone down then that's a good thing. Probably isn't infected. But I'm not a doctor so you should consult a doctor. Or even ask your parent. They'll know what they're looking at more than likely. Parents always know this kinda stuff.

I feel so stupid as I say I’m on my own and I have no close parents. Just my mum up north miles away mate.
I’m 45 tho so I am thinking the same as you. Swelling gone down, no fever or owt.
Held off as you see due to the unfortunate news.

So don’t let my youthful skin make you think I’m 20. I’m not I just stay young;)
Again sorry to show you but with a Cat bite you can’t be too sure.

Thanks for helping me tho. Peace of mind like.

I will do something about the yellow situation for soon.

Thanks, enjoy the rest of your evening and have a wonderful weekend.

    Rigsby.

That's a pretty cool design. It's modern but retro. Btw how's your hand?

My friend you summed it all up in one. Respect the past but make it tasteful for the modern world.

Here a quick photo of a Class 710 with built in screens so the logos can change colour at the touch of a button (If used in real life).
    So a light blue BR arrow for SE Region. It’s a design I had in mind to complete a 395 of but…… IMG_4225.jpeg IMG_4223.jpeg IMG_4222.jpeg IMG_4224.jpeg IMG_4226.jpeg

My hand. Well I don’t want to speak to soon really but if my work is picking up then I think I’m okay.
Not sure of how much you know but it was more serious than I first thought.

Basically the wound was deep, infection set in and was starting to spread across my hand and up my wrist.
It’s what caused my carpal tunnel to comeback. So basically making 390 00X was nothing but pure agony.
So on a 7 day course of Metronidazole and doxycycline to try clear the infection up. If not then we all know what happens if infection can’t be stopped. It has to be isolated.

I’m trying not to think about it too much or even tempt fate by saying anything too early.
Just plodding on doing what I love hoping I can still continue.

So yes I’m feeling more comfortable in doing more complex work. But how the 395s rear ends are then I couldn’t be bothered with that a few days ago.
The GBRs are easy and relatively simple shapes and decal load. Plus I remembered you needing some information, talk of EMU and DMUs within the R200 Team and my own personal will to get GBR of the ground as a project.

I could say I you have you to thank for this. Or do I thank my Cat Merlin for biting me. I’d be distracted by R200 if not.

So just out of interest what region do you prefer and could you let me know what EMU and DMUs you have.
I might treat you if you for asking how I am.

In which a short response of I’m so so, would save me going on.

How did you get on by the way? I sent some basic information over for you as you did requesting some help with Units.
If you do need more assistance then as I am now working on these sets I can help you out more.

Thanks for being a good community member.
If there’s anything I can ever do for you then as I say just give us a shout.

    Enjoy your weekend.

    Lee✌

What's up, sorry for not replying sooner, I had school exams. I have used your tips and tricks wisely and I have to say, they came out looking pretty good. I don't think I have images I can show you of my work. In wondering if you'd be able to help me with a new project of mine. I'm trying to recreate something similar to the carriage here and am having an issue with the roof decals. I want it full yellow with the grey/black roof. Every time I apply the decal it will either go onto the front or the whole side of it. I'm wondering if you've had experience with such carriage?

Hey no need to apologise, we all busy here and there. I’m glad you had a play around then with some decent results, it’s what I like to do.
And sure I’m busy myself but I will try assisting with this when I can.
To begin with I haven’t played with many of the coaches yet but the ones I have done there been no problems like the ones you mention.
Something similar on a ES44 for Cane Creek I think, I do have issues with the units from that DLC pack.

Leave it with me tho and I’ll get back to you.

For clarification let me know how much assistance you might need for your project.
See if we can short anything out:)

I assume these are what you’re referring too. I’m wondering if when you put the black on the roof from the side then it will project over ends or yellow. For if that’s what’s happening then you need to use the half circle as the first easy option.

If you let me know what DLC or mark coach it is you need the help with so again I can see what’s happening then get back to you.

It's literally just the standard MK1 BG Coach that's comes with ever single rail tour pack out there. It came with the Flying Scotsman DLC.

Here we go. I used one decal shown in the following pictures.
Added a few extra layers for effect.

Work from front or rear and then project.
The reason for over lapping the rear from the side is down to the slight lip at the end of the roof that’s all.
No defects on the model during this process.

    IMG_4933.jpeg IMG_4934.jpeg

    Good luck.

Actually I designed this livery today for the 350/1. It's inspired by the Class 101s in BR Blue.

Very nice. Maybe if you include BR branding or something to make the side look less bare, but apart from that it looks very well presented :)

Nice Job there, I set a project up some time back called the Retro 101 Project.
Sadly I only got around to doing this one.

    IMG_8601.jpeg IMG_8632.jpeg IMG_8631.jpeg IMG_8635.jpeg

It’s a nice theme so stick at it:) works well on the 350/1 too.

He could do, yet isn’t the 101 quite basic anyway.

I'm wondering what in game font would match if I typed that up? It is a cool theme though. Definitely gonna try a couple of other liveries based on that era. I might try to mimick or take inspiration from yours for the Class 801 on the ECML.

Also BR Blue looks clean on the 350/1. Altho I feel mine is too much of a dark blue.

You could try Rail Alphabet maybe. I use that for most of my liveries and it works a treat

Me too, I’d also go on my holidays to Rhyl in the mids 80s on them. The BR branding was simple in design for the era.
The blue is hard to replicate I think. It has hints of grey green and blue.
Depends on what blue to as there is BR corporate blue, or the minstrel blue (Rail Blue) and some that are chromatic blue.
Here is a comparison between corporate blue and the minstrel blue. IMG_3151.jpeg IMG_3138.jpeg IMG_5669.jpeg The Top is more deeper blue with hints of grey where the bottom is lighter in shade with more grey and green mixed.
Do some research on BR blues and you will see the evidence for your self. Even look at models forums, shops (On line site).
Ral codes or BS (British Standard) so Ral 5020, BS114 for Rail Blue.

Have a play and see what you feel is best yet if you struggle finding a decent match I will fire some codes one for you:)

Will do as the 350 is slightly boxy looking in design.

Yes I’d suggest that too. I never had them available during GBR work you have seen.
But now you have most of the Gill sans font available for BR work.

So the OP knows which one is which I’d do a custom text and change the style of font.
Rail Alphabet and then there’s filled So slight bigger that the Rail font. That why they can get used to the difference between them when selecting a single character.

    ✌.

As both Jplayz and I agree on is that you use the fonts available to you.
Which is the 3 types. Don’t quote me on the names here but you will have BR Font then filled and the outlined one used for Intercity text.
And sure knock ya self out, others have done a similar theme before so I don’t mind. Good that you are doing as I’d like to see what could be done, why I started with the same theme yet I packed in ya see so no more was produced.
Because of this I’ll offer you some assist to help you reach this vision.

You’re more than welcome to use the old BR retro 101 thread too, because if ya do then I might drop one in myself.
Jplayz might even join you to assist with this more.

So for colour codes I or we could send some codes over for you if ya get stuck.
Save you a load of time and headaches looking for a colour you are happy with.

I’m busy yes but with such a basic theme then it wouldn’t take much time away from what work I have on to help you if ya do get stuck.
If you need any set or unit numbers for the 801 then let us know and I can provide any set numbers for you.
Even 350s if ya need set and individual unit numbers.

    Leave it with ya tho:)
    Good luck.

    Rigsby.

Well you know what I say when it comes to competition or healthy competition:)
Bit of inspiration here and there.
Yet I don’t think it’s me you should be asking.

It’s a question I’d ask the OP if their up for a little fun. I mean the 101 is a classic with lots of historical elements.
So does the OP have a basic traditional look in mind or mix it up a little. Why I added a bit of flair with the BR Retro look.
You could consider this as retro looking maybe.
    IMG_4923.jpeg IMG_4921.jpeg
Im not sure what to class this work as.

So sure I’m up for dropping something in when I can, yet again it’s upto the OP if they want a little competition.

Im nearly puffed out anyway after running for a few months.
And on a side note the heat is ridiculous at night. At this rate I might not be fit for any race.

Have fun tho guys, the old thread might be of some use as if I can remember rightly I did share some long explaining about the work done for the Project.

Lets us know either of you about that thread and I will share the link.

Catch you later on too MM:)

Heh I certainly do :D Yes that's true. I don't think I'm ready as you know anyway, but something to think about maybe.

Yes the competition you and I did pushed my quality further than I'd previously pushed it before so it could be good for the OP.

Maybe class it as "Something Old, and Something New", with the "Old" being Virgin and "New" being the GBR aspect.

Yes mass producing content can be very exhausting. You've also had to cover for me so I'm partly to blame for you tiring out as well. But yes the heat hasn't been pleasant in the South either. Not even a breeze. Just take it easy anyway. You sound exhausted so don't push yourself too much.

Yes I'd like to check out the old thread if that's alright with you.

    Of course. Take care.

    JPlayz

    Hello.

Sure we can do something like that again when you or I are in a better position.

As you’re right in what you say, it’s about pushing yourself and sometimes adding that edge of competition to the mix can help.
That little competition you let me join in on and look what happened. There still plans for that work too;)

Yes I could do, yet I’m thinking does it really matter, as for me they come and they go, like a production line.
That I am willing to do, it’s my love and passion ain’t it. That heat tho been giving me agro I can only imagine down south must be worse.
It’s not necessarily the heat but having no Air, I seem to be struggling with that this year.
And hey I know that might cross your mind but I see it as you was doing me a favour not a demand or expectations.
I asked if you wanted to be part of team but things changed so your own life then took president after that.
Don’t think I blame you for anything because I don’t. I deal with all that:)

Anyway I won’t go on as it not my thread.

And so sure I’ll do that but you relax on matters of quilt or blame.
Seems like years ago to me now so, history, old. Now, the present and the future.

    Moving on:)

Ok, I’ll send a link. It’s old tho so there might be a load of waffles around.

Catch you later, and again good luck to the OP.
