Hi Everyone, here is the Master Feedback Thread for the Manchester Airport Commuter. Please keep all discussions only related to feedback. Manchester Airport Commuter Gameplay Guide Please provide the game platform you are using in any comments for feedback!
It's not a good look when the name of the add-on is Crewe Manchester, but it doesn't go to Crewe... PS5 Pro
This is due to project naming being completed prior to finalising the route. This then couldn’t be changed when we changed to the release name. For future projects we will not use the working name and use the actual project name from now on.
Just completed my first run and I’m liking it so far, the scenery is well done including the stations and OHLE and it feels fairly busy too. But hears are some problems: - I had some blurry between Mauldeth road - Airport - 350s don’t have their pantographs up - Some lights don’t seem to be working properly (Line volts, battery charger, train recorder, AWS, headlights and their indicators) (FIXED) - Light baking at stations & bridges seems to be non existent, they’re modelled nicely but particularly at Piccadilly and the airport they feel very flat - There’s something between Ardwick and entrance to Longsight TMD that’s causing massive frame drops - AI trains don’t use their lights (FIXED)
So doing the 323 introduction and you cant do it tells you too follow marks board the train but there is no markers to follow so you cant continue DTG Jamie
Or Steam and Xbox I wonder why ? Oh wait this is my theory as it was only suposed to be loco dlc that did not get any, and in fairness it does make sense The Xbox version shares its achievements with Xbox One / Series and PC Xbox app version. That would mean if they released achievements for the route Xbox One users would be left with achievements they cant unlock because dlc is not coming to the platform and I suspect out of fairness they decided not to release on other systems.
Something up with the route that’s causing the trains to be buggy because the 390s also experiencing the same bugs I just mentioned -Train PIS isn’t working
I dont think this should have been released today. Pure greed is what made them release this route today.
Maybe the release version is the one they didn’t want the Ambassadors to show… Anyhow following as the feedback so far has been quite useful, to someone who was teetering on the brink of getting this when Steam goes live later.
It's pretty and the foliage is good. Also the route is busy with lots to see on the way BUT....... No lights on any trains and PIS is disfunctional...... also, seems a bit bright in Picadilly...... and it also appears to rain inside all the stations...... station clocks are all set to 00:00 as well...... and no collectables in place..... 8.5/10 for the route 3/10 for implementation of core functionality Good attempt and good route, as long as there is a very expediant patch!
at a guess because Xbox shares its achievements between One and Series and PC so my guess is they could not add any as One users would be getting achievements for content they cant buy unless they bought a series console or played on PC that would be my guess. This is the 2nd route in a row without any. And BOTH with gen 9 and PC only
While this specific route doesn't particularly interest me, I thought it was nice how passionate everyone sounded about it on the stream yesterday. I appreciate the details such as depots, ECS moves, etc and would like to see more of that in the future. I also thought the talk about more interactivity on locos and potential expert UK DLC was exciting and am interested to see what ATS does in the future
As this is the feedback thread to help the devs fix things, maybe screenshots of issues would be more useful than just calling the route sloppy.
This patch will fix the issue with the PIS and Lighting on the Locomotive and timing on the PIS boards at stations.
Troubleshooting & Issues Discussion: Manchester Airport Commuter Service: 5H43 (Stockport Carriage Sidings – Alderley Edge) (Part 1) Traction: BR Class 323 (Northern) Problem: spawning in both 'on foot' and the 'Timetable' modes the train as soon as you sit in the driver seat the train derails/spasms into midair before it fails the scenario and boots you back to the homepage
My main gripe as mentioned by someone else is the light baking and/or ambient occlusion at the Airport and Piccadilly stations. Route looks very nice and detailed otherwise.
PS5 BT keyboard annoyance: you have set the Q key to both the Driver Vigilance pedal and the AWS ack. No. The pedal does not beep when you tap it. Why such a silly annoyance gets thru beta testers is ... annoying. zthenis an expensive short line DLC. Please fix this.
Just did a run from Alderley Edge to Piccadilly on Xbox Series X. Stations and line side detail were superb, loads of AI traffic around, had no blurry textures and just a tiny bit of slowdown on the approach to Piccadilly. Only issue I noticed is when you go to the gents on Piccadilly, the glass texture is see through and you can see down to the road below lol. Overall really impressed after my first run - these commuter lines are my preferred type of run, so it’s right up my street. Looking forward to checking out more this evening.
Quick update I think there’s an issues with the wrong builds being set out. About 10 minutes ago I got an update specifically for Manchester commuter and it fixed some of the issues I pointed out earlier
PS5 grotesque errors at Heaton Chapel for 323 coming up from Crewe: the support of the viaduct arch becomes a pyramid (?) as the train passes it into the station where the opposite train just passed thru 2 shorter pyramids of ballast along that platform. Alpha or beta release ?
I just completed that job successfully on xbox x only problem depot move and train is full of people. Lol
Conductor mode working well for me on PS5 Pro, I've literally never had a single ticket to check on the 390 on Euston-MK but here I had to check 68 tickets on a 9 minute journey! Pretty sure the 4 I missed were hiding in the loos.
amusing DTG bug ? Got out of my 323 from Crewe cab at Man. Picc. as continue in Free Roam option, got into the 10:22 opposite, sat in first available seat, but with 4 identical women in grey and black ... but it is only 9:45 ... so that must be the train out the window that is moving ... but no, we are leaving the station ... call it a VIP feature: i sit down, the 4 women get their wish: their wait is over. Depart. To Stoke-on-Trent or to a trend in grey black smoke ?
The stations on the route look really nice, but one nitpick I have is that Gatley is the only one to have the "M" logo on the signs. Other stations should have it too. There is clearly a space above where the logo should be. Another problem I ran into is at Ardwick depot where some of the overhead wire equipment is hovering above the track:
Further to my post in the out now thread. This was Wilmslow Station on completion of the run with the 153 from Piccadilly. (PS5)
I thought it was 27 miles end to end but it ain't its 13.5 miles thats via Stockport not sure on the other line.
It's a bit weird in the scenarios that if you arrive at a station early the game tells you to wait until the scheduled time to open the doors, I'm pretty sure I've never been held hostage on a train because it got where I was going early. BTW, while the above is a nit-pick - which is the point of the feedback thread afterall - the route is absolutely superb, having a great time trying out all kinds of different services, the route feels very alive with traffic, the scenery is amazing, not had any game breaking bugs. While we're used to getting new stock with routes, this is a showcase route in terms of scenery and traffic, especially if you own all the other layered content.
