On the Microsoft Store, they are advertising this as suitable for Xbox One. Yet l thought l had read, that it was for Gen9 consoles only!

Please clarify the situation?

 

And next route without Trophies so far, what's wrong?

 

Just downloading now on PS5 under the name “Crewe Manchester”. I presume this dates back to the beginings of the project as discussed in the stream yesterday.

 

Well that’s misleading advertising for a start!

 

Yes this is due to project orginally be called that before we finalised what the route would be. We set the name up that is shown very early on in production. This is why we now on will name our projects before starting them.

 

Don’t see the new route in Xbox store yet

 

Been playing it for an hour or so....so far I think its great, lots of traffic, bit scarce of passengers at Manchester Picc, and it seems a bit dark in the station at night, and my headlights don't work on the class 150......I will say that this is a very detailed, brilliantly produced route, like JT, the attention to detail is staggering, and it does feel alive. Well done ATS, this is a brilliant route, on par with Blackpool Branches, and that's saying something.

 

Been watching the stream, about 20 to 30 minutes so far, but have to say - while appreciating the work which has gone into, nothing really reaches out and grabs me why I should buy this Day One even with the discount. It’s certainly not ticking my personal LAMPOIL boxes.

Will sit back and consider the incoming feedback, before making a decision.

 

I have to say I'm incredibly impressed with the route.

I've been excited for a while for it's release. It shows what can be done with available stock in the game when utilised correctly and putting the effort in, and the scenary is some of the best.

I'd like to congratulate ATS, as I thought they come across really good on the stream and the end product really lives upto expectations. I've just done a back and forth run between the Airport and the scenary is absolutely superb... And I really like the fact the lovely 323 has got a nice little route to stretch it's legs on further!

I was surprised to see the 'Manchester Crewe' logo when downloading though... I hope with any new rolling stock that Crewe may be reached in time (although I'm aware ATS has said no for now but you never know)

Congratulations to the team for a lovely little product that I'm genuinely enjoying. It is very immersive!

 

It's pretty and the foliage is good. Also the route is busy with lots to see on the way BUT.......

No lights on any trains and PIS is disfunctional...... also, seems a bit bright in Picadilly...... and it also appears to rain inside the station......

Good attempt and good route, as long as there is a very expediant patch!

 

Very impressed by the scenery, it's rare in TSW to see roads modelled to this level of detail.

Not quite enough to grab me, I understand why scaling the scope down, and not including Crewe was done, but it still stings a little. I think I would go for Day 1 purchase if it had, I used to travel Manchester to Crewe frequently while at uni.

Still, definitely the most interesting Modern TSW route in some time for me, given it being my old stomping ground. So it'll be high on the Wishlist for a sale... unless I suddenly decide to go for it this evening

 

That's pretty impressive. I know exactly where that is, drive through there a lot and that is absolutely spot on.

 

Yeah I’m the same, I both travel & work on this line very regularly & it’s probably one of the most interesting routes for me in a long time. Stumping the endpoint though has really put me off, along with the rolling stock decisions.

At £25 the price isn’t bad but ultimately it’s two thirds of a route in a confused era with alot of inaccurate rolling stock, so I’m just not there in terms of a purchase.

 

Yeah, agreed on the second point, the layers are certainly broad, but it's a bit too muddled between the eras for me. I'll have to see what the modders can do for it, I guess.

 

I am waiting to read a few reviews from pc purchasers, once it is released on Steam in a few minutes.

 

Congratulations ATS, this route is so well modelled with magnificent scenery so close to the real life route. It is so satisfying when a developer takes on a route with a labour of love and produces an excellent and realistic route.

I cannot believe that this is their first effort and is equally as good as the two Just Trains routes. It puts some other developers efforts to shame. Well done and thank you to Alan, Hayden and all the team at ATS.

I am now eagerly looking forward to you announcing your next release.

 

Ooh, that good, eh. Well, JT' s last route was close to 100 miles with a mixture of old and new stock. If this route is " equally as good " I suppose I should snap it up, do you think?

Interesting to see the reception so far, there doesn't seem to be much middle ground lol.

I certainly understand complaints about odd places to stop/start a route, but are there any major issues otherwise? At work rn but definitely thinking of buying when i get home if it's in decent shape technically.

Fwiw i really like urban/suburban networks so the short mileage doesn't bother me if it's modeled well.

 

l am very pleased with it, l wasn’t comparing it to the length of the route from some other developers. You have got to consider that this is their first attempt and they have in my opinion delivered two excellent routes with well modelled stations, depots and sidings, not forgetting the wonderful airport with planes landing with their wheels down and the remodelled and beautiful Piccadilly Station. You don’t need a 100 mile route with lots of countryside, this route is a magnificent reproduction of a route l know so well and it hasn’t disappointed me like some developers have done with other routes l know. If you haven’t done so buy it.

l buy routes and have become quickly bored, but l haven’t stopped playing this all day apart from a lunch and comfort breaks. I bought it for my Xbox and now will buy it for Steam.

 

Fantastic route for a new party this is fantastic not sure about patch but on my first play after hentis stream I had no issues headlights were working fine in scenarios I don’t know how’s ATS did it but on series x I had no lag even with a passing long class 390 the attention to detail is incredible the fantastic Stockport viaduct which cleverly doubles up as a turn around just after Stockport station is bang on the real thing and the varying design of gantry and those awesome drain covers and the ultra modern unipart Dorman led signals and the signal boxes and the fantastic weekday and Sunday timetables well done Alan Thompson simulation and team cannot wait to see what you got for us going forward

Just Trains made a mess of it on the Hope Valley Route

 

What's this, at over bridge before Heaton Chapel station coming from Stockport. Appears to be on all Pendo services originating at Stockport. I've seen it on 1H77, 1H14 and 1H07

 

First impressions after a depot move into Pic....just excellent. So much detail crammed into this, finally we have correct speed sign/signal plate fonts for UK routes. How long did that take?!
Very immersive feel, the route just feels alive, so much detail to take in. Even things like realistic roads/traffic just adds that extra bit of realism in your peripheral vision. Need to check out all the relevant approach control signalling, hopefully it's all implemented correctly. Will report back on that.
Brilliant work, hope they continue their work with TSW, wish them all the best with their next route.

 

Bought most all of ATS for TSC. Love the stuff they and AP do. They have the ECML from London to Edinburgh available for TSC. I have just purchased this for TSW. Looking forward to some more ATS magic.

 

Manchester Airport looks absolutely stunning and has been modelled very well unlike Edinburgh on the Fife Circle.

Well done ATS for giving Manchester Airport so much attention to detail.

For those complaining that the route doesn’t go to Crewe. Apparently the file name is Crewe to Manchester. I am not saying it will be extended, but l just have a small feeling that it may.

Like i get Console limitations and all that but like at least address us as well, make us part and if for whatever reason you cant, then at least explain it like What the hell?

The game doesn't do a very good job at being specific for what layers/addons you need (I hope this is improved), can someone help me out on what exactly this is that's missing? I've gone through what's required for layering in the article and i'm pretty sure I have it all including midland main line.

TFW is Transport For Wales, so you need the Cardiff City route. No idea why it says you need midland mainline that's false.

Et comme je roule souvent en position avant (3), j'ai beaucoup de collisions avec le décor.
Sinon, un joli parcours.
