Honestly glad its releasing for free for those that do already own MBTA Commuter, good on ya DTG for that.

 

Believe some posters were concerned re paying for this add on given they owned MBTA commuter - glad to see DTG has listened to their concerns

 

Can’t say no to free DLC

 

DTG Actually making a GAMEPLAY pack FREE for once??? I must question if we are in the correct timeline because DTG would usually never do this

 

I’m convinced me dtg planned from the start to make this free for existing players, and have only announced it now to get some credit for listening to the community

Does it automaticly update the add-on on the Xbox if you own the MBTA Commuter.. because if I go to the Xbox store it says that I have to buy it..

 

I think you must own both boston DLCs to unlock the gameplay pack

I have both of them DLC's.. I just started TSW and it is not there.. when I go to the store it says that I have to buy it..

 

Does this mean the KWG update will be free for certain users?

 

I don't think so since it will come from a third party

Won't say no to free! Both MBTA routes are quite good, especially Worcester. I wish they would bring the scenery improvements along I-90 over to the Providence route.

Nice one! I always liked Boston-Providence, but it started to lack a bit in variety after all. Since I don't own MBTA commuter 5,99€ is absolutely fair priced with a loyalty reward for MBTA owners as well. I am looking forward to it!

 

I signed out and signed in again and it still shows “pay £4.99.”


However went into the game, then Train Depot and it now shows a route introduction plus two HSP46 introductions, so l assume it has downloaded. Is that right?

 

Yeah, you don't need to buy it or anything, it's just automatically added to your account and then Steam downloads it. I was in TSW at the time when mine downloaded about 10 mins post release, so restarted and it was there.

3 Scenarios, yes.
But is there actual timetable services. It wasn't very clear. Maybe I just didn't read it right lol. Just wondering if its worth the 5.99 as a like the locos and route.

I like how they frame it as being a generous gift to those who already own the MBTA route and ignore the outrage that came when it was mentioned those people would have to pay for this when it was announced.

That's what I'm thinking.

 

Awesome decision not to charge for prior owners. Unfortunately there seems to be a pretty big bug right off the bat, when I spawned into a mixed consist with the double deck and MBBs, the doors only seem to work on the MBB and the cab car, not the other double deck coaches. Oddly enough the door issue seems to be with the new “Boston Sprinter” HSP. Using the “Boston Worcester” one seems to allow doors to work.

They both have PIS issues showing “not in service” on coaches in timetable mode.

 

I've tried on my Xbox and haven't been able to repro the issue. I tried on TT and free roam, and all working. only thing I see is a slight delay on closing the doors on the Rotem bilevels.

 

Does the new timetable use the updated F40 or the older one? Sorry to ask, haven’t had time to try the new pack..

 

Says I own it on the store page, although it still says I can add it to my cart for £4.99, but that's no different to anything else on Steam since you can gift it, so from everything I can see, it all works fine.

 

I struggled a bit with the same issue before I realized that I should check my DLC list (Xbox). Sure enough, it was already there, I just had to install it. GR

 

I will fool around a bit more with it and see if I can narrow down what seems to cause it.

There were already some issues with the MBBs from Worcester spawning into Providence and the doors not working on those ones when that happened. I reported that months ago but never checked if it was fixed.

Just tried another service... this time one to Providence instead of Stoughton.

This time, its even stranger. The PIS works at least... HSP46 Boston Sprinter:
1st car, double deck, no doors open
2nd car, MBB - first door won't open but second door opens
3rd car, double deck - both doors open
4th car, MBB - both doors open
5th car, MBB cab car - door opens

Truly bizarre.

Using the "Boston Worcester" version of the HSP46 seems to yield better results than using the "Boston Sprinter" version.

Update: fooling around with train 905, restarting the service over and over again testing the doors each time with the "Boston Sprinter" HSP... it seems to be relatively random. Sometimes the doors work fine. Other times some doors work and others don't.

I bet it is the same issue that has affected Boston Sprinter ever since Boston Worcester came out... Boston Worcester's version of the coaches substitute into Boston Sprinter and when they do, the doors don't work. That issue has always existed with the MBBs (I noticed it early because the Worcester MBB's had the wrong unit numbers so it was easy to spot that they were the ones causing the issue).

Now that we have Worcester and Providence versions of all the coaches I bet they are subbing in for eachother and causing issues somehow.

Thank you AC. I woke up this morning and checked at 8am and it finally said “In Library”, so l guess everything now is OK.

Unusual for steam to take so long to show it is in your library!
