When does this release and does it have its own timetable or just piggy backs of the current one.

Not played much so far, but the fact it's a free pack for those who own the route is a massive win. A nice little surprise after months and bad press.

Credit where credit is due, wish it was more up front that this would be free for Boston commuter owners before it released, would've saved everyone from the outrage, but I'm sure everyone who does own Boston commuter is appreciative of the price decision.

DTG Jamie this seems an awfully long time to wait on the 'Delivery for Providence' scenario...

Tried a service on the Boston-Providence HSP-46 Timetable and noticed none of the AI HSP46s or CTC-5 cab cars had their ditch lights on. All the Amtrak stuff I saw had them on, didn't see any F40s or CTC-3s so not sure if they are affected.

one of the best parts of this pack for me aren’t even the scenarios it’s the fact we get a whole new version of the timetable with the new stock subbed in AND now have the improved scoring w/ platinum medals since the TT was from TSW2 days.

Now the dream for me is seeing the freight that was cut from the new NYT TT being added for PC users since it’s very clear we will be able to handle it just fine. :)

First launch of the timetable with the “Boston Sprinter” version of the HSP46 I noticed that the doors on the double deck coaches don’t work when I tried to load passengers. Only the MBBs and the double deck cab car opened.

If I try the same service with the “Boston Worcester” version of the HSP then the doors seem to magically work again.

PIS on double deckers is broken on either situation and they just read “Not in Service” when doing Stoughton services. They seem to show correctly on Providence ones.

The door issue seems to vary from service to service but whenever I am using the new "Boston Sprinter" version of the HSP46, the doors on coaches seem to not work correctly, some open some don't.

    This is on PS5.

Morning DTG Jamie the boston sprinter version of the ctc-3 you cannot turn safety systems on because you cant open the cabinet door to where they are. Also boston sprinter version f40ph keeps telling you to put TMS on but there is no switch so you don't scored for using safety systems. And the f40ph boston worcester version keeps popping a message say turn on battery switch before you drive even though its on. If im doing anything wrong please do correct me. Thanks

I noticed this on Xbox. They tried to shoehorn “Boston South Station” into the display where the Worcester Route just has South Station. I cannot remember what it says in real life as it’s been a while since I rode the T. Maybe someone local can have a look.

Correct. Outer cabinet has no trigger. Only works with the Worcester version.

That one is a side effect of making a 'Wait for train to pass' objective. The wait time is completed once the other train passes but the UI shows the unlimited wait objective as 23 hours 59 minutes.

Around 1-2 minutes depending how quick you get to that point. Should complete once the Amtrak passes and clears the signal in front of you.

What a superb loco! As I don’t think it would sub in for a F40 in Journey Mode on the Worcester Line, I went to the Timetable and picked an evening service from Boston to Worcester. Well chance would have it, this one is non stop from Back Bay to Worcester so currently having an awesome time thrashing it along the route. And sorry to say I did go up to 81 MPH on the short 79 stretch to get my 10th monthly mastery 80 MPH plus achievement done.

I honestly think this is one of the best loco’s in TSW, up there with the TSG 218 and the JT Class 87. Everything from the traction sound, to the track audio, the suspension and the whole ambience oozes quality. I love it and, other distractions notwithstanding, think this will be getting mucho workout in the coming weeks.

Though I have to add, as constructive feedback, if the team can give us such a superb loco for use on the US routes, please turn their attention to the frequent requests for a new UK passenger or freight loco to break the monotony of the Class 66!

I've waited over 10 mins and I assume this is the Amtrack service you mean? Its stuck on red and has been since the 'Go Via Norton Dead Section Track 1' objective.

It definitely feels that it's not working as intended

I arrived at Signal TR3 almost 10 minutes earlier than you, and my waiting time was only 6 minutes.

    upload_2025-7-6_0-5-54.jpeg

Maybe you were a little too slow and missed your slot, this often leads to entire timetables no longer working properly,
or no longer working at all, resulting in trains getting stuck at signals that never turn green.

Amtrak 179 overtook me at 6:18 and I was able to continue my journey without any problems at 6:19.

I stuck to the speed limit the entire time, averaging 48mph. The limit it gave me was 50mph as soon as I left the yard.

I'm on ps5, if you're on a different platform, the bug may not be present. We all know DTG only test on PC

I doubt that 50mph limit is intentional, it must be a bug, I was allowed to drive 80mph almost the entire time.
You're right, I play on Steam, hopefully they'll fix it quickly for you PS5 guys.

Here is my chart, continuously 80mph right after the yard until the safety system gradually slowed me down for signal TR3:

However, I also have feedback for the “Delivery for Providence” scenario:

The parked CTC-5 cab car is dangerously close to the switch leading to track 3 of Pawtucket Layover Yard.
Please push it back a few meters.

I should just clear up one misconception I had, didn’t realise the HSP46 comes with the Worcester route. I had assumed it was a new add on for both lines. Probably because the first run proper in Journey on the Worcester route generated a F40!

Couple of further things to note.

As someone who generally dislikes cab car driving the CTC5 is actually quite okay. Tactile, noisy and bouncy.

Probably noted previously, if you run with ASCES etc. on (or don't but follow the speed notices anyway) it is impossible to keep time. I started a run in from Providence and at West Attleborough was sidetracked for Amtrak to overtake but running on the "slow" line thence to Attleborough was never allowed up to the 60 MH track speed. 45, 30 then 20.

Following behind a service from Readville to Boston was just as frustrating. Even when the MBTA service ahead was already at Back Bay, I was still stuck with slowdowns 2-3 miles out, turning pretty much the whole journey into a crawl. By the time I reached Boston South, I was running about 10 minutes late.

edit: played MBTA Franklin #740 again, and to confirm, I was slowed to 45mph, 5-6 miles ahead of the service in front of me.

I tried the scenario one last time, this time speeding and hitting 80-90mph all the way after leaving the yard. The amtrak train did indeed pass me. The objective hasn't cleared after 8 mins of waiting.

So it's a genuine bug not dependant on whether you're slow or not. I'd be more annoyed if I had paid for this lol

I also get the feeling (meant to put in my post earlier, but wife kicked me off the PC!) that the Gameplay Pack uses the original timetable that doesn't reflect the additional running time the real schedules presumably do knowing the train will be running under ACSE slowdown. The giveaway being all the arrival and departure times are at odd intervals of seconds rather than complete minutes or half minutes, so basically the schedules are AI generated rather than the real thing.

I mean it's not a show stopper but it would have been nice if the pack had received an updated timetable.

And the irony is, looking at the rear of the train, although this is the HSP46 Journey and I have a CTC5 cab car, it's a F40 on the rear and AI trains are also passing with F40's on them.

MBTA Franklin #705 (Boston - Readville) in timetable mode there is a Boston bound train on the same line as my arrival into Readville almost causing a head on collision.

I've noticed driving the HSP46 on Boston Sprinter uses the mile/feet measurement by default, while using the HSP46 on MBTA Commuter uses mile/yards measurements. Why is that?

I just did a round trip Boston to Stoughton and back and the signalling is horrendous. I was stuck to 30mph for most of the outbound arriving about 7 mins late. The way back I was doing 80, then 45 for about 10 seconds, back to 90 (80) for about another 10 seconds before 45 again rince and repeat.
Surely irl that’s not a thing. Lastly the final signal into Boston I cannot see from the cab and it was red and I didn’t see it game over.

    Overall not a fun experience
