Happy to hear some news. Looks like the train drive through jungle, although its the Spreewald. Really cool
Stunning. It looks very similar. Especially the trees (Kiefern) in the Cottbus Area and the Spreewald region w/ the bread-leaf trees, the green grass and the fields. I was traveling quite often between Cottbus und Lübbenau 20 years ago. Good job! I hope you can hold your motivation to move on. How do you deal w/ the main station Building in Cottbus?
That's a good question. Modeling buildings is not really my favorite task. emil#3734 and I have already made some 3D scans of the building. Based on that we can (hopefully) recreate the building a bit easier.
In addition to further scenery construction, I have now implemented the “newly” introduced PIS “DSA+” during Christmas. Furthermore I started to turn the 1116 into a 182 (from DB Regio Nordost). One step was to add a train destination display to the 1116.
I wouldn't care about the price, I definitely get it to appreciate your work that you are putting into this project for us Mir wäre der Preis egal, ich hole es mir definitiv um deine Arbeit zu schätzen die du (ihr) für uns in dieses Projekt steckst
Das hat ja schon Payware-Qualitäten Respect for the beautiful project. I came across it through the roadmap. Since I drive the route myself, all the better. It already has payware qualities
I can't remember announcing anything like that. So I'm not building the HC.
Last week I was finally able to start working on Lübbenau. So, for now, the first 11km from Vetschau to Lübbenau are finished. Here are some new screenshots:
Damn I was wondering (I don't know if you've said this before but still asked just in case) what DLCs will be required?
I'm sure I've forgotten one, but these are necessary: - Dresden-Riesa - Köln-Aachen - Salzburg-Rosenheim - Niddertalbahn - Frankfurt-Fulda - Kassel-Würzburg - Semmering
Thanks to Nexuxscraft ' help, I managed to successfully cook the entire route for the first time today. So I was able to play the route ingame for the first time. On my computer (GPU: RTX4070TI) I had an average of 80-90FPS in the built regions with maximum settings.
I would also enjoy this route - it's part of my “old” home.
There are a few news: In the last 1 1/2 months I have laid a few tracks so that the name Cottbus-Berlin is finally correct. My route no longer ends in Königs Wusterhausen, instead it goes to Berlin Ostbahnhof via Berlin Ostkreutz and Rummelsburg. In addition, the branch to BER, the route from Grünauer Kreuz to Ostkreuz via Schöneweide and further to Lichtenberg has been built. The Berlin outer ring from Schönefeld to Hohenschönhausen with the Berlin Nordost freight yard is also included. To avoid raising false expectations: Even if the tracks are already in place everywhere, this does not mean that we will be building all of these sections. For the moment, the priority remains on the Cottbus - Königs Wusterhausen section. The current route map of the Berlin section: from Königs Wusterhausen (at the bottom) to Berlin a test train at Berlin Ostbahnhof
Danke! Liebe Grüße.
Over the last 3 months, construction on the route has of course continued. In addition to many hours invested in planning and implementing the new timetable, the scenery has also made further progress, mainly between Cottbus and Kolkwitz:
I also started to wire Cottbus Hbf and to implement a new passenger information system in the Dostos.
This just looks absolutely incredible. The level of detail is phenomenal! Thank you so much for your amazing work! Unfortunately, some route projects have gone quiet recently (like Düsseldorf–Cologne), as DTG included them in their plans but, for whatever reason, never released anything. Will that be the case here as well? It would be such a shame not to be able to drive this beautiful route! Is there perhaps a potential release timeframe? I understand you're working on this in your free time, so of course it would just be an estimate — but it would be super interesting to know whether we're talking about weeks, months, or even years. Thank you
Thank you for your great feedback! So far I have no plans in relation to DTG and I don't think anything will change according to the current situation. A potential release timeframe is really hard to say. Personally, I'd like to be able to finish at least the section from Cottbus to Königs Wusterhausen by the end of next year, ideally “as soon as possible” of course. But I don't want to rush it either. My biggest problem is 3D modeling. I don't have any major problems with small models, such as my new barriers and traffic lights for the level crossings, but I always struggle with larger models like custom buildings. With these models, I always need a lot of time to make them look right.
The route looks very good in any case and comes very close to the modeling of the Niddertalbahn from TSG from the pictures If she doesn't even outdo Keep it up
This project is absolutely insane in size and has great potential. This route is an amazing idea and I think it’ll be a lot of fun. Don’t be too ambitious with anything, caused me to close my project up… but keep building, I’m sure this will be a great and fun route. Liebe Grüße!
I have a quick question: Does the DB Regio BR 182 have MFDs? I heard it doesn’t, so maybe it would make more sense to use one with an analog panel instead (like a Dispo Lok, for example). Thanks again for all your work and effort — I’m really looking forward to this route! Brandenburg has been missing from TSW for far too long...
Yes, the DB Regio 182s use the analog panels. At the beginning of the project I had also used the MRCE 182, but at that time I think there was still the problem with the wrong side selection of the doors. So I switched to the 1116 when it was released. Now I'm not sure whether I'll continue with the 1116 or switch back to the MRCE/Dispo 182. I haven't made many changes to the 1116 yet and I can simply insert the train destination display into the MRCE/Dispo 182. But if I'm not mistaken, the MFD's of the MRCE/Dispo are not in the same positions as on the Regio 182, so I would have to make some changes there as well. But the whole thing is not a high priority at the moment, the scenery is currently more important to me. Speaking of the scenery: Here is a new screenshot between Kolkwitz and Kunersdorf
Well actually, the one from Rapid Transit is not fine, because the feel when driving is very inaccurate, it is also missing a lot of the new features, for example the updated Screens, etc. and its light system is outdated, it looks terrible on new maps.
Anyways, long time no message from my side, TLS just released their first Roadmap including a lot of insights also for Cottbus Berlin, you can read it here: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/user/train-launch-system/community/81-tls-roadmap-2025 And we made a german TL;DR:
