Except that TSC already had some Austrian content, so DTG knew how well it'd sell, and starting developing a 2nd Austrian route was a safe bet, even when the numbers of the 1st Austrian route weren't in yet.

That's different from Dutch content. I think it's unlikely DTG would start development of a 2nd Dutch route before they knew how well their 1st Dutch route sold. Plus DTG also stated they wanted to collect user feedback on the 1st Dutch route before making a 2nd.

Zwolle - Groningen released in March. I don't know if that gives DTG enough time to have fully developed a 2nd Dutch route before TSW6's release.

Don't get me wrong though, I hope I'm wrong and you're right. A 2nd Dutch route would be awesome, either as part of the TSW6 bundle or as a seperate DLC. I just fear we need to wait a little longer.

Sorry, that's a bit too speculative for me. I also find the comparison between TSC and TSW far-fetched. And where do you get the idea that Austria would sell better in advance than a Dutch route, and that DTG would already know that beforehand?! I find those to be extraordinary claims that are not substantiated by anything other than your own assumptions. No offense meant, but I steer clear of such claims. I simply count the time between releases that's hard data and then we'll see what actually happens. Whether it's true, we'll find out soon i guess

 

I wouldn’t mind those routes at all as they would be refreshing and confirm the “World” part of TSW. But I doubt there is any truth in it.

 

Good point, I recently had the occasion to travel to Shepperton and back, it was a journey of extremes; Class 701 going and Class 455 back, talk about contrasts!

Because the correspondent concerned appears to be a fantasist. In addition DTG would be unlikely to bring 2 new countries, with new signalling systems, to a core release such as TSW6.

What? Go back and look at the OP post, it mentions a Polish route and Swedish route, plus the 3rd a UK route. This was the whole point of thread. I have no idea what routes you were talking about!

I was written earlier that a Dutch addition could be more realistic than what was shared in the first post.

I would buy this day 1 as a local of the line. There's so much untapped potential in that area. I reckon they will do something in Bristol eventually so I really hope they get it right and do a modern-era representation with the new Ashley Down station with IETs included. Cardiff to Bath via Bristol is only 45 miles and there's so much variety of services and trains there, including the Portsmouth to Swansea service that reverses at TM.

 

Well, PR Gaza-Haifa would itself be a steam route, with those cool P-class hybrids of UK locos and US tenders they used. Just for extra impossibility of DTG doing it!

I have seen the plans, or at least some of the plans. The two routes I know for definite are coming (as part of the Rail 200 theme) are the Liverpool Overhead Railway and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. There was also a German route, the name of which I can’t remember, but it is a high speed route, but I don’t know if that was a core route or a later DLC anyway. This was all in a dream I had. I had eaten a lot of cheese the day before.

The only people who know tsw6 routes are the people working on them.

Well we can safely say he got TSW 6 right but then we all knew it was coming when they announced 5 last year. Just like we all know that 7 will be announced next year and 8 probably the year after that.

 

I think the former is a 'tall' order and although there is 'summit' about the latter I think it is 'highly' unlikely
(I'll get my coat........again).

 

What just the one English route? LOL. There are some brilliant English routes both scenic and industrial, would be nice to get the GWE say Didcot to Cardiff or further into wales.

 

They could always do a Microsoft and skip from 5 to 11

Fred's crunched the numbers of the freddos exchange rate and done some serious, and i mean deadly serious maths on his high-tec super computer called the abacus.....

 

Wasn't it £30 last year for the Standard and £40 for the one that included the Pendie and Flixtrain?
So allowing for inflation could be £35 or £45 this year. Hitting £50 for Deluxe might kill off more revenue than leaving at £40 would bring in.
