When making a suggestion, it is best to supply as much information as possible, ie, images of the train. A barely one-sentence suggestion, you wrote F40, but the title says F40PH. It is suggested you do a little more research; this is not a proper suggestion.
It is a proper suggestion I'm saying they should add an f40 to Metrolink I'm assuming that you would know what an f40 is and if they plan on adding it the game they'll have to do their own research on it anyway unless they just made it based entirely off my suggestion

To be fair, Metrolink only ever used 1 F40PH, SCAX 800. They bought 4, but sold the other 3 for scrap. So it wouldn't be hard to know what OP is referring to. There's not much more detail OP could add; it's not like they're suggesting a route. That said, It wouldn't be a good DLC choice. As I said, Metrolink only ever used 1 and it was never used for normal passenger service. It was occasionally used for MOW and for special services. It's retirement I believe also predates the time the current routes are set in. The F59PHR made sense because the DLC is specifically the 4 F59PHs that were rebuilt to a more recent emissions standard (that's what the R stands for) and kept by Metrolink and are still in use (the remainder of the rebuilds were sold to NCDOT. There's no loco DLC that could be made that would fit the time the two Metrolink routes we have are set in especially with Vista Canyon and the new liveries for the bi-levels. If they did make an anachronistic loco DLC, it would make more sense to do the F59PHIs
