Given that tsw6 has now been announced, it’s fairly likely that tsw7 will follow in 2026. I really think bml should be remastered, but Gen 8 still bothering us makes that very difficult. The abandoning of those consoles would open the doors for a bml remaster, so there’s a good chance that could be the UK route. For Germany, a busy route in Berlin is long overdue, and it’s another case where Gen 8 players have been restricting the game. Maybe the Berlin S Bahn. For the US, probably nothing. Again.
Gen 8 is eternal and will stay in TSW for a long time according to my uncle who works in Japan and UK, in the PlayStation offices and DTG offices and who knows everything in advance
I'm not sure if its right to blame the players on Gen 8 for restricting the game, saying that Gen 8 players are responsible for us not getting more complex routes doesn't seem right to me
Maybe I’ve worded it badly. I have nothing against Gen 8 players, I’m sure most of them are happy with what they’ve got and the game wouldn’t have got this far without them. But the consoles themselves simply can’t run a game of tsw’s scale. Using 2013 machines in 2026 just doesn’t work and I’ll be amazed if tsw6 can run at all on Gen 8
That's alright, I agree in a sense that Gen 8 probably wont be able to handle most of the routes being released at their full capacity. Honestly what I would suggest for players on Gen 8 is to hold off on buying anymore routes and wait until its possible to obtain a Gen 9 console at a good price, it really does enhance routes and makes them so much better.
Definitely the best way to upgrade I think. Even a series x or ps5 can be bought for a pretty decent price compared to a few years ago
Calling it now UK: A London based 1 handle EMU bus route Europe: A cross border route from Germany USA: A heritage pack for previously released Route
I think we are well overdue IOW v3. But this time it will be the hovercraft route from Portsmouth to Ryde Pier head followed by a long walk down the pier with your suitcases.
I know you're joking. But imagine a version set in the steam days when it had a rail network. Oh that would be awesome.
Your Holiday Express obsession is going to put you in therapy Fred, or is it the thing keeping you outside of the padded room......
Tsw6 has been announced 2 hours ago and you want to predict Tsw7? I really want to say "stfu" but I won't do that, because I can contain myself. How about we predict Tsw6 first?
Too right it would. Both the full IOW and IOM networks would be fantastic in game. Both are proper networks and neither require a huge amount of stock to be built to give a decent representation of either island.
Your obsession with Holiday Express will be remembered the same way as Vern with his Buffet car. Keep it up mate !
DTG are saying that they listen to their customer base. DTG are implying that they have licences for GWR and XC. DTG appear to prefer making shorter, more detailed, routes. The majority of customers appear to be saying 3 things. (a) That they like shorter routes. (b) That they prefer modern routes (ie what they can actually see today). (c) That, if you disagree with (a) and (b) then you usually think that TSW is slowly "going down the toilet". If you take all the above into account then there is only one possible route that would satisfy all 6 points. TSW7 will therefore ship with the Loo(e) branch. #321withDustyBin
UK - Exeter to Paignton DB - One of the Berlin S-bahn routes US - None, hopefully we're boycotting that place until it becomes a serious country again. AUS - Sydney to Newcastle with the new and old rolling stock.
And what is the point of this? Literally tsw6 hasn't even come out yet. The only thing we know of it at the time of me typing this is that it exists.
l am thinking about missing out on TSW6 because of all the redownloading and the continuing installation of every loco and route add on and as we only have a year to wait for the next release may go for TSW7. If it has Sydney to Newcastle as you suggest it’s a definite buy.
TSW7 will introduce three never before featured regions: - Iceland - Bhutan - Suriname You heard it hear first! (Don't share this with anyone or I'm in trouble).
