Will this set up future routes having this stock. Do you hope for example to have a route where you can have a Pacer, an 08 etc in one route

 

Any changes to physics or sounds? Why is there red tape around handle also?

 

Can you give OldVern a complimentary key for it as he has been praying for a buffet car in TSW since 1863

Are we getting a damaged/ rusty version of both liverys?, or I should be asking are we getting one at all

 

Will the 86 work withRailDriver? The 87 didn’t originally. Then later did, but then the newer liveried 87s don’t. It would be helpful if it could be confirmed that the 86s (all liveries) will work from the start.

There were 35 units with the Class 87 in WCMoS, how many Class 86 units are represented in game? I had a good time trying to spot them all!

 

It was mentioned LSL helped with the recordings of the Mk2 stock, which really showed really nicely in JTs preview with the quality of the sounds on the Mk2 is brilliant. Out of curiosity were they recorded on a rail tour, or an organised train on the mainline with LSL? What locomotive was used as reference to develop the Class 86 cab? Was it a single real life locomotive, or was the references based on historic images of the cab from the 1980s period? Or was it a combination of both?

A follow up question to add to that if I can be cheeky, is, on PS5 at least the Mk3 stock doesn't have the distinctive squeaky noises when accelerating/slowing down of the real life counterparts. Is there any plan to update the sounds for the MK3 rolling stock? The 'running sounds' are there on the loco hauled Mk3s, but the squeaky noises that are already featured on existing HST Mk3 variations when accelerating/slowing are not there.

The attention to detail on the 86 is phenomenal! As are the variations included, so complete credit to JT once again on a lovely locomotive and rolling stock. The working ETH that goes along with the Mk2s was a really nice touch (being able to see and hear the whirl of the air conditioning units depending on whether the ETH is turned on or off).

 

I was about to ask about sounds but SO95 appears to have covered that.

So my only real question is, does the Class 86 pack get its own Journey mode on the route?

Will the 86s be subbing in on freight services on WCMLoS as well as passenger services?

Will the new mk2f coaches and RMB have mixed rakes with some of the older mk2a coaches included as well as just rakes of mk2f and RMB etc…..

 

Don't know if this has been asked but will the class 86or the coaches layer onto other routes like wcmls for (railtours) or WCL, NTP, BPO (to blackpool), GWE (DLOTGW), and NTP.

 

One additional question, aimed squarely at DTG. Been watching part of Tom’s stream and afraid to say the stuttering and sound squelching of the traction sounds is still quite evident. Tom was running on what seemed to be pretty reasonable hardware although didn’t say at what resolution. I have managed to contain the problem somewhat by running WCMLOS at 1080p then pushing through Lossless Scaling but the issue is still endemic in the core, regardless of how strong or weak the hardware.

So can DTG give any assurance at all they are further optimising the performance, taking steps to divorce the audio playback from whatever causes the stuttering and hitching and whether any fixes will still be applied to TSW5 or just rolled forward to TSW6?

 

Far better to put Vern's face on the person serving behind the counter as a permanent homage to his quest.

Unless, of course, it was thought that his face would make all the sandwiches curl.

 

Or maybe a poster behind the counter with a photo of him holding his maxpax tea and 2 pack of custard creams

Could you show the '2' camera? there's an issue where the 2 camera shows the last coach instead. This only happens when Cab 2 is used though (cab without the pantograph above)

 

I did see that right only 36 jobs on the wcml north route. Does it layer into other routes.

 

Didn’t get a chance to watch the stream live. Just wondered how many questions from this thread were answered, including mine about Journey Mode and performance?

 

The 86 does have journey chapters. Don't recall any discussion relating to performance but from what I saw on stream it looked perfectly acceptable. Without doubt, I will get it on Tuesday.

 

Thanks for confirming about the Journey mode. A shame core performance wasn’t mentioned but it is what it is, the last update did make things run a bit smoother, next one will no doubt come in TSW6. If all else fails, drop the resolution a notch and put through Lossless Scaling.

 

U were mentioned in the livestream when their were talking about buffet car saying how one person from the forums will be very happy to see this being in the game now,from 1hour 6mins and 50seconds if want hear it vern
