I'm interested to know why this route is not available to 8th gen console players. Perhaps I've missed something but isn't this route very similar to other bus stop commuter routes like Glossop, BCC, Goblin and even Cathcart?

Is it the layering that doesn't fit or is this just a manifestation of the new DTG policy of closing down PS4 and older Xbox consoles?

 

For me on PS5 Piccadilly runs at about 30fps with all layers so you can imagine what that would be like on PS4

 

On PS5 with the 153 there are blurred textures approaching Stockport and beyond. So no chance for Gen 8 on this route.

 

Was going to buy but not now with with blurry textures this really needs to be fixed. I'm on series x.

 

DTG is screwed either way.
If you don't get it, Gen 8 owners complain.
If you release it for Gen 8 and they get 15 fps they complain.
Suggest they upgrade to PS 5 and they complain.

There's no "good" path.

Same thing happens with every Windows version too. There's always someone refusing to "upgrade" and angry that "nothing is being made for my old computer."

 

Anyone know where the mastery tile is

 

If the policy is to now to release only to PS5, then that's me out. I'm not a gamer so can't really justify £500 for another console, even though I could easily afford it. I got my PS4 with a mobile phone deal.

It will be interesting to see how this impacts on player numbers. I appreciate time moves on, but it's not like the economy is doing well at the moment...

 

Yeah, these console texture issues are ridiculous. I could understand the situation with Gen 8 since they’re older and have significantly less memory. However, there’s little to no reason why Gen 9 is experiencing this issue on a relatively short route. Major optimizations are urgently needed.

Personally, I don’t think Gen 8 player numbers will be too much of an issue, but Gen 9 suffering from blurry textures is unacceptable and could be a major hit to their revenue stream if cut out from DLC down the line. Hopefully things don’t get bad enough to where that has to happen…

 

Given this route has now been released, wouldn't it be an idea to close the "Upcoming Release" article?

 

A point I've made several times, to no avail. Which means, inevitably, multiple conversations all saying the same thing.

 

They just want it to die a peaceful death once people stop talking about it.
Ironically if you keep using it, it'll stay active longer =-)

 

Which other routes do I need for the layers?
