Honestly, the only time when I would be tempted to get into a beta is if there was Czech content to be made (specificly route and security equipment that isn't a D3 line) as I can actually offer something in this regard and I would want it to be good. Otherwise it's just bug-finding without knowing anything and that wouldn't feel productive. Problem is that you can't tell what's involved when you sign up.
Yep, NDAs as much as they are mandatory when it comes to this stuff does put a damper on things. SuperTesting WoWS Legends in Xbox myself. I find myself having the "Right... What bugs, issues can I find with this ship" playing the ship till I'm beyond sick of the sight of the thing placed first before "YAY free new early access content!!" Peoples Patience will be tested for sure, when in reality you're testing for bugs/glitches etc etc.
personally I know what I might be getting into having spent 42 years in the it/netwrk industry. however you are so right when you say some people may tire of it very quickly and wish to withdraw. still with the number of us who it seems volunteered hopefully DTG will have a list of reserves to fill up the ranks when others fall by the wayside.
Matt/Lukas said they would reach out to people as/and when they need to. I don't believe there is any "closing date" I'm sure that if you are picked one of the team will reach out to you privately
I'm not sure I'd appreciate being reached out to. Keep your creepy hands to yourself; I don't where they've been!
I would love to join the team (and have had a chat with Matt about it) but I'm currently on long-term sickness after my job broke my brain. I'm awaiting a call from the new boss to see whether they going to either find me a less stressful role or offer early retirement.
Even if you get asked to be a Beta tester, there is nothing to say you will ever get to actually test anything.... I was approached by a third-party DTG partner. I spoke to Matt in December. I signed the NDA in January. Never heard anything again. So I'm an official beta tester that never actually beta tested anything..... Thank you for wasting my time DTG.
It happens, sometimes you're straight into the team, sometimes you're in the squad but don't get picked. I signed for 2 local football clubs ("soccer" for our friends across the pond) and never started anything more than a handful of reserve games before giving-up and becoming a referee. Might it be worth sending Matt a DM and showing keen?
Maybe Midnight was actually beta testing the NDA process? And now, by telling us all about it, he's probably failed the test.
