I was running an S1 (38110) service yesterday with the BR425 on Ludwigsbahn: Mannheim - Kaiserslauten and had to go into pause, I am on pc (Steam), so use the 'esc' key, to do something. I have done this many times before. When I came back, I was at the desktop with the UE error screen looking at me.
Well since you have ( I think ) a high end machine, that's concerning. If you can recreate the occurrence without issue, probably just a one off. Personally, whenever I have to pause the game, I also hit " save " just in case I can't get right back to what I was running.
Crosstie, of yes, I did a save and was able to resume this morning and complete the run with my usual save issues, display screens not working after the save. I actually save about every 5 minutes when playing.
Unfortunately DTG have not created a pause menu environment that renders just the menu, the entire game is still rendering behind, and generally speaking can cause the GPU to hang or drive up temps resulting in crash to desktop. I still think the "interactive map" is sapping up resources all the time as well, but DTG always avoid the subject.
If you have a radeon gpu, the game barely works in my experience. Radeon gpu's don't seem to like UE4.
What is the GPU that you talking about? I have a 7900XTX and i can not confirm this claim on any way....
ted#5972 No offense intended, but the 7600XT simply isn’t a top-tier card. It’s a GPU in the £250–£300 range, so you can’t expect miracles from it. My card, the 9700XTX, costs almost three times as much. So the claim that AMD doesn’t handle TSW well isn’t a fair conclusion—it's more that you’re using a card from the lower segment.
This is true, but it's better than the minimal and recommended requirements, plus my bank says dream on.
ted#5972 No problem, but the conclusion of all this is that it's not the game as you claimed, but actually your own financial choices right?!
I dream of financial choice. I also used the phrase 'in my experience' as a qualifying statement in my original post, in order to imply that my statement might not hold in all cases. Not everyone can spend their way out of problems over the short term, and there's no shame in that. Plus AMD have acknowledged the problem. Among other problems, there is one with fTPM enabled. I also found undervolting the gpu means the game doesn't freeze and crash, it just stutters and lags.
I have exactly the same and i can confirm that. Total different World in terms of gaming. I have also an Alienware QD-OLED monitor (AW3423DWF) its a dream pc. Its not a 4K Monitor but thats by this monitor not a missing point due to the extreme crisp pixels by this monitor. 4K is not always better in this case.
