I spend most of my time trying to complete timetables and I thought it might add a bit more to it if random breakdowns were added. So, operate a service and the train will not work at the start or breakdown during a service. We then have to operate a replacement service to get the passengers where they need to go and drive a loco to recover the broken down train back to the depot. Maybe put a toggle switch to turn the breakdowns off or on to allow players to choose.

It's a good idea. I have done a few home made breakdowns and sometimes it can be a daunting task making your way around backed up services. Running up down lines and vice versa. It's something the dispatcher can handle on certain routes.

Yeah, but if DTG built it into TSW then it would be a more seamless experience. I wonder could it be done in scenerio planner?

Yes, I would like this kind of thing too.

Random service disruption is much needed, and is something I have previously made a thread on.

Yes, it seems for DTG to manage a disruption it nearly has to be scripted, so you get it in scenarios, but not timetable. Moving or evolving TSW forward the timetable needs to be a place where scenarios happen randomly and that would add the next level of fun to TSW.

Yes and maybe also a % selector as to what chance there will be of something going wrong.

A percentage selection is a great idea. Especially If your driving an older route where there's a lot more chance of break downs.

Yes and it also gives a better or worse chance of something going wrong depending on how you feel, you might want a slim chance of something going wrong or you really want something to go wrong. Maybe even depend on the type of train you drive and how reliable it is?
