Now that would be an interesting concept, fishing from a 747. Of course, I meant Farming Simulator.

Maybe, maybe not. After all this is a thread about how boring TSW can get, so a bit of drift on to what else people play to relieve the tedium can perhaps be expected. Plus make DTG think about how they could make TSW more interesting.

I mostly fish Fisher Online and RF4.

Farming Simulator 25...

 

I mostly do passenger services, as I Iike those. But there are moments I'm bored with it, so on this moment I'm doing some freight services on MSB. This can be challenging uphill, I tried to get gold with the service with the 3rd loc behind, but I only got bronze after two tries. Max speed I could get was 45 KM/h, so no idea how to do it better. But atleast it's something different to not become bored.

 

Looking forward to Just Trains' "Sea fishing at Hest Bank" add-on.

What could be better than a beach camping holiday, huddled by a night-time fire while the day's catch sizzles away on a griddle and the calm sea laps the beach, the occasional sound of a passing Class 86 or 87 with the warm glow from the carriages. If the weather closes in, we can ask the lovely signalman if we can spend some time in the signalbox and warm-up next to his electric heater or maybe huddle into the beach-side bar for a warming drink or five.

Followed by Rivet Games "Cornish Sea Fishing Odyssey" and DTG's "City fishing by the Overground", a chance to catch some freshwater fish on the Lea canal or some eels in the tidal River Roding at Barking. Not to mention the "Gatwick Plane-spotter" pack.

Matt said "expect the unexpected". I'm narrowing-down those unexpected options for you all.

 

Got the free TSW5 download on arrival, played daily.
Relented and got the deluxe pack at Xmas purely for the Pendo and the WCMLs route. That crashed everytime I ran it, lost some drive with the game, so dropped tp 3 times a week for an hour or so. This was a known issue at purchase, but it killed it for me somewhat.
Got most of the UK content, but stopped at JTs WCML. Really enjoyed it, but didnt get me as much as Blackpool Branches did, have no reason why. Not procured a thing since, lost drive and not played it in about three months.

Still checking on the updates, patches and new routes, but nothing has pulled me back. Will await the uplift, or, fallout from TSW6 release. Will upgrade for free again, but feel that the TSW5 bugs need to be completely removed before I get back to investing evenings back in it.
The new BCC pack may get me back in, my local route and one I've put the most time into outside of Blackpool branches.

Ideally, would love NTP and TVL to be upgraded with a load more stock to fill the route. Loco DLCs like the Class 20, 33 and 52 seem to have disappeared. Would love them to get back to that, another way to breath life back into older routes (just like BCC).
