I'm curious to know what everyone's PC specs are, anyone with a 5090 yet? (I know expensive) I'll start with mine: Windows 11 Home Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB midi tower MSI MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI socket 1700 mainboard Intel® Core i9-13900KS Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT (CPU Cooler) G.Skill 32 GB DDR5-5600 MSI GeForce RTX 4090 GAMING X SLIM 24G SAMSUNG 990 PRO Heatsink 1 TB SSD SAMSUNG 990 PRO Heatsink 4 TB SSD Corsair HX1200i, 1200 Watt PSU And my monitor is a GIGABYTE AORUS FO32U2P 31.5" which is a 4k 240hz monitor.
Pretty similar Windows 11 Pro Lian Li ‘Der Bauer’ Tower Tuf Gaming Z690 Motherboard Intel Core I7 13700 64Gb Vengence DDR5 Palit Gamerock 4090 3 x WD 2 Tb SSD Be Quiet 1000w PSU 9 x Corsair QX120 Link fans Samsung G8 32 Inch 4K 240hz Monitor. Also have an 8bitdo retro keyboard as you can plug external buttons that I use for Sifa, PZB and door controls. Don't Plan on upgrading to a 5090. Not enough benefit for the cost.

Old potato... I7 4770' 24 Gb RAM. GTX 1650 4Gb. Windows 10 (two attempts to push a Win 11 update did not play particularly well). Most routes are okay at 1440p for 30 FPS, if all else fails there is 1080p and Lossless Scaling. Hopefully new PC will appear in October or November.
Do you find the 7800X3D CPU helps at all with stuttering and in lowish FPS places like Frankfurt HBF?

yes, I have experienced almost no stutters on frankfurt hbf (frankfurt s-bahn route) AMD X3D CPUs are the best for gaming imo, if you're going to get one I recommend the 9800X3D as it's newer and allows real overclocking

I’ve been looking but PC’s like Alienware (Dell) only use Intel and I don’t want Intel. It’s a shame that a supposed gaming PC doesn’t use the best gaming CPU but I guess their deal with Intel is more important. Anyway, thanks for the reply. I hear a lot about how good the AMD CPU is but never spoken to a TSW user before.
I totally understand you, I also had a lot of prejudice against AMD until I faced serious problems with i9-13900K crashing all the time and since then I went to AMD and I don't regret it, stable, cold and a "fps spitter" btw, I had problems with i9-13900K on an alienware aurora R15 then I discovered about intel 13th/14th gen chronic problems

Haven't you got stores where you are where you can select the hardware you want and then let them build it for you? That's how I got my current pc.

Entry level gaming PC. TSW5 still runs great on it, especially with DX12. Intel® Core™ i5-14400F Processor 4.7 GHz 10 core) RAM: 16 GB HD Storage: 1 TB SSD (+2TB SSD External) Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB Sound: 5.5 inch alesis studio monitors I have it playing through a 4k 55" screen, which is nice. I use an PlayStation controller too, and wireless keyboard and mouse. A lot of hardware on higher end PC are overkill for a game like TSW or even Transport Fever 2. Saying that, I'll probably upgrade next year, Although there isnt much need as long as I can run the following games. TSW6 Transport Fever 2 Sprocket Arms Trade Tycoon - Tanks Stellaris Wreckfest 2 The PC I've currently got is just right for these games, so I'm a happy bunny with what I've got.

Still chugging along on my old and (t)rusty desktop: i7/7700 Nvidia GTX1070 (8Gb) 32Gb of RAM Win10 Old, but runs TSW pretty well at 1080p with reasonably high settings, keeping 40/50 fps apart from the busiest stations.
My PC (I use most of the time): • Ryzen 3 2200G • Aorus RX570 • 32GB RAM • Windows 10 Runs OK, but when playing around areas like Frankfurt it's a mess. Laptop: • Intel i7 7th gen • RTX 2060 • 16GB RAM Plays WCMLS a lot better.

Yup! I was a victim of this. Chip burned alive and failed due to motherboard defaults over-volting. Thankfully, this has been fixed with bios updates, and I was able to get my chip (i9 14900k) RMA'd and replaced at no cost. Didn't even need to explain much to Intel for them to accept and process the replacement.
in my case, dell/alienware replaced the fault cpu but it didn't help at all, so I decided to return the pc and get the money back and build a pc myself absolutely no regrets
I run at 4k on a Samsung 43" Neo Qled 4k ,res set at 100%, I limit frame rate to 60, set settings to ultra ,5090 runs at about 40% useage, its under volted to 875mv keeps temp down to around 55-59 degrees c.
Mine's a fairly old beastie now: AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB Intel Core i7-7700 @3.60GHz 16GB RAM Win 10 I run TSW from an SSD, so that helps a bit, got decent framerates on WCML Shap when it first came out, but now it struggles heavily around Carlisle in particular...not sure if it's something I've changed, something that's broken or something that updated. The other routes run fine, London to Brighton, SEHS, ECW, North Pennine, Bakerloo, GOBLIN, the odd small stutter when loading some stations, but nothing catastrophic.
Intel Core i9-14900K 64 GB DDR5 @ 6,000 MHz NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 6TB Samsung EVO 990 Pro M.2 4TB Seagate 7,200 RPM Windows 11 Home I used to use a Ryzen 9 7950x3D but noticed considerably more stuttering. Found that games were more stable for me with the Intel chip.
