The speed limits on the track monitor can get pretty bunched up making it very hard to tell what your next speed will be.

This was a Class 158 service on ECML from Grantham to Peterborough just before Peterborough station.

seeing that you are approaching a stations (Peterborough) always stick at the lowest ones. this just means that you are crossing many railways in which the crossings are 15 -2 25 mph and the lines themselves are higher. your are like going from line to line to line. Always just shoot for the lowest one. 15mph in this situation. this doesnt usually happen on the mainline when it matters.

It is supposed to dynamically adjust but guess it only goes so low as regards distance. Once you've driven the route a few times chances are you will remember what the speed limits are. Still better than the original HUD where you only had the next limit displayed, then could find yourself on top of a substantially lower one a few yards later.

Agree. I think they could improve it although by only giving you the relevant speed limit according to your path. So if you are changing over multiple times, only register the slower speed limit that is enforced when switching tracks versus the main line speed which should be shown after you've completed changing tracks.
