Train swap in timetable mode. Like 390 to HST, M7 to M3, etc. I know you can put your train in the timetable, but that's not it. I want to ride the existing service on a replacement train.
And search by the creators' pseudo too to see all the creations linked to the user. Often in formation/scenarios, people put the pseudo's user of the livery used and it is almost impossible to find the livery (already I find the search in the CC is not crazy). And speaking of formation, I would like DTG to make formation playable in the timetables like the liveries without using freeroam (I don't use freeroam personally because I don't find it interesting)
I agree in fact there is one hump yard under a Motorway that is on the Northeast Corridor Trenton to Boston route Oak Island New York. Perhaps owners of NEC Trenton-Boston and Westbahn Wien Kledering Linz Hbf get to use the Hump yard mechanics. Although Kledering uses a 1064
Having it so downloading a scenario from creators club also downloads the connected liveries at the same time
My wish is driving any train on any route while in time table mode. With out restrictions. So that mean I want to take my 483 and drive it on any route. And yeah I’m not talking about scenario planner. I’m talking about just like any other route using time table with any train of your collection.
I hope they make the locomotive headlights more realistic and re-design the route editor so it's easy to use similar to TSC and Trainz22. I will not purchase any more DLC and only plan on getting the free update unless they add more US freight locomotives and routes.
My two cents worth and it seems folks dont talk about enough when it comes to things we'd like to see. - Draw distance - Shadow draw distance In the base game they are awful. Im a PC user and have modded the shadow distance to x50 and the Draw distance/foliage to x10 be editing the game engine Ini file. Yes, changes to max distance will gobble up FPS, especially on Gen 8 consoles, but we could at least have this in the menu settings for everyone. Im still baffled why so many youtubers stream their vids with default draw distance with foliage popping up about 2 yards in front of the train. It make even professional vids look jarring and hard to watch. To allow it to be adjustable for us all could be an easy fix and likely well appreciated by content providers too.
A proper map of the region you are driving through showing its location relative to other towns and cities in the country the route is set in.
Yes you can spawn your train. But it has to be a specific type of train for the route you use. What I am saying for example. Taking the 484 on placing it on west coast main line with time table mode operational. But the 484 won’t move in TSW5. I don’t want to use scenario planner coz first you can’t drive the full route on some. Second I don’t want to waste time setting up ai trains. While just use the time table function which will be simple
484 isn't gonna run on wcml unless you put it on the overground lines because it's a third rail train. Put it in scenario planner on off the rails however, it'll run just fine
I know you have to set up the path of course. But it still won’t move cos dtg programmed it to do just that in tsw5.
I know about off the rail mode. I have explained that already. How ever it won’t even move on over ground as well.
More my wishlist for TSW7 than TSW6, as I don't think much will change for TSW6 now: - Train Sim World API - I want to share my recent completed Timetables, Scenarios or Progress in Train Sim World on my Website. - More Things to Unlock - I dont want to Drive every Train on every Route at any Time. I wish you were rewarded more for your progress. Not with these pointless badges or stickers for the (unused) livery editor. The unlockable Journey chapters are definitely a step in the right direction. - More, more, more Achievements - I don't think I need to say much about that. But 3 Achievements for one route are clearly not enough for me. - Passenger/Freight Counter - It would be cool if there was more data about the completed train service on the final screen. For example, how many passengers or how much freight (total weight) you have transported. Perhaps also weekly or monthly statistics in the player profile. - InGame Driver´s LogBook - I would like to have an InGame Driver´s logbook that shows me my last train services (maybe with filters or search engine). - Where you started - How much time it took you to complete - How many points you scored (no medals) - How many km/miles you traveled - Which rolling stock you used - and more. - Adjust Drivers Point of View - I wish there were a setting option in the pause menu where you could adjust your Field of View with a few sliders. The simplest. Up/down, left/right and forward/back. Without having to quit the game and go to the main menu. - Sliders for Engine.ini Options in Game Settings - It would be nice if the options that you now have to laboriously change via Engine.ini could simply be changed via a few sliders in the game settings.
In game NPC's featuring your favourite DTG employee. Look it's Alex and JD. Who's that driving the 66. But the will have the same behaviour.
A very minor thing, but I'd like TSW6 to revert the change TSW5 brought to the timer on the HUD. In TSW4, the normal HUD had a clock timer and the minimal HUD had the barber's pole, but in TSW5 the barber's pole was forced on both HUDs. I really don't like the barber's pole, so I'd prefer being able to choose between the two, regardless of which HUD I'm using.
Hopefully we won't have to stand around anymore if we arrived at the end of the line 9 minutes early and now the game won't count the passengers disembarking until the scheduled time.
When I started playing TSW, I was surprised by the lack of a NYC subway. It should be here! I would also be interested in having Chicago and LA subways.
My main wishes are the return of the fast moving external camera on consoles and the return of american freight to TSW.
A work around if you have a keyboard plugged in and hold shift you can fast travel with the controller. At least on Xbox it works. Annoying but works.
The ability to haul modern EMU / DMU with locos. Maybe not prototypical but being able to drag a unit with various locos would be nice, other than the ROG 37 and the Cargoline 66 on E-G, for example an 801 with a 47. The couplings available on those do connect to other units but brake capability is an issue. Perhaps a translator coach for some units to use in formation designer if not. (Not my picture)
After reading the complete mess the DTG/Rivet Class 170 cash grab seems to be, my instant promotion to top of the wishlist is that Rivet have not been allowed anywhere near the content - route or trains - for TSW6.
Agreed. I played my cards right this go around not immediately throwing money at them blindly and waited for the feedback to see if Rivet finally got their act together, which they didn't. Like you've said before in another thread Vern, there's bugs and there's glaring issues that should've never made it past the 3D modeler's eyes. I mean there's just no way in any sense are they testing the products at all. Not in the condition they release in. Bugs don't just happen to appear the moment you sit in the driver's seat, oh but if you don't test the damn thing maybe they just might! I'm actually very curious on why DTG insists on keeping them as a third party developer, because at this point in time they've been more of a liability than an asset.
If that were the case, we would get a maximum of 1 UK route every year. So be careful what you wish for.
Except that it's nowhere near a complete mess. You get exactly what one would expect, namely a reworked class 170 and a new (better) timetable. And yes, that means the issues with the BCC route itself were not fixed. Rivet did a pretty decent job on this one.
That's not what I'm reading particularly as the sounds still appear to be off. Not wasting my money or refund karma to find out.
Not my image but it would be a dream come true if TSW6 gave us this... And I could happily live with three trains a day each way, plus a freight and the odd excursion or railtour.
Lampoil in the bin for that one, would be day one for me. JT have done it already in TSC but that is very much showing its age.
If you are on PC you can download a mod in which you can change menu music and buttons sounds in tsw 5 (there are also soundtracks that aren't from tsw franchise) Here it is: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...326-tsw-menu-music-mods-tsw2020-button-sounds
Honestly I just want more variation! Give me more steam, more routes that no longer exist, more countries!
I only know it is Scottish by the blue name plate. So which one of your wee obsessions is it Vern . The TSC route that merges Glasgow and environs with the line to Fort William and Mallaig is one of my faves in regards Scotland.
Picture is Kyle of Lochalsh. Terminus of the line from Inverness. Available on TSC. The West Highland is great also. Would be good for TSW but they claim to use a Lampoil process for choosing routes. As these lines dont have 300 identical services they fail the process......
That's what the majority want. Green lights Same platforms/Routings for all trains One handle 66s EMUs Modern Toilets Lifts Moths No random failures/delays Dostos
The “majority” seem like a bunch of boring people that you wouldn’t want to invite to parties because they would kill the mood
Yes if I want boring, I’ll fill in one of my (retired) staff travel boxes and take a trip to Reading, Bristol or Cardiff on a GWR Cucumber. Well going to Bristol there’s a slight bit of interest when it turns into a diesel cucumber just east of Chippenham as the GW electrification seems to have run out of steam!
I would, of course, also like to see the german 'Rollbahn' for TSW6, ideally around the turn of the millennium with the class 101, 103 (in an adapted form, finally without the fairing), and 120. For local traffic, a class 141 (aka 'Knallfrosch' with its unmistakable sound) would be great, as it ran between Münster and Osnabrück. In terms of length, the entire route, Wanne-Eickel - Osnabrück - Bremen - Hamburg, could be a problem (approx. 355 km). Given the length, DTG won't be able or willing to do that. A realistic route would therefore be either Wanne-Eickel - Münster (approx. 67 km), Münster - Osnabrück (approx. 50 km, my favorite), or, with a lot of goodwill, Osnabrück - Bremen (approx. 122 km). I also consider the latter section unrealistic due to its length and the large number of stations. Bremen - Hamburg, at approximately 116 km, would be possible too, but I'd consider it rather semi-good considering the two already known stations (Bremen and Hamburg). Given the less work involved (both main stations are already there), it would definitely be the easier option for DTG. My favorite would definitely be the Münster - Osnabrück route, simply because of the topography and because I took my first railway photos there as a child (around Natrup-Hagen, also at the known barrier post 103, where the barriers were still moved by hand for a long time) and spent hours along the line. Perhaps, given the relatively short distance, a branch line would be possible (e.g., the heritage railway in Lengerich). Admittedly, it's a dream, but why not? With all the huge german cities and railway lines (Frankfurt, Hanau, etc.), it would be nice to have something more tranquil, even if the 'Rollbahn' isn't exactly tranquil. I can dream, because in the end things will turn out completely differently and there will be another ICE where you can sit in the driver's cab without any noise (like on the ICE-T).
i would love to see regenerate terrain reset in the pc editor. like the one in tsc editor. also for the formation designer loaded and unload cars feature and fuel setting for locomotives.
