Failed To Publish File On Steam Workshop

There is one scenario I am trying to upload which still won't, I have tried with another scenario to see if it was a problem with just the individual scenario or Steam Workshop as a whole and the other one worked. I have checked to see if the issue is 3rd party content but it can't be because it says Ready to Publish. Yet I still get the Failed to Publish File message. I have changed the scenario screenshot, and made sure it is the correct file size but that doesn't do anything.

 

Have you used anything from the Steam Marketplace? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they cause a scenario to be rejected.

 

I think when it says Ready to Publish it is being checked and if it finds a problem then you get Failed to Publish.

 

Not necessarily because if you use third party routes/rolling stock it will tell you in that box that it can't publish.

 

I can't remember but I have used items from Steam Marketplace in scenarios before and I was still able to upload them onto the workshop.

 

I did not say you were using third party rolling stock. I said it is finding a problem.
Only you know what you have used in the scenario

Do you have any repaints in the scenario?

 

Yes, I have 1 reskin, but other scenarios where I use reskins upload fine.

 

Try uploading it without that reskin and just the default loco
You would then prove that it is or not the problem.

 

I didn't do that but I tried uploading it with a screenshot from a different scenario (and then deleted it from the workshop) and that worked. It showed the screenshot was the problem not the reskin, the problem is now finding a screenshot from that scenario that will let me upload it.

 

So you still don't know if the reskin is causing the problem or not.

 

Well surely if it uploaded with a different screenshot from a different scenario then it would mean the screenshot was the main issue not the reskin.
