Münsterland project. Therefore, I've decided to create a fictional German route, the "Windwalder Regionalnetz." In its initial version, this route will start from an old regional line (with many form signals) and then transition to a new railway line shortly before Windwalderhausen-Süd. This route simulates the 2015-current period. It will still have form signals in certain places, as well as other signals such as KS and HV. The largest station on the route will be Windwalderhausen-Nord. This station has a total of 18 platform tracks, 4 of which terminate. The remaining 14 are divided into two sections with switches between them to facilitate traffic flow. Windwalderhausen Hbf is a station divided into several levels. Level +1 has 6 terminating tracks in the direction of Windwalderhausen-Nord. (Track 1 til 6) Level -1 has 4 terminating platforms in the direction of Windwalderhausen-Nord. (track 11 til 14) 'Planned for ending Sbahn' Level -2 has 4 through tracks to Windwalderhausen-Süd and beyond. (track 21 til 24) Level -2a Sbahn has 4 tracks for the S-bahn (track 31 til 34) 'Planned for Connect North with West via sbahn' Pictures from Windwaldhausen Hbf Pictures from Windwaldhausen Hbf
Station Kreutzhaven A separate S-Bahn line will also run between Kreutzhaven and Kreutzhaven-Ost. This will be used exclusively by the S9, which is planned to extend to Kreutzhaven in the future.
Fictionalizing is a bit more fun. You can do everything yourself. It's also more complicated, though, because you have to figure out everything yourself, including the stations, signal placement, and cities. --- I chose to create the route in a less mountainous section. Because it might be the first fictitious route for TSW when it's finished. The timetable is also complicated to create. You really have to test everything thoroughly: - S Bahn - RB - RE - IC - ICE e and test every stop thoroughly. And check the timetable to make sure it doesn't interfere with each other. --- But it's also possible that multiple versions of the same map will eventually be released. The final plan is for the route to be 200 km long between a border town and the state capital of Abhausen. --- Two cities are planned with their own S-Bahn network: - Windwaldhausen S-Bahn (with two exotic S-Bahn lines terminating outside the city: S5 and S9). - Adhausen will also get an S-Bahn network. But I don't know yet what it will look like. I'm still about 60 km away from it. --- Initially, no freight service is planned. Because I don't want to build a ring road around Windwaldhausen. And since I don't want freight running through station tunnels, freight service isn't an option yet. --- Work is underway to expand the S9 (it currently stops at North Station). In the next version, it will no longer run north, but to Westkreuz. The S9 connection will then be replaced by the S2. This currently runs between Bürg (Weinwasser) Hbf and Windwaldhausen-North. This will be extended to Hbf (tracks 11-14). However, that layer will not be in use in the first version. --- Everything from Kreutzhaven and the Dutch border will run on tracks 21-24 (the layer that is the deepest). --- Tracks 1-6 are mainly used for IC, RB, and RE trains that stop at Windwaldhausen Hbf. This means that most of them are separated. This creates space to plan over 700 trips between Noord and Hbf. --- The signals in Windwaldhausen are mainly Compact Signals. The Sbahn is mainly protected by HV signals. This only applies if the Sbahn runs on its own track and does not connect to main lines. --- Future plans for Windwaldhausen Hbf: Tracks 31-36 for through Sbahn trains. However, this is not yet planned in the first version. --- Special Sbahn. S88. This connects the Nordkreuz stations to the North Station. It only has five stops planned. I eventually want to run this as an S8 to an airport.
I wonder, will you implement LZB and what would be the max-speed (since you implement IC/ICE trains)? Regardless, I am SUPER excited for this and wish you the best for you and this project
If not already planned, could a seperate/partial high speed line be an option? Maybe going up to 300 kmh? Another question, are there plans to implement GNT sections? Final question. Is it an option to implement the Br 420 into the Sbahn services? I guess its likely to be released before you can finish your project.
Initially, the IC and ICE trains will run on standard track due to the construction of a separate high-speed line (this is under development in V1 and will be partially installed, but also partially not). This will be completed in V2. The IC/ICE trains would then run on it. Until V2, the lines between the RE and RB trains will run on standard tracks. The lines will run on PZB (regional rail system). There will be no LZB (long-distance rail system) in the first version. This is due to a regional line that will have some Fern track. Therefore, I don't think it's necessary to install LZB for the first version. LZB would require a lot of extra scripting work. The maximum speed on the line is supposed to be 130 km/h. But in many places this won't be feasible. (Only the IC and ICE can reach it.) --- There is in V2 a highspeed line planned. this one will get to max 250 km/h. Whit LZB (But nog in V1). There are no GNT routes planned at the moment. Like LZB, that requires a lot of scripting. But I expect this will be included in V3, due to the extensive regional lines near Abhausen. And to accommodate the BR612. Getting back to the BR420. I've planned to use it on the S3 and S9 because of its fast acceleration in real life. It would be on these routes if the BR420 were also released. --- S Bahn rolling stock deployment: S1 (Planned Sbahn to airport) = BR423 S3 = BR430 S9 = N-Wagens+BR111 (Until the 420 there is) S8 = BR422 RE,RB rolling stock deployment: RE15 = BR111 + Dostos RB67 = BR425 RB11 = BR462 (Solo) RE1 = Dostos + BR 111 IC,ICE rolling stock deployment: ICE 11-13: ICE-T (BR411) ICE 11-17 ICE-3 (BR403) IC BR101(Expert)IC-1 Special ride Zug 10800-10805 (Peakhours 'Morning') BR110+N-Wagens Zug 48000-48010 (Peakhours 'Evening') BR110+N-Wagens This is roughly how I've planned it. Every service will run once an hour. Except for the IC and ICE. These would have seven services throughout the day. Special services during peak hours are rental services that DB rents in the game.
On the one hand, I hope a three-rail S-Bahn will arrive soon. Then I can completely disconnect the network from the main roads, as I have planned. But in V1, the S-Bahn will merge somewhere. The S-Bahn to Windwaldhausen will be around 30 kilometers long in the first version. The standard track is around 50 kilometers.
I assume the majority of people would like to have the Sbahn Berlin ingame. As you, for now, want to merge the sbahn lines with at least one of them being overhead powered, i would prefer the Sbahn Hamburg being capable of both 3rd and overhead system. At least these ones would be a bit more flexible than the Berlin units. After all we already have some signals and track for german 3rd rail. Who knows which one will make it first into Tsw.
I'm already clearing up the controversy. I've decided not to move the route to TSW6 until everything works better. The transition from 4 to 5 also didn't go as planned. I spent hours on that too. And I expect that will happen with this version as well. If it's proven that everything works better and it's worth the investment, I'll do it. But that hasn't happened yet.
Today I'm going to test the timetable to see if everything works as I want. This will also be documented later here.
I'm started planning the timetable in a excel file. it will be fuller then i was thinking S8 only running in the morning extra
