Hey everyone, Recently I tried to play a timetable 395 Javalin service (highlighted) I selected the service as normal and clicked go, not realising I had activated the quantium accelorator. Instead of starting off in the Javalin I ended up at random locations across the map and if I click restart, I just leap again and again and again. Now I know how Sam Beckett felt like, next leap might get me home? Anybody wanna try?
Sounds like a well known issue on multiple routes. Use explore on foot and spawn in 5 minutes before the start of the service.
This happens to me as well, I'm on PC/Steam Can be fun, you never know where you are going to be and might see some trains doing their thing or just wander around checking out the sights and sounds
I have been driving all the timetables of all the routes from first released to present day. I have got as far as SEHS so far (nearly finished) and this is the first time I start off with no train, I thought if I clicked restart it would solve the problem, but no I just start quantium leaping. Interesting to hear it is not the only service or route to have the quantium leap feature. Solution or work around Open the map, select the nearest spawn point to the train you are trying to drive, spawn in and look for the train. Once you find it, climb onboard and sit your bum on the seat to take control, it will then ask "do you wish to take control of......?" Just agree and there you are.
Ok, so not only Playstation then. Yes, it is funny, it sticks you in random places on the map, usually spawn points.
I've been facing a similar situation on Xbox with some US routes. on Cajon Pass I'll select a service starting in Victorville and it'll put me at either at the Sumit or Barstow. Same thing with Boston - Worcester. the game only started doing this around 2-3 weeks ago. expect to be either fixed on TSW 7 or 8
I remember when tsw5 first launched and I tried to do a conductor mode on bcc and it kept doing that.
I filed a ticket about this (for service 6Y71 Tombridge West Yard to Grain Aggregates in Journey mode). You should file one too. Seems like something broke in TSW4 or TSW5 because I haven’t encountered it while playing the same service in TSW3. You can teleport to the correct station and jump into the train before the AI runs the service for you (or you can sit in and enjoy the scenery while the AI does the work for you)
I didn't even try conductor mode when it launched, it was even buggy on the livestream, so I steered clear of it.
I have raised so many support tickets, I can't remember if I done a support ticket for this? Yeah, if you teleport to the right station and jump in the train you can drive it. I kept hitting restart and it actually put me in the right station, then it was a mad rush to catch my train literally.
How do you teleport? didn't know that was a thing. I am still learning stuff and I just tried a different time on the timetable or went to a different DLC and tried that. As for filing a ticket, I didn't bother because everyone is so gloomy about things being fixed why would I waste my time on it, I have X amount of time for stuff and learnt long ago not to waste it on stuff that either won't bring me satisfaction or stuff that is out of my control.
Ha… Maybe that’s the god mode enabling me to do it. I’m not sure. When I look at the route map, I can click on a station and get teleported to it. Oh yeah, we’re sailing the same boat. However, in my case, I refuse to let things slip unwatched and I prefer filing 25 useless bug reports than letting things go. I cannot fix the game myself (I probably would try if I had the chance), but that’s the only thing I can do. Moreover, if nobody signal an issue, there’s no way DTG will see it. So, even though I hate their bug report system, I file them and they won’t be able to say "we didn’t knew".
Hmm, good point, yep I should realy file it when I see a bug as you are correct in that unless we tell them they will never have a prod to fix it, whether they do.. well.
