Class 700 has been mentioned alot. I'm thinking it'll be either the midland mainline to Bedford or ecml extension from Peterborough into London giving the longest route in tsw

I'm not expecting a fictional route to be bundled with the core game.
It wouldn't be 60 miles and cover most sorts of services in a variety of challenging and interesting terrains.
Nor would it encourage new players to try the various offerings then decide they'd want to purchase real life routes.
By the way, was it 'expect the unexpected' or 'think the unthinkable'? :)

Will that make any difference? On PC you see nothing special there by different games.

No why they should do that? You have to wait until next week for sure!

Err, did they? On multiple streams they and their Mods shot down comments in flames that there was NO such game as TSW6 when every man & his dog knew it was on the horizon!

i hope that your prediction is not true, and that this will be the first time that DTG blow us away for TSW6 with all the new features and the unannounced Routes and many others things not announced. Finger cross

He's one of the youtube DTG ambassadors who I believe were briefed on what is coming a few days ago, so yeah he knows but can't say anything.

I notice the stream begins at 16:30 which is too early for me.
How long does it last please?
I am assuming I must wait until the end to being watching (from the beginning), or can I start anytime from the beginning, when I'm ready?

YT lets you rewind live streams, so if you started watching at 17:00, you'd get it live first obviously, but could wind back 30 mins to watch it from the start and you'd finish up 30 mins after live, assuming you didn't skip forward again at any point

Even better: increase the speed to 1.25x and eventually you'll catch up with the live stream, while it will cost you less time ;)

Thanks. Good point, but need to be careful to avoid spoilers!
I'd still appreciate knowing how long it is though, not an unreasonable request methinks :)

Do you also know what is coming? Can you just say in a good way or in a bad way? Can you say the feature is what we all been waiting for? The suspense is too real and we all want to know. Can you put it in words context without telling revealing?

You will see on August 26th. Thats when Dovetail Direct is.

Yes, I am an Ambassador and visited The Dovetail offices last week.

Nope as I have signed an NDA. I did put it into context by saying "I can say this. I think some of you will be a bit happier, in fact I am hoping most of you will be. :) Just expect the unexpected :D", But to some I was being patronizing and breaking my NDA. Not sure how though but hey. Just under a week to go. You'll be fine.

Well, among the threads we have condescending ambassadors and a couple of people who are pretending they are " in the know " ( wink, wink ) but who are just guessing like everyone else. Or else they've heard some second hand " pillow talk ".

Anywhoo, it doesn't really matter. At this point TSW6 is what it is and, rather like Schroedinger's cat, it's simultaneously both thrilling and mundane until the box is opened next Tuesday and we find out which. Either way the NDA seems like an endangered species, doesn't it? ;)

Gotta say though DTG has done a good job of keeping the details under wrap, by apparently keeping their employees incommunicado. ;)

At this point quite laconic about the whole thing. In fact, having started rewatching the Fallout TV show I also reinstalled Fallout NV (which it seems closest to in spirit) and having a blast without worrying or even particularly caring what's in TSW6.

Yeah, exactly the same for me

Saw the new Trailer for Fallout had dropped and watched it around 4 times to look at what is coming and thought it might be time to head back to the wasteland

TSW6 will be what it will be, no point in worrying about it until something concrete is known

"A BIT" happier, so are you saying that some of us will be happy and some of us will be disappointed. This hint doesn't give us so much, in fact it make me feel that oh no its going to be just like tsw5 which many was disappointed> :|:|:|:(

Its all about personal preference, I'm sure its going to be the usual half and half as you can't please everyone.

There will be people upset or think its not advancing fast enough.

TBH knowing is not that much fun as you can't really paticipate in any speculation on the forums because you may give away something.

For the most part I don't care where the UK route is geographically...

But what I do care about is the route not being a repeat of last years abysmal release, with very poor build quality, poor scenery quality, lack of accountability, unpadded timetables, and just being a overall deflating experience that was completely over hyped and still hasn't been brought upto standard.

Cardiff City Network gave the impression not many lessons have been learnt since the WCMLS disaster. I sincerely hope that DTG have learnt a hard lesson since last year, and sincerely hope this years content will be everything last years content wasn't.

As I've said previously I'll be sitting firmly on the fence this year until I've seen physical previews of the UK route, and it will be the first time I won't be pre ordering until I see the standard of the route in the flesh.

Damn Straight, the amount of times I have nearly slipped in my streams... its ridiculous lol.

    Upto you.
Just take it with a pinch of salt.
At the end of the day its a game. Its not life. Just treat it as that.
I am not asking for anyone to trust me or anyone else. Its down to you what you make or take from the announcement in a few days time.

I'm confused by the 'lol' at the end, does that mean you don't actually hate and feel hurt by some people knowing something you don't know?

Anyway, as said, it's just a game and just a few days before all will be revealed. I've got plenty of things to occupy my mind with before the 26th, I'm sure you have too.

yeah there’s one thing that my mind is occupied with and that’s not skyrocketing my blood pressure but that’s a tad difficult at the moment since my first week of university and the DTG Direct are in the same week. It’s a weird part of my brain that makes me worry about new games which weren’t required

As long as the early-access doesn't feel like the game is alpha stage lol, the early access that we had last year was dreadful. I understand it's "early access" too but there was a lot of elements of the game missing such as the 710 & the timetable was quite bad in my opinion.

Having that DTG have really stepped in the progression and game development in the games life of TSW5. I'm hoping they've really stepped up on their a-game with this.

The concept of "early access" in this situation (the most expensive versions get to play 5 days or a week early) is actually insane to me. If the game is ready, allow everyone to play it, not just those who decide paying a ridiculous amount of money for a game is OK. Not to mention they advertise it as a feature of those expensive editions, then people who buy said edition later get worse value for money

Paying extra for privilege (in this case, getting access early) is nothing new, and there are lots of games that offer this. In the case of TSW though, where early access usually only gets you the content for that version but not the previous DLC (which for store reasons isn't available until the official launch date), is frankly not worth much.

I think it was a £20 difference for the deluxe edition. It's not too bad, I'll admit the special edition was expensive being around the £100 mark.

I'm probably going to buy the deluxe edition for TSW6 again just to get the extra bit of DLC that gets added to whatever route get released

The special edition is, of course, more expensive as it contains older DLC; its purpose is to give new users (or those without much older DLC) a chance to flesh out their collection for layering in the new core routes.

Given the state that the main (for me) core route for TSW5 was in when it released, I'll almost certainly hold back from pre-ordering the deluxe edition this time, at least until I've seen from preview streams what it looks like. Unless of course it has the c2c (London, Tilbury & Southend Railway) line in it, in which case shut up and take my money.:)

Yeah, I will give dtg credit in that the really expensive editions actually have useful stuff, unlike some
