Just in case anyone has missed it, the Cross Country Class 220 Voyager will be released for the upcoming Riviera Route (Deluxe option) for Train Sim World 6.

The Great Western Railway Class 802 and Class 150 will also feature for this route.

Some high-res screenshots for you guys -

Screenshots will be added to the thread as they come through :)

Whoever made the video for the Direct did them dirty. Made it look completely washed out and unfinished.

These images look so much better.

I agree tbh. Especially riveria line. Looked pretty choppy and unfinished.

TSW invariably looks dreadful when it's even slightly overcast, it completely borks the lighting.

Will there be no UK Region Edition to purchase for TSW 6 like there was for TSW 5? If not, does that mean I'll have to purchase the Standard Edition, even through I'm not particularly interested in the US and German content?

Absolutely can't wait for the Class 220 to be in TSW. The highlight of the TSW 6 announcement.

Quite looking forward to this route. However, considering the GWR 802 and 150 will feature, personally I'd love to see Rivet's West Cornwall Local now completely upgraded to the same modern timeframe; moreover, I assume the GWE Remaster would be slightly in the wrong time-frame as the Riviera Line too as it would be nice to have the option of an 802 to Paddington etc.

One more thing, hopefully the Voyager will eventually be backdated to older routes!

Rivets west Cornwall will never happen. Apart from Fife, they’ve never gone back to fix their crappy routes.

Should really be a 221 though, as said in my reply to another thread the 220's are more usually seen on the South Coast route or the Bristol to Manchester and vv workings.

This route is also crying out for an early DLOGW2 timetable and train pack, the existing classic diesels plus throw in a Warship and a Class 50.

We don’t know what build they were showing to be fair…probably a very early one by the looks of it.

I’m surprised they didn’t do the 221 whilst they were at it, to be honest.

This was the most exciting UK announcement since WCMLS last year, and we all know how that turned out. I hope rivet were not allowed to build it or the timetable or we’ll end up with just the player train on an empty track again. Let’s hope this one hits the mark because it’s a perfect choice and the Voyager is a must have.

I just hope the Voyager gets a decent sound set as the DTG one in TSC was frankly a bit naff and we know the 802 will be a quiet train as the end cars don't have the diesel prime movers underneath.

After the WCMLS fiasco, the timetable for this route had better be correct:

    150:
    2TPH Exmouth to Paignton
The 150 should also appear on irregular Exeter to Penzance runs not run by IETs (subbing for 158)
(AI) 1TPH Exeter central to Okehampton
(AI) 1TPH Exeter Central to Barnstaple. 1 train runs to Axminster
(AI) 1TP2H Plymouth to Penzance (subbing for 158)
    (AI) 1TP2H Plymouth to Gunnislake

    802:
1TPH London Paddington to Plymouth, 1TP2H extending to Penzance
1TP2H Exeter St. Davids to Penzance. 1 train extends to Gloucester
Extensions of Paddington to Exeter services that run to Paignton or Plymouth
The 802 should sub in for services run by 4-car HSTs
(AI) Exeter to Paddington services that don't extend to Paignton or Plymouth

    220:
1TPH Plymouth to Edinburgh. 2 of these trains extend to Penzance, 2 extend to Edinburgh and another 2 to Aberdeen
    2TPD Paignton to Manchester Piccadilly

    166 (assuming it layers in):
Runs some Exmouth to Paignton services with the 150.

If a full timetable is provided, then stations like Exeter and Plymouth will feel alive with all the AI traffic, as well as announcements for these AI trains.

I agree. I love the 220. From a UK perspective the rest of it was pants.

True we’d have to drive it from the passenger car over the diesel engine, perhaps back and forth to the cab just to get a bit of grumbling to remind us we’re in a train sim and not a flight sim!

I was half expecting the route to be cut off at Paignton like the route in TS Classic. But no, it goes all the way to Plymouth! A proper end to end route AND a 150 with revamped audio?! Colour me surprised. :D

Lots of railtour potential with this route too, hoping it doesn't go to waste.

I'm praying DTG can sort out the dodgy passenger behaviour before launch otherwise my interest in the entire game will be more or less nought. TSW 5 has been sat dormant in my Steam library for this very reason.

The layers mentioned in the FAQ sound excellent, including AI steam (and playable shunting) at the two heritage lines which are on the route. Some nice rail tours and RHTT too.

Nothing for rivet on the roadmap which is interesting and certainly for the best. Wonder if DTG have listened to the community...

Would've been great to see the 221s make an appearance for XC alongside the 220s - a few differences like the bogies *and* there's always the option to include the ex-Avanti variants! ATS have just announced a Voyager pack which includes both the 220 and 221 for TSC, and it was made by Imbue - wonder if DTG are using Imbue's model for TSW. Hopefully we'll get it soon, as they already have a pretty solid base to work on.

I found some more pictures on the TSW6 Steam store page, including one of Marsh Barton station. I don't want to spam the thread so sorry if I annoy anybody with these, but I am particularly excited about this one.

getting the deluxe version of TSW6 for sure... I kinda knew they were going to put some very enticing locos/MUs into the higher versions :D ... hopefully 220 will also layer somewhere else, as a nice speedy DMU is always nice

Screenshots look very impressive. Just hope that the world outside the stations actually have people - otherwise it'll look rather lifeless and unrealistic.

It did but wasn’t much better. Then announced it was getting revisited but since nothing. Hopefully the new sound set from the GWR one will be ported over to CCN.

You can get the free TSW6 and add on the Riviera route and 220 for £29.99 and £12.99. Is less than the Duluxe pack.

Probably saving that for a new 'loco' on a future route.

The GWR 43 and 166 both also layer onto the route, as well as the MML 158 (substituting for SWT/SWR 158’s). Laira is also included, with 08’s for shunting.

The screenshots look great, so I can only assume that this route will be phenomenal!

That's what I think I'll do. I'm not particularly interested in driving in 802, but I feel the 220 will be a slightly more interesting drive. Just a shame the 221 isn't coming as well. I hope they'll be a mix of 4 and 8 coach voyagers, even if the 5 and 9 car combos aren't available.

The video was hideous (really didn't like the track/ballast textures and lighting).
But something just feels off about this route in general. I don't know if it's the scenery or textures but just can't put my finger on it.
Only the Voyager interests me as it's actually something new.

Just read the FAQ and it looks like they went to town with the timetable. IF the route is representative of the more recent screenshots then DTG have themselves onto a winner here.
