Dovetail Games Announcing Train Sim World 6 And Dovetail Direct: Summer 2025

The planned Czech route Liberec - Stara Paka will be interesting if it succeeds. But similar to the Japanese route (it was already announced for TSW5), I expect it already in TSW7

 

As I'm most in German routes, I'm kind of disappointed. The route is nice but it's just an extension of existing content which has already got an overhaul, no new locos in the standard version. US and UK routes were chosen much better in my personal view. The upcoming German route seems really short as well...
Core features sound really cool, hope they are not too much present so that you don't have too much in one run

From a UK perspective the only truly new loco is the 220 which I love. The other locos announced are locos or derivatives of locos already in the game, which is disappointing.

 

Yes, I have expected the Dresden-Leipzig route extension in TSW4 already, a Rapid Transit rebuild like LIRR would have been way more interesting, extension to Wittenberg, Halle, etc., similar to the Frankfurt S-Bahn, it would have also been not so busy, so easier to run. The City-Tunnel is really great and it does not seem to be included here? In TSC it was included at least for the same route, also I did not see any Talent 2 in S-Bahn livery, I hope it will be available at least for the people who own Rapid Transit, an update to the train would have been nice though.

Looks like there's no plans to bring TSW6 to gamepass, not sure why this version is being skipped, but it means I'll be waiting a year for them to get an 80% discount.

 

I'm fine with Dresden Leipzig but getting no new passenger rolling stock is hugely disappointing. Like the UK got so much new rolling stock and we got a shunting locomotive

 

Actually I empathize with that. Although I know approximately where the routes are located, a map or two would have helped.

I've ridden the Morristown years ago, I looked up the Devon route on an old UK road map and I know Dresden and Leipzig are in what used to be the DDR. Tadami, Czechia and the Portuguese route have no idea.

Guess we'll have to drag out the old World Atlas .

 

I am definitely getting the deluxe... routes could be better but overall ok... I am just wondering, will Dresden - Leipzig succeed the original Dresden - Riesa route? I mean, I am loving the fact we will get to drive the whole thing now... as for other content, loving the fact Czech Republic is coming to TSW, although I am not a big fan of those old diesel thingies (I vastly prefer modern Skoda EMUs and such), but at least I will get to finally learn Czech/Slovak signalling and safety stuff - anyway, this is promising we might get to see even some Slovak content in the future, hopefully electric

as for other announced routes and locos... willl get the expert one for sure for the hell of it, the Portuguese, will see... Stuttgart will get definitely, even tho I prefer more modern rolling stock...

I am also liking the fact it comes out at the end of September, which means my wallet can get wasted on some books and such in the meantime

 

If I recall correctly, there were no plans to bring TSW5 to gamepass immediately from launch either, but it made its way on there.

 

I’ve just checked and there’s no preorder discount on PS5 just the normal PS+ discount and no loyalty discount.

Yes, Train Sim World 6 will have a new set of achievements to earn. However, add-ons will not support achievements moving forward.

I'm curious that there was no mention of the HIS Santa Fe pack in the " Take A Ticket " presentation.

Take a ticket is about routes, not about separate rolling stock or gameplay packs.

The fact DTG aren't adding TSW6 to Xbox Gamepass is really disappointing for Xbox players, we never get any sales then TSW6 is not coming to game pass, I know I wont be buying anything TSW6 unless it has a very high discount. However I would like to know why this decision has been made to screw over Xbox players? Is it to make more money off of people buying the core routes? It's a shame because from the screenshots the Riviera line looks quite nice.

 

I noticed something interesting in the FAQ, and I normally use the keyboard in TSW5 on PS5 these days, and some functions are easier to control, such as switching views, the American bell, etc.

No, the console experience has been optimised for a controller. We have no plans to add support for keyboard and mouse currently.

To answer your question is the one that most people here in Train sim community us side have been asking for which is the MNRR New Haven Line- also known as the Stamford Connecticut Line featuring the used of Kawasaki M8 Trainset.

 

if your talking about random event i believe there is an option to turn it off on on, according to your preference.

 

Wait so that mean we will see an Metro North M8 along with an Amtrak train running on the same line at the same time? Does that mean we have two route on one route? Cause if this is the case this is BIG, which is the first time American route have two different train running on one route. Its about time already.

I know I said before in one of the prediction/speculation threads that I would immediately turn random events off because I don't trust them not to break something, but they do look interesting - if they don't turn out buggy.

They have Got to REDO Grand Central Terminal and Bring it UPTO Date because it does not look anything like Grand Central Terminal when they do the Stamford Connecticut Line.

 

Maybe its due to the pricing of the game? How must discount do you think we will see?

Keyboard can already be used on console, they just don't advertise it since its presumably a "happy accident"
