Really excited for TSW 6 with the UK GWR route & platform announcements and signal & faults. A little disappointed that GWE remaster is still not close. I’m guessing DTG Liam that’s because some of the cool new features will be coming to the remaster? Hopefully some 802 services as they were starting to appear in the set era and layered AI for the Voyager! Will there be more of an update in the roadmap this week?

 

release it as a Christmas release with several Christmas decorations in a special extra Christmas scenario
and a Santa Claus npc

 

Wayy too much to ask if your aiming to have it out before Christmas but why not go the full hog and have a 2025 timetable too with all the options you have available

Then again maybe that's a future add-on idea for you

 

Remember, the actual route era remains the same. So the timetable has to be a close match to the era the route represents.

 

Yes remember the test runs, they seem to phase them in slowly from 2017. The voyager appearing at Reading would be cool. Thanks Liam, will be well worth the wait.

 

idk has anyone asked this now. Now with the class 802 being introduced.
Will we get both the HST and IET timetables? Or a timetable that takes place during the transition period from HST to IETs on the GWML?

 

What of TSW6 features will GWE Remaster have? Like random faults an station announcements?

 

At this point it would make sense for Liam to improve and add the new features into the remaster. That’s what I’d expect with TSW6 dlc going forward. I hope they go back on older routes and do the same (new features & station announcements).

DTG probably already have people to record announcements (or are using AI or text to speech), but if you need someone to record lines I'm an actor with an announcer-ish voice and I'm willing to help out.

 

Here is a question Liam, could you hold the release of GWE remaster till all the new features are added or are you under pressure to release by a certain date?

 

With all due respects Liam, I’d postpone the release. If you’re allowed to? We’ve waited this long for the release, what’s a couple of months more.
If you’re planning on adding those new features to the route, go for it. Make it one of the best UK routes it can be.

 

Why no original Announcements from GWR for Stations and Trains?

 

Hopefully not because I think most of us can agree we don’t want to wait another year just for some minor new features from tsw 6 to be added

 

Cause it would be quite hard and expensive to get all the original voice actors.

 

Personally, I think release as soon as possible and then add in the features later if they are not present on launch. I’m really keen to just get my hands on Liam’s fantastic work at this point.

 

I think it’s better to get it to players sooner and then add features after. I’m sure there will be a lot of cool things to add later. It’s good for players to know updates or tweaks will happen too. I do think Dovetail should update on this, as it’s never spoken about despite everyone asking during roadmaps. It’s an immensely popular route, with arguably more interest in it than some of the new and core routes. I believe if this would have been extended to Oxford and remastered, people would have paid, and I hope everyone buys the HST pack to make all your hard work and efforts worthwhile from a business perspective.

The Inter-City and BR Blue/Yellow liveries look so good

 

Once this remaster is out, GWE will probably become my favourite route in the game, Liam really has gone above and beyond and shows what is possible with a route, even one released so long ago.

 

Why isn't Dovetail sharing them here?

Just a quick question - will the remaster or HST pack remedy or improve the Z-fighting in the HST cab on Xbox? Currently, the power car number and AWS sunflower go wild while driving along and it's pretty distracting.

 

2 years is a long time to spend on a project/route, so I can understand you want to see it finally launch, as do we all. I thought the new TSW6 features shouldn't take too long to add to GWE, sorry I didn't realise you had to learn how to use the new system/software. The HST pack looks stunning, day one purchase right away.

 

Is this still going to be a free update ?

I mean i dont mind at all, but thats a ton of work happening here and comparing it to some payware content.... it's actually hard to believe.

Keep it on and take your time DTG Liam , im sure its going to be superb, with or without new features.

There’s little to no info on GDG when I search online.
I guess I would just like to know a bit more about the brand and the future for it going forward.
