    Edit:
    Yes, It Is.
I just read it in the FAQS.

Wow, I’m pretty excited for this. The Riviera Line sounds great and I remember the Morristown line being quite a challenging one to run in TSC with many grade changes etc.

25 years ago I did some work in NJ, and Summit was my local station, so it will be nice for me to see it again. I wonder if the Gladstone branch might be represented?

    Update: FAQ says not

My honest opinion is as a German player is, well... conflicted. This might be a tough call for me, as I really like the US offer this time (I usually hate those) and it would be amazing to pick up. The British one also seems interesting. I just really don't like the German one. This is the second rehash of Dresden Riesa if you think about it and no new trains?! It will still be a day one pickup for me as I really like the 294 which will come as DLC. Just I feel that this is a slight scam if there is no discount for DRA owners which they did for the LIRR extension.

I’m hoping that as there is no mention of Rivet, they’ve been asked to bugger off and never darken our doorsteps again.

The Free starter pack just has the training centre, like TSW5 did.

That's rubbed me the wrong way that. Having to have ps+ to get a little discount. Like come on that's a bit of a joke considering all other platforms just get 10% off for anyone.

Can’t wait to get started on this game. A little upset that the extended Dresden route won’t include dresden flughafen as it’s only a short link from neustadt but besides that I’m very impressed.

Just enough to convince me to pre order the Deluxe pack, which I note has increased in price by £5 over last year even though one of the routes is part recycled and no new trains on its basic level. South Devon without a doubt is the main attraction, caveats and concerns about Rivet involvement notwithstanding. Ordering Deluxe is pretty much essential as without the Voyager (which should really have been a 221) you will be missing a good number of services. Also likely to be noisier than the 802 Cucumbers where the end cars are not equipped with the underfloor diesel engines so technically no traction thrash. Unless some liberties have been taken.

Hello, I was wondering as it wasn't said on stream or in the articles and FAQs - Is there going to be regional versions of TSW6? Or do we make our own with the free starter pack and buy the Route and Bouns Loco? Thanks.

It looks like that the bogies of the BR294 in the movieclips on youtube are mis aligned, same like the Class86/2. The bogieframe sits to low, the axlebox doens't aligne with the wheelaxle. But on some of the screenshot is looks ok. Hopefully it was a work in progress in he movie clips and the screenshot show a later correct version. In overall it looks very nice, can't wait!

    Hey there,

This year, there won't be any regional bundles available. You can still grab the Free Starter Pack and purchase any individual core route that catches your interest. This is to streamline your shopping experience by reducing the overall number of available bundles.

    All the best,
    Jan

Given the price rise compared to last year a rather poor decision. I mean, I’ve ordered Deluxe for the PC but for PS5 I might have been tempted to grab a UK Regional edition for £30; your (as in DTG’s) financial loss. I will take the free edition and as happened with TSW5 wait until the core routes are on a deep sale.

So what about if someone sees tsw6 after the starter pack has ended, but only wants, for example the Riviera Line? Now they have to shell out an extra £10 for the standard edition when they don't actually want 2/3rds of it's content

Then it looks like they have to wait for a sale, unfortunately. As I just posted above a very poor marketing decision. I mean I was borderline on being sufficiently interested in the German and US routes to just have gone for a UK edition this time round. Only the Voyager and the old EMU on NJT tilted the scales. The German extension is not really piquing my interest and if I want to drive the 294 I’ll fire up Zusi 3.

The core routes will still be able to be purchased individually, we just won't offer specific regional bundles like last year. It's essentially a "Build your own regional bundle", if you want to look at it like that.

I did ask in another thread.... However, with the Cardiff City Network. Matt mentioned potentially updating the 150s sounds if they could. Or at least words to that effect. With the GWR 150 having updated sounds, will this mean the TfW 150 will be updated?

I'll be honest, I bit the bullet and paid full (minus the 10% off) this time around. I might not play all of the content, but I'm pretty excited for what's been announced compared to TSW 5's cycle.

Compared to the new features TSW 5 brought us, i do think TSW 6 is a major improvement.
While i still understand if someone dislikes the new game every year cycle, this one feels actually appropriate given the amount of new features. Sure, announcements should have already been in the game before, but instead of arguing about that, just be happy they are a thing now.
The route choices are probably the best ones we had so far and even without a new base route loco, Leipzig to Dresden sure is something to look forward to. Especially with the 294.

For the first time in years, I’m actually excited. Still feels like it could’ve been an update, but DTG have their business model and it works for them. As annoying as it is, it’s not something people can really fault them on IMO.

train faults in excited for, signal “delays” remains to be seen. It’ll have to be realistic and not predictable for me. I’d also like to see signals set back to red unexpectedly once in a blue moon, say to simulate human error, or signal failures if it isn’t already part of it

TSR - good idea again, but like signals, remains to be seen. It’ll again, have to be realistic and not predictable. I hope they’ve implemented flooding or pway workers on or near the line when they’re implemented. Or, at the very least they look into the possibility of adding these things to make the feature more fully fledged at a later date.

" Streamline your shopping experience ?" Give me a break! That's business speak for boosting the bottom line.

I was counting on the US regional edition and it's absence is frankly inexplicable and a real letdown.

I'm not attracted to the deluxe edition because I felt I got stung last year with 3 disappointing routes. And not at all impressed by the $$ price increase.

These are obviously decisions driven by the desire to maximize profits but I won't be suckered in. I will take the free starter pack and bide my time for a sale on the rest. Got plenty to keep myself occupied.

Hey there :) Each core route will still be available for separate purchase, we just won't offer a dedicated "bundle" option on our storefronts like we did in previous years. This only means that there will be three less options on the storefront, like in this example for TSW 5 on Steam:

You are still able to pick up each of the components individually, meaning the Free Starter Pack and the core route of your choice.

All the core bundles you mentioned are available on both Gen 9 and Gen 8, you can read more about it in our official FAQ

Fully agreed. The special edition this time around seems to be completly made up of TSW 5 routes. As I have not bought any DLC for a while, the special edition is an absolute steal for me this time. 8 routes for 107 Euros is a massive bargain.

Works out at around £12 a route for the UK folk. That's IF you only count the routes.... or £8.50*-9.50 per DLC if you factor in the additional locomotives.

OK. I see now that I can purchase Morristown plus the ALP45DP for about $57 on top of the free starter pack.

Then I apologize for sounding a bit huffy, though I'm still not sure why this change was made.

Maybe a stupid question, will the Free starter pack remain available in the library for possible reinstallation, even after its availability expires? Thank you

Once you claim it, it's added to your account permanently
