Free Starter Pack – Available from Launch




Get a chance to experience the excitement of Train Sim World 6 FOR FREE, in the form of our latest Free Starter Pack, available from launch day.

Train Sim World 6: Free Starter Pack will feature an updated version of the Training Center route, along with unbranded versions of the Class 66, 8F Steam Locomotive, Class 323, BR 146 + Dostos and new this year, we've also added the SD40-2 Diesel locomotive this year as a bonus.

This pack can welcome in brand new players into Train Sim World for the first time, but also allows all existing players to upgrade to the latest core game for free, and bring their TSW compatible content along with them (See below for more details).

As a bonus mention, following our announcement in February earlier this year for Caltrain licensed content being removed from TSW, we're happy to announce that we're bringing back these add-ons as new unbranded releases, with existing owners being granted entitlements to continue playing in TSW6 and beyond. You can expect this to release shortly after the launch of Train Sim World 6, and we will be sharing more details in FAQs and articles soon.

TSW6 Information & Roadmap Coming Tomorrow!
The unexpected is now... expected! Get ready for much more information on all these releases over the coming days, weeks and months, starting with the Train Sim World August 2025 Roadmap (Parts One & Two) publishing from tomorrow, on August 27th and 28th.

Releasing tomorrow, August 27th, will be the first part of our TSW6 Roadmap, featuring more screenshots and details of the core routes, locomotives and features. On August 28th, we'll be covering all our partner releases in a second edition of the Roadmap, and getting more information from these developers of their upcoming content coming to TSW6.

This year, there won't be any regional bundles available. You can still grab the Free Starter Pack and purchase any individual core route that catches your interest. This is to streamline your shopping experience by reducing the overall number of available bundles.

The core routes will still be able to be purchased individually, we just won't offer specific regional bundles like last year. It's essentially a "Build your own regional bundle", if you want to look at it like that.

 

Hey there Each core route will still be available for separate purchase, we just won't offer a dedicated "bundle" option on our storefronts like we did in previous years. This only means that there will be three less options on the storefront, like in this example for TSW 5 on Steam:



You are still able to pick up each of the components individually, meaning the Free Starter Pack and the core route of your choice.
