I have a bad feeling that this won't be the case as we did not see these trains at all in the video despite they are running up to Oschatz, the worst case would be if they use the red 442 for these stops. I also do not know why they did not include the tunnel part, it is best and most interesting thing in Leipzig.

The 1442 needs a general update, it is just really awful and outdated, the additional PIS screens do not work at all and they still only show the destination and not the time, next stop, etc. we have seen on other trains.

Gotta say, while I'm pleased to see the Riviera Line, Morristown Line and a new Czech and Portugese route announced, I was kinda hoping we'd see another Dutch route. It's a bummer not to see more Dutch content announced. Zwolle-Groningen seemed to be doing well in sales and reviews.

As interesting as the new announced content sounds, it somehow saddens to see, that those who supported TSW back in 2021 in purchasing "Train Sim World 2: Rush Hour" don't seem to get any rewards. It doesn't feel like a reward to have to pay a second time for the Riesa to Dresden portion, sans Friedrichsfeld. But, so be it, than it'll be the core update and the remainder will be purchased only during a sales later on, if at all.

What did catch interest is the Czech route and Stuttgart. Will wait and see, if the content for Stuttgart will be more accurate, compared with the Avmz207.

On the other hand the announcements sound like an interesting feature. Hope for Nuremberg to find its way into TSW, preferably in the 1980s or 1990s, pre 1994.

    Kind regards.

Same here. When it was said that there would be 3 new countries in TSW6, I hoped Belgium would be one of them. Wasn't to be. I was not really expecting it. What I was expecting was an announcement of a second Dutch route. So that was a big dissapointment. I hope we will not have to wait untill TSW7 before we get a new Dutch route.

Well, most add-ons announced on the roadmap are third party ones, with not a lot of DTGs own content announced. They gotta be working on more, so who knows...

Still, a Japanese, Czech and Portugese route is pretty awesome too. Although we've known for the Japanese route for a while.

I'm afraid, as it has been the case so far, that if a station from the previous map is "taken over", like NY Penn here, it will suffer from the same errors. What fundamentally bothers me about NY Penn is the collision of some platforms with trains, the traffic profile is simply not maintained there and the trains are submerged into the edge of the platform. I think we saw it yesterday in some footage from NY Penn. And another thing, freight traffic was planned for NY - Trenton, then it was eventually banned, allegedly for performance reasons ...... I assume that there will be no traffic anywhere on the Morristown line either? At least the additional layers in the basic description of the individual maps don't say that.

As for the newly announced map from the Czech Republic, first of all, the studio that is supposed to create it was founded four months ago, what I was looking for, probably specifically for this project, I don't know, I think ....... but the question will be how it will be done in terms of the landscape and especially what the rolling stock will be in general, I don't mean the 843 series motor car and the 750 series locomotive. In the real world, there is a 943 series driver car for the motor car and a 043 series car has been added. Another question will be the freight cars, will suitable cars from those currently available be used? For example, there is already a container car with Czech registration in TSW. Well, it will be highly anticipated, so hopefully the guys from Vector Simulation will deal with it .

Why do I think like this, I think the Dutch map is a bit diet in terms of traffic and vehicles

By the way, how many users are here from the Czech Republic?

I wonder if the lighting will still be overexposed and washed out?
If it is then sadly it's just the free starter pack for me.

Also hauled passenger stock, assuming the 750’s will not just be on freight. IIRC there are numerous types of CD coaching stock, some UIC style all kind of unique and can’t just repurpose the existing German stock. So much as I look forward to this route I think DTG may have jumped the gun in their eagerness to pad out the Roadmap.

Yes, the locomotive series 750 (Brejlovec) is a reconstruction of the original series 753, it is practically a universal locomotive, however, I assume that it will only serve freight transport ... maybe even in the CD Cargo livery, but that's just speculation. Yes, specific passenger cars of the type Y (Y/B), originally manufactured in the DDR (Gorlitz/Bautzen) ..... but I don't believe that anyone will do that

There’s actually quite a lot of CD stock in Trainz, including the various “Grumpys” all of which have original, noisy, sound sets. So at the risk of repeating myself I hope the developer delivers on this and doesn’t use the muffled sounds from the modernised silenced versions. Although I haven’t visited myself, the Czech Republic (Czechia?) became something of a Mecca for UK traction enthusiasts seeking the “thrash” now long gone from our own passenger system. There’s quite a few video clips on YT taking hanging out of the front coach going to and from places like Nove Udoli and the infamous Kunova Hut.

Really looking forward to seeing my local route in-game finally for TSW6!

I’m also privileged to work onboard with a certain green TOC, so know the route & units inside out; just hope DTG have done it right!

The feature set looks alright and happy to see faults & random events added, just hope they have got the balance right in this area. Though personally, I wouldn’t market Quality of Life Improvements a feature.

So far, quite happy with the majority of what’s been announced!

    Good:
+ Leipzig - Dresden: a train simulator needs complete, non-linear routes. This is - finally - a step in the right direction.
+ 294: one of Germany's most numerous locomotives, and one to fill a much-needed gameplay niche.
+ Stuttgart - Heilbronn: It's great to see Stuttgart in game, especially in the form I witnessed as a child. This is hopefully a sign of more to come, e. g. using Stuttgart as a starting points for lines to Ulm*, Tübingen or Horb!
+ 140: An excellent and long overdue choice, as this was Germany's primary electric freight locomotive.

    Bad:
    - 294: only reused German rolling stock included in the standard edition, with the 294 tied to the Deluxe edition.
    - signal delays: its advertised effect is outweighed by natural variation in driving. In fact, it seems the least ambitious implimentation of "random events" possible!

? random events: Will there be more ambitious random events in the future, e. g. variations in AI traffic (delays at stations, variations in acceleration, etc.)
? TSW still suffers from stutters! With more demanding route choices (Leipzig, Stuttgart), will this issue be finally fixed?

    * If DTG is ambitious, completeting the line up to Augsburg will link Stuttgart and München.

I'll just add that the current Dresden - Riesa line on PS5 already suffers from texture blurring at the Dresden -Neustadt station, I'm very worried that in the future it may be an even bigger problem, because I don't really expect everything to miraculously recover with the arrival of TSW6, but maybe I'm wrong and it will be like that......

I should hope so, I mean it was a feature in BVE4 about 15 years ago. It doesn't seem incredibly difficult to implement.

Even dovetail could do it if they really wanted to:

For platform announcements: Train arrives at platform > triggers event train stopped > announcement/s play/s

For train ambiance: literally just add it in to the train audio and have a toggle to turn it off or volume change. it wouldnt work like the new content as it would be a constant noise rather than dynamic if this made it easier to implement

For train faults again, you could just update the old train files / route files, most trains already have a general fault button built into the interface.

You could farm this out to a studio if you really wanted to. You could even monetise it as an upgrade to the route / trains. £5 a train to bring the updates idk. It's nowhere near impossible it's just a case of wanting to or not.
