Why won't future routes have trophies / achievements?

I appreciate they aren't for everyone, but for a lot of us they add interest to content.

 

How accurate are sounds on class 220.

What was one thing you wanted to change on route building? More clutter trackside?

What exactly does the crowd noise on train sound like. Does it vary from train to train as some passengers are closer to cabs etc.

Who recorded announcements and who consulted on them.

 

I'm not an Epic Games user (or even PC), but why is a good chunk of the back catalogue not available on that platform? What process was used when deciding what to, and what not to include? You've said "popular add-ons were priorities", but I saw East Coastway and Birmingham Cross-City were included, but not the 313, Centro 323 and the 170 pack. Surely if a route is selected, then the loco DLCs for it should be too, to give players the best possible experience on the available routes?

Following on from that, should this debacle serve as a lesson that annual re-releases are actually really consumer unfriendly, and what processes, if any, are in place to ensure this doesn't happen on other platforms?

Will future route add-ons be released that utilise the Voyager? It would be a shame to keep a highly requested train on one route. (OK two because The British Ace said it will be on the BCC 170 timetable, which for some reason wasn't mentioned officially from what I could tell).

Cross Country services bound for Aberdeen run via the Fife Circle calling at several stations on route. Is this the reason why the Fife Circle 158 timetable has been repeatedly pushed back for seemingly no reason? If not, what is the reason? Because Skyhook said they finished it back in May, and repeatedly pushing it back for no reason looks bad on them, when they have in reality done nothing wrong.

Also with the Voyager, was the Class 221 "Super Voyager" ever considered?

In the Class 170 preview stream, Tyler said they are working on an update for Fife Circle to put the new 170 improvements back onto the Scotrail one. Will there be route improvements? If yes, has this had any effect on the Fife Circle 158 timetable? If yes, why not say something? As said, it looks bad on Skyhook, and saying something sooner might slightly help Rivets reputation too

 

Will gwr stock like 166 be updated in riviera line or is this only when the gwe remaster comes out. So will 166 and hst not have suspension etc and guard mode.

Core updates and features.
Why nothing on the Save Game? More and more content but still only one save slot. More routes where we might want to keep going via free roam on an extended tour but the loss of objective data when you load into a subsequent saved run is still broken.
Will TSR’s be properly implemented in accordance with the relevant operational standards and shown on the HUD?

South Devon route. $64k question, how much involvement have Rivet had in the route and train construction process? If they have, what steps have been taken to ensure their work is up to standard?
What sounds will we hear in the 802 cab, given the end cars are unpowered.
Why a 220 and not a 221 the latter being more common on WoE XC workings.
Will we be able to explore the Dawlish sea wall on foo?
Will there be a DLOGW2 to provide a full classic traction timetable over the route?

 

- Will Leipzig-Dresden get a full timetable for Gen 9? While the FAQ mentions Gen 9 will get the "full experience" what does that exactly mean: full experience as the complete timetable with all the additional, separate AI layers included OR just the complete, basic timetable i.e. with just all the core locos.

- How stable will TSW 6 be on Gen 9 console regarding video memory errors, blurry textures and limited timetables for console etc?

- If a major improvement regarding optimisation etc, would you consider adding more services, if not, the full timetable for Frankfurt S-Bahn at some point?

- How many more third-party devs are looking at new content (routes/locos) for TSW? Would be nice to have more routes from the non-three core countries such as Austria and the Netherlands etc.

- Are you still considering remastering/upgrading/extending more older TSW routes (updated timetables with newer rolling stock DLC and TOD 4 improvements)?

 

I have a couple of questions for the riveria line

1: Will the class 166 and HST be given a facelift for the riveria line and upcoming GWE remaster?
2: Are there any plans for Skyhook to create a GWR 158?

 

Has anyone consulted on 220 and new 802 on riviera line and gave feedback.

 

Will the ICE-T (and hopefully ICE1 and ICE3) have proper PZB display in the driving cab? Currently the 75 will not show up when in a restricted mode.
Will the Dostos be updated, or will they be the same ones that are currently in the game? From watching the Direct, to me there was a lot of emphasis on how good sounds will be, would be a shame for them to be let down by the using the current lifeless Dostos.

 

• Why on earth is Epic, being a PC platform, will be losing 50% of the DLCs going forward?
  I would like an deep-in explanation, solution or compensation.
• How do you assure that users on other platforms will not encounter this issue?
• This excludes many recent DLCs, and of those welcomed by the community. Will this list get better towards launch?
• Does Epic has hardcoded DLC limit of probably 128?
• Do you plan on to ditch Epic as a launch platform?

Despite your support portal says "Buying a ticket for one airline won't get you a seat on a different airline's flight", I would like to remind you that it is indeed not the case here; It should be "Buying a ticket from one retailer won't get you ability to see an order for it on another retailer's app", as it is ultimately Dovetail who ended up with the share of cash that players paid for.

 

-Any news/ updates/ new screenshots from GWE Remaster?
-What routes will the XC 220 layer onto?
-Fully functional GSM-R for UK trains planned?? Or only applicable for an Expert UK loco.
-Any UK expert trains planned within the next year?
- Will there be improvements given to the Class 166 and HST, layering onto Riviera Line, which are from features that cane about since TSW3 (E.G TOD4 lighting, semi functional GSM-R etc.)
- Any updates coming or will come for existing DLC’s? Including sound tweaks, bug fixes, new route features. This was something many were complaining about since TSW3: Routes literally or not ‘feeling’ completed before new versions of TSW were launched.
- How different in terms of sounds, model and features will the Class 802 be from the Azuma (Class 801). What will be new, and what will be improved on?.

 

What is the purpose of the Avanti West Coast Class 805? Because it being developed by All Aboard implies it's for their route, but that is supposedly set 2019, before it even existed.
Also, why only the 805? What about the 807?

 

Will deleting a train via the map will cause the station announcements to say "we are sorry to announce that the 09:46 Great Western Railway service to Plymouth has been cancelled"

 

Will the BR 294 layer or sub into any existing routes? Or is it just Free Roam for now (which would be quite a shame, honestly)?

Are there plans to bring the new features like announcements and passenger ambience to existing routes, or at least some of the newer ones?

Without trying to go off topic, that should ideally be utilised in their Birmingham to Crewe route, since it goes hand-in-hand with it and also coming from the same developers, instead of being a separate Add-On.

What is the reasoning behind the decision? Are there any plans to include the missing content later on?

 

TSW5 is remaining on Game Pass, does this mean TSW5 DLC will retain the 10% discount even when TSW6 is out?

Will the game not being on Game Pass affect sale opportunities?

Does the 220 have services/layer in the recent BCC timetable?

 

Will blurry textures also appear in TSW6, on the console version?

 

Q: Will station announcements function on older routes/locos or are they exclusive to TSW6 content and future dlc only?
Q: What are the layers on PTE? Will we be able to drive GWR HST’s?
Q: What improvements have been made to the weather settings/dynamic weather?

 

Further to my earlier questions:
While noting the popularity of the South Devon Line it seems a curious choice for the debut of the Class 802 when a route like Reading to Bristol TM would have allowed the train to run at full speed and on both electric and diesel traction. Please explain?

Why no Regional Editions as these will just abstract from revenue given those of us who play TSW on more than one platform might have bought one rather than the free pack for our secondary one.

Why the 10% (approx) price hike over last year?

While noting the EP's enthusiasm for the Riesa to Leipzig extension, with no new trains this is not a particularly exciting or indeed LAMPOIL innovation. Surely there were better routes that could have been picked (completely new) and the extension sold as a standard DLC.

Can we now assume the oft repeated mantra of "Route extensions are not feasible" has been laid to rest and that other popular old routes such as RSN and TVL will be considered for this treatment.

Is the Class 104 and PFR timetable overhaul now dead and buried?

Can we assume steam traction remains dead as a dodo going forward?

Nothing on the roadmap for those who like Thomas, can we confirm that was a one off PR stunt, no Isle Of Sodor route on the horizon?

How much faith can we have the Portuguese and Czech routes will actually appear, given Tadami is still no closer? You do appear to have jumped the gun in order to populate the roadmap.

 

How come the 158 wasn't added to the Riviera line they run on it

 

What were the other points on the list of player-requested features?

 

After watching yesterday's DTG Direct, these are my questions (so far) for tomorrow's TSW6 Roadmap Stream:

• Dresden-Leipzig: will this new extended route replace the current Dresden-Riesa route, or will both routes exist separately? If the new Leipzig route does replace the old Riesa route, what about one's current progress in the Riesa route? Will that transfer to the new Leipzig route?
• the price of the deluxe version is getting up there. I'm willing to pay for the 3 extra loco's, but I would like to know if it's worth it. So how many timetable services are there for each of the deluxe loco's? If it's only a handfull like with the Flixtrain I won't bother. If there are a decent amount of services for each deluxe loco (25-30), I'll happily pay the extra cost
• Temporary speed limits: I trust these will be shown on the track monitor? I know we'll be briefed before starting our run, but as we are players, we do not have detailed route knowledge, so it would be handy to see them on the track monitor
• Speaking of the track monitor: will active neutral sections be shown on the track monitor in TSW6?
• Random events: looking forward to trying these out. One niggle I have: scoring. These random events are going to make me be late. But as it is not the players fault, I trust the scoring will take this into account and not punish the player by deducting points.
• Custom weather: will it be possible in TSW6 to change the temperature in the custom weather screen?
• Last but not least..... bugs. Will bugs that have been in the game for years be fixed on TSW6 launch? I'm thinking of things like:
• Non playable/finishable services on HMA and RRO
• Red light issues on HMA
• Incorrect behavior of signals/pzb magnets on HMA
• Will MFD's finally work correctly on consoles (infamous 'driver mode' bug)

That's it for now, will add more if I think of other things.

I'm looking forward to TSW6. The new routes and features look interesting. I had only 1 dissapointment: these was no new Dutch route announced. That was something I was realy expecting.

 

Can the class 220 couple to the class 390 like it has done on tests?

Will train announcements work in scenario designer or free roam - for example, if I drive a class 220 on a German route, will it announce the German stations?

Are there any updates on when the big editor update is coming?

 

Riviera Line/Voyager question:
- Will there be any opportunities to couple two Class 220s together in timetable mode? The services to/from Penzance often couple or uncouple at Plymouth, particularly in the summer. No problem if you don't know yet as I'll ask again when we get to the preview stream!

Class 805 question:
Any details on which routes this will appear in once released? Or will it only be Birmingham to Crewe?

Core features questions:
How easy will it be to toggle on and off random events? Ideally it would be good if it appeared in the same place when setting the weather and time rather than having to dig through menus as sometimes you might forget if you've switched them off or on.

Also, am I right that there is currently no slider for the player to assign a 'chaos factor' like you can with train faults on the 101 Expert? If so, have certain probability settings been assigned to them? How realistic are they compared to what a driver might typically encounter?

Can you talk more about adjustments you have made to how players select layers on routes? Will there be more guidance on this for console players in particular when new routes get released?

How far along are you with stability/blurriness on consoles since the last TSW5 update? What can we expect on release and potentially rolling updates after release of TSW6?

 

I would also second questions about layering opportunities with the Voyager once it's in game. Fife Circle and BCC would obviously be the top ones.

 

Morristown Line questions:
- In the preview video two Arrow III units are connected to each other without a gap, which will cause a crash at the very first curve. It's because of WIP? Right?
- Is NY Penn fixed? No more overlapping platforms, poles on a tracks and run through wall?
- Have the Penn Station tunnels been updated to modern graphics standards?
- Will NYT get layers of a new rolling stock from this route?
- Will the ALP-46 and bi-level cars get a sound update?
- Wny no Comets and single-level coaches comes with ALP-45DP?
- Why is the ballast the wrong color again?

General questions:
- Has the track monitor been fixed on US freight routes?
- Has the eye adaptation overexposure in cab been fixed?
- Can we toggle off the eye adaptation feature now?
- Where is the promised in TSW4 suspension for LIRR?
- Is the dynamic weather still as crazy with a tendency to thick fog after 2 minutes of driving under clear skies?

 

Any plans for 220 layering?

 

Is there scope for a 5 car 220 being added to masquerade as a 5 car 221? I’m guessing it was out of budget to do both 220 and 221.

 

Can we couple DTG Live-account (and thus porting over progress) during early access, or does that have to wait until sept 30?

 

To be fair, one could always make the formation to make a 5 Car set by using the 220 as the base in formation designer.

 

Will we see an upgraded SCENARIO EDITOR for console users?.

 

Will the DB BR 442 in this version have LZB?

 

Why was the decision made to not put TSW6 on Xbox Game Pass?

 

Will the BR 1442 from RT layer onto Dresden-Leipzig for Dresden S-bahn services (driveable and/or AI?). And will the issues with this train be fixed? (for example the traction issues when driving a double set, and maybe the switch and derail issue with the Leipziger scenario?)

 

TSW5 was not put on Gamepass until a few months after release because of the free update. I'm assuming this will be the same.

Will the player be warned in advance about the temporary speed restrictions, as IRL?

 

Will TSW6 support the Steam Deck? (I'm guessing the answer is the same as always, but it doesn't hurt to ask )
Also, regarding the TSRs, how will in cab signalling systems such as LZB handle them?

 

Have you made any changes to the Playstation/XBOX controller layout for TSW6, namely mapping the bell and fast external camera? Considering US passenger routes rely heavily on the bell, it's been really annoying trying to find the hitbox for it in the cab, especially at night in total darkness.

 

How does removing the regional editions and reducing the number of available bundles " streamline your shopping experience " ? Seems to me less choices does precisely the opposite.

Will the new recorded sounds for the GWR Class 150 be applied to the TfW Class 150 for the Cardiff City Network route? That would be a very welcome improvement. Looking forward to getting the Class 142 in Arriva/Transition livery on the route. Any further details on it? Although out of the time frame for the new Riviera line DLC, it would have been nice to see a Class 143 in GWR livery.

 

What is the problem with epic platform. Why are routes that are working on TSW5 suddenly not working on TSW6 ?
Is there any use of continuing to buy stuff on epic.
Will it be prioritized and solved? (if at all)

 

Will the full timetable for Frankfurt S-Bahn be coming to consoles in light of recent performance improvements?

 

How much better is the performance in tsw6 compared to tsw5 on gen9?

Have gen9 players to expect some restrictions for timetable layers like for s-Bahn Frankfurt?

What year is Riviera Line set in as there looks to be a mix of years especially with Marsh Barton on the rock shelter at Parson Tunnel and also what year is the timetable set in? Another question is will Goodrington C.H.S be accessible to take train to and from?

 

Given the Epic Games nightmare, is DTG finally going to abandon releasing a whole new game every year?

I reckon you could release and market a little bundle of routes each year and still get plenty of new players without having to give yourself such a headache each year.

You have to give this some very serious consideration.

I’ve not heard anyone say what a good idea an annual release is apart from DTG and I honestly don’t believe the benefit to DTG outweighs the faff it entails. Please make TSW 6 your last annual release.
