One more question regarding Leipzig-Dresden:

- With the route being extended, how come it's still not to Dresden Airport?

 

They were confirmed to be returning in a month within TSW6 release (to all platforms except Epic Games), unbranded.

 

It will be made available for TSW6, without branding.

 

Has any progress been made on acquiring the LNWR licensing?

 

Just for clarification, in the latest roadmap article (https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tsw6-future-roadmap-august-2025.93376/#post-1032796)
In the section regarding the 420 all sorts of news are mentioned, like a new tt on Munich, the new variants and tt on Stuttgart and the AI appearance on 1984 left Rhein (some of them were known), however, Frankfurt S Bahn tt is not mentioned anywhere. I am assuming that this has not been cancelled, has it?! That would still be THE route for the 420 and my main reason to buy this add on…

Would be nice if this could quickly be confirmed during the stream.

 

With regard to the route environments. will there be any changes to the modelling of seas/ oceans to reflect tidal changes and will there be improved animations for stomy/ windy sea states. this would enhance the Dawlish area with waves splashing over the sea walls...

 

The TSW6 launch presentation was highly polished and looked great. I’m very much looking forward to the Riviera Line and all the new features.

However, as a nervous Xbox Series X player, the experience of TSW5 this year has been pretty abysmal due to blurry textures.

Bizarrely for me, only certain routes are plagued by blurry texture problems, not all. The Mildmay Line route has been the most prolific in my experience by a country mile, closely followed by the Manchester Airport route. Though recently, legacy TSW routes like London Commuter and South Eastern High Speed have started to glitch in a similar way.

Only turning off many route layers on these seems to improve things, but as a solution this seems crazy as players then miss out on full route immersion.

But then, routes like Blackpool Branches and WCML Preston Carlisle behave impeccably for me and need no adjustments to perform properly.

What assurances can you provide console players about blurry texture improvements (or ideally, eradication) in TSW6?

 

How usable will Laira depot be on the Riviera Line?

 

Release article says there will be shunting with the 08.

 

Nothing has been cancelled. The Frankfurt timetable is still the main gameplay aspect of the pack. Munich and LFR are just "simple" additions to make the train appear there. With Stuttgart we have no idea yet how it will be used timetable wise. We not even know yet if the 420 pack releases before or after Stuttgart-Heilbronn. So it's all to be discussed later. Main focus is still Frankfurt.

 

So my question is will the main trophies be different compared to tsw3 tsw4 and tsw5 which were the same. I'd like something similar to tsw2 main game trophies

 

Thanks for the confirmation! I did not really believe that it was cancelled, however, better to have this clarified. It’s not unheard of that something was dropped by simply not mentioning it any more

A full timetable with the 420
A reduced timetable with the 420

Has connecting the West Cornwall local from St Austell to Plymouth been something that has been considered as an future add on?

Personally I think this would be an great opportunity because it will connect the 'missing link' between St Austell and Plymouth and allow for a full run from Penzance to Exeter St Davids. In addition to this, the only traction missing to complete all the services would be the GWR 158 (which sort of exists already as the scotrail 158 currently) and the Night Rivera train. Adding those with the future extension would mean every irl service could be in game, which would really complete the experience. Especially considering the the newly obtained GWR license. Since this is such a popular route already in real life and on train simulator, I think this would go down quite well.

Also (you probably would've been asked this already but just in case) will the Class 221 Voyager be added in the future?

 

Latest roadmap article has answered my Class 805 question. Excited for the new WCMLS timetable but just hope it doesn't kill my PS5 - while it's a lot more stable than it used to be it can still get quite laggy at Wembley and Euston!

 

Will we get weekday and weekend timetables on Morristown, as the service count does feel a little light otherwise.

Also does Rivet have any consideration/plans to rework WCL and release an improved modern day version akin to what they did with Isle Of Wright now you’ve got the GWR license back?

 

Can't tell yet. We have to try it first. Generally a full Frankfurt timetable is planned. It is basically a copy of the original one where the 430s get replaced with 420 and 423 (they were running mixed back then). Not sure about the existing reduced timetable yet. If necessary we will provide that too. Console memory is the big elephant in the room, unfortunately, and we can't do much about it other than strip down things so that they will work. Alternative is to have nothing. I think that is not what you guys want. Better having a reduced timetable than no 420. Those are the only two options.

 

Questions about Leipzig - Dresden:
- Will the Leipzig SBahn Branch from Engelsdorf to Hbf Tief through the City Tunnel be included, like in the TSC Version?
- Will an new BR 1442 in SBahn Mitteldeutschland Livery be included, would be needed for the SBahn Services in Leipzig and the Rapid Transit one is a bit old by now.
- Any chance that we ever see the Dresden Airport Branch in full greatness?
- Any Plans for the IC2 as a possible DLC for this Route?
- Will Leipzig Hbf have the "Museum Track" Track 24 with the historic Trains like BR 52, Flying Hamburger,...
- Will the included Trains all have the newest Features like Suspension and Train Faults?

Other Questions:
- Any Chance for a GWR Steam Railtour Pack for the Riviera Line and West Somerset?
- Will Stuttgart - Heilbronn include the full underground SBahn Loop?

 

Are we getting any dutch routes in tsw6? Are there any planned? Cause it sold well and me and the community loved it and the quality was and still is Soooo good :P so are there any planned later this year or end tsw6?

After reading today’s (28th Aug) article:
- How will the Class 350 and 805 from All Aboard Studios be different from DTG’s (Using Class 801 as a comparison from the Class 805)? Anything new from scratch? Anything which has the same feature as DTG’s version of the respective trains but improved?
- Any pictures of the Class 805?
- Will the Class 350/2 and/3 from AABS be layered onto WCML South if the former two are owned?
- What are the technical differences between the sub-class variants between the Class 350 which will be implemented?
- What playable/ AI layers will be available on Crewe to Birmingham?
- When GWE Remaster is released, will the Class 166 and Class 43 layered onto Riviera Line receive any changes or will this already be implemented, which are in line with recent TSW standards(TOD4 lighting, new core features implemented on the aforementioned layers from GWE)?
- Will there be any new sounds for the Class 43 for GWE Remaster and the Farewell pack
- What ECS moves will the Class 802 bring onto GWE Remaster.
- Will the lighting issue for the Class 166 and HST from GWE, whereby the saloon lighting has to be manually turned on at the start of every journey and switches off when master key is removed, be rectified?

 

There have been optimisations to make it run better in Consoles since though, and more coming with TSW 6?

 

- will the BR294 have authentic sounds? Will also the oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges be fuctioning? will it layer to other routes?

-will the preserved collection get all the new core updates (Platform & Train Announcements , Passenger Ambience, Random Train Faults) in the future?

 

That's not a question for me. I am just throwing a 'fat" train into the game with the hope it works somehow. The 420 is quite memory consuming. We could substantially reduce the footprint but then the train would look low quality. Nothing i want.

 

One for DTG to answer then? Would really love to see a full timetable for that route with and/or without the 420.

 

I know I've said this on other threads already, but DTG, please, can you offer a solution for the Epic DLC fiasco? It's clear that most, if not all of us Epic players who especially have a lot of money invested into the game (120+ DLC in my case) is very upset about this, we're talking about a thousand dollars/pounds worth of DLC that we can't use in a future game, and using it in a older game is just not a feasible solution because of layering and updates to those routes potentially.

Do something about it, can you please tell us how you're working with Epic at the moment to resolve this, and can you tell us what steps you're taking to not make the Epic player base lose trust in your company, and offer a path to a solution?

 

Let me make myself clear; we are upset, and you will likely lose me as a customer if this is what is going to happen, Epic or DTG, can one of you parties' work with each other to do something? This is serious.

 

Now that tsw6 has been announced will start to get some updates for routes that need them. Or have we got wait another month or longer for them to receive updates.

 

DTG has never build a class 805 for Avanti.....

Will action point accrual be affected by delays and by how long faults take to fix.

Will locomotive headlights be on par with Jointedrail's Flares? The headlights need a major overhaul, especially for US locomotives and even German locomotives.

 

Will there ever be cross-route timetables? The route-hopping feature is nice, but currently makes little sense since train service cannot be continued.

 

Would you consider adding people to the beach at Dawlish and the sea wall to make that area seem more alive? I just noticed the empty beach looked a bit odd but I appreciate it is still WIP
