i wanna know about these features that keep getting added every year that only to that version of tsw. so this year there going new core mechanics like Random Events (e.g., signal delays, speed restrictions) and Train Faults (e.g., failed wipers, lights), alongside Platform & Train Announcements for increased immersion. last year tsw 5 had track shadow and conductor mode and route hopping and other stuff. features for tsw6 will be added to routes going forwere in tsw6. once tsw7 hit all there features will be abandoned and new set of features will replace. i think it time to look at building new simulator or a way that you can apply these feature in future tsws. people being asking for Platform & Train Announcements for so so long. they finally have it but once tsw7 come next year it be thing in the past or people will ask if it be adding to tsw7 and if anything voice license would expire or something and can't be added to game and a lot of people would be mad.

Who said they’d be abandoned? Most if not all features have persisted throughout the various titles. ToD4, new scoring, track monitor, suspension, free roam etc. There are few features that haven’t made it to every route & those were features introduced on a route basis rather than a new game. I don’t really get your logic in asking for a new game for that hypothetical situation either. You’re not happy at the prospect of losing free features, but would sacrifice your paid content & move to a new DTG sim?
track shadows were apply to few routes mind you that alot of work to apply on other routes. i think cn oakville sub still had tod 2 but once again that alot of work to do for route. and Platform & Train Announcements well i donno if there going to apply it to older routes i don't think they will. would be nice to have system that can apply these feature going forwarded like click of button or something.
The features do go forwards, they just don’t go backwards (outside of rare circumstances). Anything new that releases gets the latest features.
