I'm honestly surprised this hasn't been done yet, but I would deeply, deeply love seeing some representation of some of the busiest parts of the Northeast Corridor - the segment from Grand Central through New Haven! With Metro-North, Connecticut Department of Transportation and Amtrak all using the same line, this would be a very fun and more challenging routing through all of the various services. Much of the rolling stock would be already existing with Amtrak, and Metro-North using Kawasaki M8 trains, an iteration of the M7s - this should be an easy addition. Shore Line East is the service from New Haven to New London, Connecticut - giving a very beautiful scenic view of the central/eastern portion of CT via the Northeast Corridor. Similarly, the M8 and Amtrak combo are seen here as well, though the SLE uses smaller consists of the cars. Historically CTDOT also operated Diesel trains through here, and on occasion still does when the M8 trains are unavailable, using GP40-2H/GE P40DC locos and Mafersa passenger cars. I think this would be an excellent move for Dovetail, it'd allow options for additional expansions of service in stages (Grand Central-New Haven, New Haven-New London, potentially New Haven-Springfield via the Hartford Line as well) and all of these use the same, or very similar collections of rolling stock. I know historically there was a Grand Central to New Haven route in TSC, that only makes me more shocked we haven't seen this remade for TSW. Dovetail - get on this! So much of this already has the rolling stock you'd use done, or only needing an iteration to get there!
I hope they would add the Budd M2/M4/M6 on this New Haven Line for Train Sim World, and the Siemens SC-42DM with Shoreliners coaches and Cab Cars.
I mean, I really don’t understand why Dovetail Games doesn’t want to make long routes like this one to New Haven on the New Haven Line. We already have a long route in Train Sim World which is one of the German Routes. I don’t get it why DTG dosen’t want to make a long US route. DTG is being lazy instead of working hard. Sorry man.
The red Budds have been long-gone for some time now. They would have to back-date the route to reflect their operations. There are only two Chargers testing on property right now, and have been isolated to the Hudson Line.
