LucaZone Note there are missing door sounds (alarms) for the ScotRail class 158. I don't mean to be rude but may I ask why? It's a common sound with dmu's across the UK so I don't see why it would be hard to source. I get that it was mostly visual things you were working on with the ScotRail Class 158 (love the PIS btw, send my thanks to the Devs) but there is a couple of audio things missing that I feel could be included instead of recycled. Will be going on a trip of a ScotRail 158 soon and will let you know various sounds that could be good to source for this DLC. This is a small criticism but more of a request and it is meant with the upmost regards and respect for your team. Please get back to me and let me know if this would be possible. (I am writing this after watching the latest video showcasing the ScotRail Class 158 btw.) Have a good evening, From Nathan.
Wich one are missing? Ive checked and they are there.... Or can you be a little be more specific where its missing... Here i hear a lot of the doors
This is what I'm talking about: And for closing https://youtube.com/shorts/wGY-hi8PM2s?si=o3fh0kCHwh97FjiA It's a northern 158 but the ScotRail ones have the same door sounds.
That is just recycled from the MML 158. It should be a different sound from that and as said there should be one for opening too.
Ah yeah thats right but there is a licence issue there maybe..... Its like the same on DB trains the Roadrunner thats under licence. Or they didn't have real sounds. Scotrail has not a good reputation to let them records sounds.
They used to be great and very cooperative with it. (For example with the 314) It's just we don't have enough spare locos at the depot to record. Most of them are out running services. Others are being used for training, cleaning or maintenance. It's rare to get a train just stabled in broad daylight. But I'm sure for something like that sounds could be sourced from other sources.
Thanks for the heads up. Its not possible to make any further changes before release, but I've noted it for a possible post release improvement. Cheers
The only known instance of ScotRail not doing anything to assist a recording is Rivet's promised 385 trip - which hasn't happened, probably because ScotRail very rarely have many trains out of use to record - so, again, Rivet. The 170, 314, 380 and, besides the doors, seemingly the 158, are all good or fantastic sound-wise. A bit harsh to blame ScotRail!
Hopefully they just held it back to add the Voyager to it, but the pessimistic side of me is slightly concerned that they're trying to silently sweep it under the rug
You have to wonder how messed up the base TT is for it to be so delayed. Surely Skyhook could have just made an entirely new TT by now? In any case they also stated having issues with the Nuclear CL pack. I wonder if the issue is within Skyhook rather than Rivet, as previously stated.
It was last stated they were waiting for a update/release slot? Seems like it's taking an abysmal amount of time for just that
If it doesn’t come in the first few weeks after TSW6 I’d stop waiting at that point, I love the Fife Circle line but it really needs the new timetable.
It would be nice if DTG and/or the developers would give updates, presumably they can see it being spoken about. Both the FCLclass 158 timetable and the Peak Forest class 104 seemed to have been forgotten about, if they have been shelved just tell us! I only purchased PFR because we were told a diesel pack was coming, I only purchased the Scotrail 158 as it was to be layered into the FCL, I purchased SOS as I thought it would be developed further and garner new DLC. However, against my better judgement I have reinstalled TSW after nine months as I like much of the new content.
I believe it has already been mentioned on these forums that the 104 isn't in "active development". As for the FCL 158 well that's all in the hands of DTG and bet they want to get TSW 6 out of the door first. The same reason why initially cargo line 5 got side-lined (and some issues with the cl 20).
Ah, okay, I haven't been very active on the forums over the last few months so likely have missed it. I would have thought the FCL class 158 would have been on the roadmap at least though.
