I was getting a bit overwealmed by all the buildings i needed to make at the west side of the line so i moed to the far east of the line to work on the more natural regions.

I hope DTG can offer something in the way of support! Really would love to see this route! Loving the detail and all of the work you're putting in!

Have just about completed the first scenic pass of the route between Abergynolwyn and Nant Gwernol.

 

Not much to report, still waiting to hear back from Dovetail to see if i can get a bit of help with the steam locos, until then some more scenics from the routes landscaping

 

It might be worth dropping Matt a DM directly via the forums. I'm sure he'd be enthusiastic about the project! Scenery is looking fantastic so far

 

DM Matt won't change anything he as to wait for the 3rd party team to respond back Matt isn't in charge of the 3rd party program

 

Pretty much just a waiting game, i have stuff to get on with for now, like getting Trecwyn and St Cadfan working. And when im not in the mood for those theres always more scenics.
I've extended the track side scenics down to Brynglas, however the North side of the valley still needs to be detailed, the thing is because this railway has views accross the valley it all needs detailing to some extent.
Roads still need adding but that requires me to be in the right mood to learn how to create road splines, and some fence splines too while im at it.

 

It looks terrific, I do hope you get whatever help you need to get it to a state you're happy with. Having done a bit of route building in TSC, I keep mulling over whether to start, but it seems like hard work. But then I see threads like this and think "maybe"..... Good luck with it and look forward to further updates

 

The hardest part so far has been getting the route selectable in game, TBH im not sure how i managed to do it, i tried documenting the process but the people who tried to replicate wern't able too.

Honestly though im finding the route building to be quite enjoyable, i can sink hours into decorating, painting and adding the folliage.

Terrific! Must be great seeing things you built come to life in your own route, keep up the good work

Yes, its all TSW, and theres no way to test it yet as i havent got any of the locomotives working, and none of the current locomotives are compatible with the route.

The GWR Panier Is a mod being made by another user on the forums.

Don't you think it's a bit cheeky of you to ask for a link to the track?

If the builder of this track and locomotives wants to have his track tested, he will certainly choose the people who are allowed to test it.
And secondly, this track is not even finished yet; you can see that he is still working on the track and other things.

I borrowed the caravan asset from the West Somerset route, and started work on the caravan park at Rhydyronen

its a good start, now you just need some children hanging off the farmers gate in the lower caravan field. we'd always wave from there.

This looks so good! I went to the Talyllyn last year and I can tell you know what you're doing. The valley looks exactly how I remeber it. Keep up the good work!

 

Sorry if this is off topic - the route is looking great btw!
I am just wondering if you managed to load into the route in game or only in the editor? I have my route appearing on the list in game but when I spawn in none of my scenery or landscape texture is in.

I know this was a few months ago, but do you recall what was making your loco float above the ground? As you can see, my subway car is doing the same thing. At least it's parallel to the rails now

 

It probably hasnt been positioned correctly, in your model editor when you export it your wheels treads need to be at 0 height

 

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to be the problem in this case. Maybe I haven't filled out the physics asset correctly? Anyway, thanks again for the suggestion, and best of luck with Tallylyn!
