They improve features all the time, just not the important stuff (core issues). They make them worse.

If it’s a problem we turn them off.
I’d like to think proper optimisation has been considered during the development period of these new features though.

Still don't understand why this couldn't be an update to Train Sim World 5.

Yes, it's free, but for people with slow internet, it could take days to redownload every DLC they have.

Train Simulator Classic did it for years so I do not understand why TSW cannot do the same.

The fact that they've partially walked back the TSR implementation and the complete muffling of platform announcements within a week of showcasing them doesn't augur well for the new feature set.

I'm planning on the Standard Version plus the ALP45DP, but a lot will depend on the preview streams.

The article is speaking about, that we can "see freight" at Morristown Line. Does this mean, that there is no playable freight stuff there?

It seems to refer to AI freight only, though, to tell you the truth, I'm not sure that you would normally see much if any freight on this line in real life. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

i also don't really know as well since i don't ride the NJ Transit even going to Hoboken terminal, maybe some youtube video will probably show it. I just care more about the city vibes, atmospher and the citi skyline. Will DTG be able to deliver this finally and make it the first US to have what we wanted.

There is a big Intermodal Yard in the east of secacus and the route has some smaller sidings too.

Thanks, I'll be looking out for those sidings to see if they're populated. Some AI CSX or NS stock?

On a different subject, JD said they had "put a lick of paint" on some of the existing features. I guess we'll have to keep our eyes peeled to spot those improvements.

The random events certainly sound like a step in the right direction. I’m skeptical as well though. I will refrain from judging it either way until I see it in action.

Some things will not work as they should, I’m sure. For example, I doubt we will get a valid La for German routes, which would be absolutely necessary for TSRs in Germany.

Still, it could add a lot depending on implementation and how well it works.

And what are those? A repaint of all the stations including the terminal and penn station?

" A lick of paint " is a metaphor for " refresh ". Nothing to do with painting.

Will platform announcements include services that are not in the game e.g. at Plymouth, will we hear services to Penzance/Gunnislake etc announced?

I doubt there'd be announcements for trains that aren't there. AI only services probably get announcements though
