French railways are still almost absent in TSW, and many players would love to see more diversity! Here are some realistic suggestions: TGV Sud-Est : Lyon – Avignon (120 km / 75 mi) – Iconic high-speed line with classic TGV Sud-Est sets. TER Marseille – Toulon (65 km / 40 mi) – Beautiful coastal scenery with AGC B81500, Régiolis B83500, and some Corail + BB 22200 trains. Transilien J : Paris Saint-Lazare – Mantes-la-Jolie via Poissy (50 km / 31 mi) – Frequent suburban services with Z 50000 "Francilien". Why France? A mix of high-speed, regional and suburban services, plus iconic trains railfans would love to see in TSW!
Driving the LGV Med to build up the Sept Mastery mileage, I’m still struck by how nice and atmospheric - typically Gallic if you like - Marseille and the immediate area look. Would be nice to get a classic SNCF route rather than more high speed. Well at least we know Matt has debunked the as it turned out unfounded rumour SNCF are refusing licences or access for their content in TSW, remains a question of DTG being convinced another French route is viable.
Need. France is a beautiful country with so many scenic railway routes. I'd personally favour a busy but rural/rustic route rather than a TGV one. I'd love Toulouse to Limoges.
