With the much-anticipated Leipzig-Dresden route coming to TSW 6, it feels appropriate that a more long-distance loco DLC would be ideal: enter the IC2 DB BR 147 and Twindexx Vario. All pictures taken by me IC2 DB BR 147 and Twindexx Vario, respectively (note the DB BR 101 in the top image) While in reality the loco-hauled IC2 services are also complemented by the ubiquitous 146 too, having the 147 would be much better as a completely new loco offering a different experience. However, let's not forget the existence of the DB BR 187 already for TSW, which is in need of major improvement! So, if the 147 came, I'd really want to see the 187 finally updated up to par too. Of course, with the inclusion of the 147 to TSW, it could be utilised elsewhere for different types of services such as regional and thus would feature in standard traffic red livery. With the introduction of the DB BR 147 for IC2, then it's only logical to have the loco used elsewhere for regional services etc in traffic red livery etc Meanwhile, regarding the Twindexx Vario, this would provide a much-needed freshness when it comes to modern German routes considering the long lack of variety when it comes to dostos in general. My guess is they are already making an IC2. If the current demand for this loco isnt enough then i dont know what else they want to see to make this a reasonable project. As you have said, DTG could reuse so many things from it. The HIGH entry dostos (yes DTG, they exist), the cab car and finally a driveable 147. While i would love a 147, i expect it to be a 146.5 because of DTG being DTG. Fingers crossed for a season of reveals reveal.
Speaking of high demand, one of the most suggested routes is Cologne-Frankfurt, and it's still not in the game since it has been requested since TSW2020. But I would definetly love to see the IC2 in TSW
I think most of the highly requested stuff is already on DTGs list. For example they acknowledged the ICE 4 being on their radar last RM stream. What i meant is that the IC 2 is a major topic at the moment because of DLGs rolling stock situation and i would be suprised if they would have only been to germany for more ICE T sounds. To record new sounds for a one year old loco is a bit unusual and it would make sense since any type of IC 2 is likely to be at the same depot as a 411, especially near Leipzig. The loco (cab car too i think) do have LZB and yes its 160 kph vmax. I do believe the 146.5 does have ETCS too but this wouldnt be working in TSW anyways.
