Hey there! So I've cloned existing scenario and and the train used on the scenario, I would like to replace the train used with another one. I am very new at editing scenarios at a basic level. Is it pretty straight forward? So for example, on the scenario I am trying to edit, it is using a class 90 and I want to replace that with a HST. Cheers
Install LocoSwap - it allows you to change what you don't have for something else https://github.com/flicard/LocoSwap/releases/tag/v1.2.0.0 Manual - https://www.scribd.com/document/706302432/LocoSwap-manual Thanks OldAlaskaGuy for the links in another thread You can do it in the scenario but if you are new to the game try this method
Loco Swap is great for changing like for like or substituting missing stock but if you want to change a whole trainset like a class 90 hauling coaches to a HST it might be better to do it in the editor itself, EWO on steam created a nice guide to explain the process. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=380001963
Hey, yeah just using Locoswap now, yeah its really easy to replace as you say stock which is missing and replace it with your favourite stock etc... Cheers everyone, loco swap is a life saver!!
You will note that the scenarios that have been changed have LoSw in the name by default. You can change this to anything you want.I use modified.
I use LocoSwap quite often. Personally I would advise to only change out something for something similar. Swap a loco/consist for something that is much slower/faster and/or much shorter/longer than the "original" can cause weird behavior or even completely break a scenario.
