How ya doin'? Our New York & Hoboken - Dover stream will be live on Wednesday 17th September! We'd like to give you plenty of time to ask any questions before the stream, so please do so here. Please keep all questions related to the Morristown Route, and keep all discussions on the separate TSW6 roadmap thread. We will also be having a preview stream of the Riviera Line the week after this. Any questions asked about Riviera here will not be answered until that stream and there will be separate Q+A threads for it, so I'd recommend holding any questions until those threads are live to avoid your question being missed. Finally, be sure to take a look at our FAQ section! You might find the answer you're looking for before the stream even starts!
Will this route and the core be demonstrated in a more complete and professional state than seems to have been the case with Dresden to Leipzig? How far off is this content from being complete or will it be launching with updates to follow (maybe). Are the traction sounds sourced from the real thing or are we getting the TSC Class 455 sounds recycled yet again? Along with MN and LIRR another New York route which skirts around what people really want and would light your LAMPOIL white hot for sales - the New York Subway! Yes we know there are permissions and access issues but please assure us you keep digging away at MTA as it didn't discourage TML from their WOS4 or the various representations in BVE and Trainz. Finally, would someone please have the decency to answer once and for all the question, will TSW6 be offering more than the current single save game slot? Who do we have to buy a pint for to actually get an answer on this point?
Hi Dal, Link is embedded into the purple text that says New York & Hoboken - Dover, but I'll add an underline for clarity.
Can you show screen mode working on the console version, or clarify that it now works as it should? Also, this needs pinning I think.
This is from the TSW6 FaQ PS4/Xbox One - No additional AI service layers will appear in the schedule for these platforms. All ALP-46 services have been removed. The ALP-46 will still be available to play in Scenarios. Xbox Series S – You will get the full experience PS5, Xbox Series X and PC - You will get the full experience
How much of the route between Kearny and Penn Station has been reworked, and has any changes been made to Penn Station itself?
Have the signalling and safety system issues that plague NEC Trenton been resolved? Boston-Worcester was wayyy better, so i'm hopeful, but this would also impact the upcoming NY-Stamford section of the NEC, so it would be great to have official confirmation. If so, less of a question than a plea to give Trenton one more signalling/timetable pass (and pretty please add layers from the new route)!!! Otherwise i'm hyped for the route and looking forward to the stream next week!
Poor PS4 Players... If you buy the Deluxe version you get a few scenarios only for ALP-46.... I dunno why they support Gen8 now.....
i read that and lezipg was the same at the start but on that route we only get one train so i wondered if its the same here
Since services from my knowledge are pretty long, will you split up some services like on the metrolink routes?
Can't wait!!! Arrow III (or similar vintage American EMU) has been on my wishlist for a long time- very cool stuff!
Not a question but, considering who worked on the signaling and timetable, I'm expecting to be suitably impressed by this route.
Ironically this route could turn out to be the sleeper hit of the three, particularly if the EMU sounds are good.
Can we have a look at all the services we will get with the route? Matt showcased this on the LIRR commuter (but not for Leipzig Dresden), so it'd be nice to see it done here.
I did the signaling and will be on the stream next Wednesday. We have some excellent source materials so I was pretty much able to recreate the signal system exactly as it performs in real life. Not often do I have such detailed source documents, but when I do, I put them to proper use. There's a clear distinction in duties between signals and safety systems. I had nothing to do with safety systems, only the actual signal system.
Could this possibly become the best US route ever?! The route itself is stunning in real life, and although I'm not a huge US fan, I'm definitely curious now, Brandon. Thanks for all the hard work what you build is always fantastic. I'm really looking forward to the stream this coming Wednesday!
Yes we will go over in details all the services that are included with the route, with deluxe and with layers
Will we see freight on the underpass after the North River Tunnel Portal and elsewhere where applicable?
You have to remember that this is a commuter line. Any freight will be incidental, sporadic and mostly in yards I would imagine.
I’ve been asking a lot about the way the Arrow 3 cars looks so close to each other than in real life. Has that been fixed to look exactly in real life Arrow 3 with the cars with the black barriers with passenger go through the cars
Will the electrification be correct? New York - Trenton for example is 12kV in real life, but set to 25kV in-game Will there be working neutral sections?
Why no Comets? IRL there is mostly singl-level cars. Will you fix the Penn Station? Any sound improvements for the ALP-46 and cabcar? Does ALP-46 no raindrops fixed? Will ALP-45DP get some instruction to switch power mode during timetable services? Some notes about layers for NYT. I still think that Arrow III has wrong color. IRL they are more bronze than silver.
