Hello everyone, I would to ask DTG and have the opinion from users if you think there is a way to implement the really genius sound mod of the br423 (for cologne Aachen, Munich, Frankfurt fulda and s bahn) for the whole game? im playing on ps5 and the sound really is terrible and unrealistic not to be rude. it would be possible it think because frankfurt s bahn is a very new route. this would really have an impact, because the sound is used on many routes! there is a sound mod (which i cant use du to PS5 unfortunately) for br423 which sounds perfect! why not talk with the creator to use it for the whole game? I genuinely think that if you have a talk with the creator, it might be possible to change the sound for the whole game for the sake of the players. because the sound for the br423 has nothing to do with the real life. the br422 sound is even worse. is there a god mod? which can maybe be also implemented? its a pain in the ears (br 422) with headphones because the background noise of this sound is just so bad and loud (and has nothing to do with the reality). the br422 has also many routes it would be so great to have a new sound. and because i live in the area I would actually volunteer myself to record sounds for you for free for the br422 if necessary. i would really do that because the sound is really terrible but i really like the 422. for both, 422 and 423, it would elevate the game very very much with realistic sound! what's your opinion and DTG is it possible for you to at least try to talk with the modder?
I believe there are at least two different versions of 423 in reality, with very different sounds and electrical equipment. So maybe in-game 423 in not that wrong, just the other version.
The version we’re missing has IGBT inverters, we currently have the version with GTO inverters (which still technically sound wrong)
that is not possible for multiple reasons, among others because sounds I used are sourced from other people which would make it complicated to add it to the game itself, but I am also not really interested in that anyway. that's a bit funny; Frankfurt only has IGBT 423s, which means the sounds are infact wrong entirely. that's kinda what I made the soundmod for anyway, to fix exactly that.
Not meant offending but why are you not interested in helping the players? cause the br423 is really trash imo without good sound, sound is soooo important. I mean you don't earn money with your mod or am I missing something? so if its like a community project it would be important and great to make it accessible for everyone. there are many many console players, like me, who cant use mods. and honestly its really important for some players actually if you are open to that I can go record some sounds I won't have a problem giving that to you and then to DTG. its really about the players for me. and I mean if no one from the people who record the stuff earn money, then I think probably no one has a problem making the sound a tsw standard, even the opposite I would be proud contributing a sound for a known and passionate game and helping the community. I made an inquiry to DTG and they said it its possible that they talk to models and use the sounds, its a possibility for them. So the opportunity is there, please please for the players sake make it happen ❤️ if I can help by any means hit me up my guy✌

I am not interested in putting effort into contacting Dovetail to make a change to two or four products related to a train's audio they could've very well adjusted themselves with effort. Not worth my time trying either. That is against the End User License Agreement. Consoles and their playerbase have often in history received the short end of the stick, and will keep doing so up until our solar system's star burns out. The very first decision you any many other should've made is investing in a PC. Desktop, Laptop, it does not matter, the right path is what matters. DTG's content is distributed commercially and it would pose an issue if they earn from our effort, just like that atleast. I do not know details about how all of that works and I do not want to risk stating something wrong.
Alright so you are not interested contacting DTG which I totally understand and which is fine! That’s why we as the community (not you or course who has done the work) have to do pressure on DTG to contact you and make it as easy as possible. And honestly if they don’t contact you for such and important train which is on many routes and has terrible audio, than it’s says a lot for what DTG stands for to the interest of the players. We’ll se if they do so. I hope something positive comes out for the whole community! and because of the PC, youre right that the PC is better but honestly I’m a Student I don’t have money for this. I have the PS5 since a long time and I honestly like it much more for playing with Friends, on TV with a controller and having exclusive games like Spiderman (at least it was). But yeah money is the bigger issue as a student and if someone is against it from the recorders I’m willing to record everything you need again because the BR423 is really unplayable with the current sound. But it’s a pretty nice train which many players do love, but the console players which are many can’t get in the enjoyment of your high end sound. TSW should be more for the players and if we have the opportunity to enhance the game for many players, especially for the BR423 that is used in many routes and timetables, I think we should use that opportunity then. As I heard dovetail isn’t aversed to it. let me know if for case recordings are needed have a great one and thank you for your incredible work
