    Yeah, that achievement never sat well with me. It promotes overspeeding while also making a function on the unit unrealistic... Anyway, the achievement is no longer in place, so there isn't really a reason for DTG to not correct the speed limiter in TSW5.

    Some feedback concerning the ECML and the MML class 43.

    Photo mode/ Poor Layers.
    (This is something I’ve encountered on the WCML Preston to Carlisle. (A Route that seemed okay until purchasing the class 86)
    A similar situation of seeing through models.

    The following photos, taken on the ECML, with a MML 43.

    No matter how close or how far from object it will remain as seen.

    Also I’ve experienced a lot of crashes on loading into time table mode. Be with in game stock or LD vehicles it will not load in to certain routes. I do have that information somewhere and only for the routes I’ve come across. How many are affected I’m not sure unless I did a full test on each route.

    With TSW6 coming along soon I’m not sure how important this or the crash issue are.
    The information is there and again evidently something deeper is not right with TSW5.

    So did the 43 work ok before you purchased the 86/2 and what system are you on?

    I can’t say with any certainty as first time using ECML with a Class 43, but I have noticed a massive drop in graphics AFTER I bought the 86 add on and after the last update. The whole quality of layers on in game models at times drops off like what I’ve shared.
    Mostly in photo mode. The layers will clear up tho if I restart from the menu. Yet in photo mode mostly on the Preston Carlisle route do I get really bad texture and will remain like that even after a menu restart.

    I’ve given up to be honest with you because I feel DTG pushed the boat out with TSW5 so have encountered more issues now than after release. I think they know this, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they cant wait to see the back of TSW5.

    Have you encountered the same or similar issue?,,oh and I’m on PS5.

    Just thinking on tho and not sure if this helps anyone in the same boat.
    I know the game is struggling in performance so to help this DTG added a new feature in the settings menu where you can turn on Ai liveries, etc.
    DLC content that works or is combined can be tuned on or off and so can formations.
    I think I had my liveries set to ON. On means the game will struggle with layers. Off means it runs a lot better.
    Yet this can’t be the case here for like I mentioned in the first post is, I’m currently working on TSW4 which doesn’t have that new Ai or UGI feature like TSW5 does.

    Thanks for a response. I do intend to contact Customer Support.

    Unfortunately I tend to hang back as it can be a stressful situation, yet fully understand how bug issues etc are handled then processed.
    Therefore I see that Customer Support is the best option, but like I say I hang back due to one or two personal reasons.

    Correction on the route Issues. It’s NOT the ECML I’m referring to it’s the WCML south.

    I’ve been raising an issue with ECML for about a year or so now. It’s impossible to spawn the Class 170 or Class 387 without getting an error message about memory/doesn’t fit with scenario. What’s really odd is that every so often you can spawn them, then they disappear again. Any chance of this finally getting fixed?

    I've definitely spawned both of those trains in on ECML before, here's a picture of three 170s I spawned in at Doncaster;

    Are you console or PC? Don’t have the XC/LMR 170s but the Scotrail version definitely doesn’t spawn on PS5.

    Why is it the 5 car variant dont do full length runs. And the ones they do don't stop anywhere.

    Because they're mostly representing Hull Trains, Grand Central or Lumo.

    Lumo doesn't stop between Stevenage and Newcastle.

    Grand Central Bradford services are non-stop between London and Doncaster, Sunderland services are non-stop between London and York. I think one Grand Central Bradford service stops at Peterborough and Doncaster.

    Hull Trains don't stop at Newark Northgate and run non-stop to London from Grantham.

    Think I just found another route that is minus mileposts. Well there are a few randomly scattered here and there but not every 1/4 mile/20 chains as they should be to display the full mile. 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 intervals.

    Another route built by Rivet on a sub contract, perchance?

    Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but the AI 323s at Doncaster are supposed to be for Leeds, not Outwood

    Is there any way the 801 can have a working signal bell for the guard button? The 802 and 805 have both working. It's probably already mentioned somewhere, but I thought it would be nice to bring it up again.

    If you drive forward very but dont spad then it will finish.

    Incidentally what services are these to resemble,

    - Northern Rail - Sheffield - Hull / Bridlington / Scarborough

    - East Midlands Railway - Doncaster - Peterborough though uncertain whether really booked as class 170s or 158s. 2026 timetable Doncaster - Lincoln Central only Lincoln Central - Peterborough seperate service. Source EMR May 2026 changes.

    - CrossCountry - substitute for class 220/221 direct services from Sheffield calling at Doncaster then onwards to York for continuation of service minus Leeds. Or vice versa, fairly limited.

    Since this thread just got randomly bumped... we now know this is due to the memory limit/mounting issue on consoles, same as missing layers. Timetables that are beefy enough and have enough layers can't fit any more content being mounted and so it throws up that error because it's in some way the default error to show up. Before I moved to PC I remember a similar thing happening where I couldn't load the WCMLoS content so couldn't do a run with the 87 on the ECML, but then when the Cargo Line Vol. 3 timetable was released because it switched layers around I was able to load the 87 in on that.
    Regardless, they're still working on it. No news recently but it was pretty thoroughly addressed.

    They aren't meant to resemble anything. I just spawned them in to show that 170s can be spawned on the route. The EMR services at Doncaster irl are booked as two car 170s (at least that what they usually are), but in game the 158 shows up instead due to lack of an East Midlands 170

    So just a full length run stopping at all stations. And I had train announcements at every other stop. I thought there was none on this route. dtg_jan did you say in another post there where no announcements on this route.
