I like to sit back and play with just my mouse. With TSC this is possible because you can switch views easily between head-out, in cab, overhead, map, etc.. just using the mouse and ONE click.

It boggles my mind that DTG hasnt added such a simple feature. Its also mind boggling that a 3rd party modder hasnt created one.

It literally ruins my experience and is one of the reasons I cannot stop putting more time in TSC.

TSW has much more freedom with its camera angles, TSC is terrible and clunky. I can only ever drive in the cab only on TSC, TSW I can freely move the camera and look around the train with ease.

Not to mention lack of opening doors and windows in TSC. Before it fudged up and I uninstalled it (TSC) again, I was driving the DB BR189 on the Konstanz to Villingen route. Nice loco, the Virtual Railroads one I believe, but you can't do a thing with any of the doors and windows. With TSW, I can stand up, open the doors, open the windows, no problem.

There is one on PC. It used to be available with a controller, but they removed that with TSW2 IIRC.
Virtual Railroads locos are pretty consistent with their cab cameras not having much movement. Other trains are much better, and quite a few trains do allow you to open windows and/or doors. Again VR don't offer this a lot of the time.

That said I would love the TSW moveable boom camera in TS.

You should try playing with a gamepad. One click on the stick and you have a free camera mode outside the cockpit. Click another button and you look at the map. I don't even know how to play with a keyboard and mouse, it's too inconvenient. Oh yeah, to The only convenient thing about the keyboard is that it is easy to turn on the safety systems without getting up from the seat.

You are supposed to be controlling the locomotive Vern. Not standing up and fiddling with the doors and windows. :D ;)

I don’t think they removed probably just forgot to add in the later games.

It wasn’t a part of the immersive control scheme introduced with TSW2. Actually quite a few features were removed with that control scheme, like the very useful cursor mode and the door control selector.

It can be hit or miss depending on the station you’re at.
