the juddering with the levers is something that I have experience with the raildriver device. I'm not sure if the issue but in can tell you is I'm still having issues with the juddering on all routes so might be my raildriver is just defective. i tried doing some mods and didn't help much

 

Must admit I don't have this juddering issue.

But it got me thinking. The recent Class 170 update to BCC still has Raildriver compatibility issues. I trust that the new core routes, including the Morristown locos and emu, will be fully RD compatible.

 

let me try to get you an official answer about Morristown locos and Arrow 3. If not, I will mention it on the stream.

 

Thats what i am looking for on the stream, as well as how much city vibes, ambients, atmosphere in general feel.

Will we be able to explore the Hoboken Terminal and the New York Penn Station Terminal exactly as how it is portray in real life?

How much changes are we going to see for the Penn station? cause the one in New york Penn to Trenton terminal was so outdated.

Lastly will the city skyline be close to it representing in the real world? How much nyc city vibes, ambient and atmosphere feeling will see in game. I was not happy with the city skyline and the atmosphere of the route on the New York Penn- Trenton, it really make the route so blend and not having any feeling of city vibes. I really do hope this will be the first time that we do finally get to feel the real city vibes in this route, exactly as hows it portray in the real world.

 

IIRC he's on DTG's beta team and previous appeared on last years steam for San Bernadino Line.

 

Will there be single unit as well as married pair arrow rail cars so we can finally make 3 car formation like in real life and are there plans to ever make comet coaches both with and without the center doors

 

Will the NYP-Secaucus area be reused like nec NY-Trenton-NEC Newark-New Rochelle or will that area be refreshed.

 

mrshut, MAX1319, have you gentleman tried the CobraOne interface, it has stopped that stuttering for most who use it. Even when TSW 6 comes out I will continue to utilize this interface.

 

So I can confirmed that specifically on Morristown all trains should come with raildriver support officially. I actually tested the ALP45, ALP46, MUltilever cab , and Arrow 3 myself and it works. The arrow is a bit more complicated since it doesn't have reverser position and the power lever for the safety position starts out more like in the middle of the power setting position but it works really well imo.

how much work went into local asset design? looking to find out how much went into things like unique asset designs, the Newark and NYC skylines (especially looking at night lighting), and so on. Boston got a real glow-up with the Worcester line, did NYC get the same treatment?

The american PIS systems, even after improvements in LIRR2, still don't work quite right sometimes. Any attempts made to improve their accuracy?

Also, you know we all want the princeton dinky in NEC now, yeah? Any hope for a one train layer?

 

Have the ALP46 control physics been reworked? The power and electric braking controls from the NEC version never seemed right -- too slow to build forward power (and too weak in low settings), pathetically weak e-braking on the combined power handle, massive electric over-braking when using the air brakes.

I know its a reskinned german BR101 and that thing requires significant throttle input to get it moving but still...it just never seemed right, even if it is.

 

So we are going to do a service at night that will show community the nightlighting on Morristown

 

If you have ever ridden NJT, then you know it accelerates like a tired turtle.

 

That’s real life the Multilevel are heavy trains

 

I work for NJT. I’ve gotten the chance to ride the inside of the ALP46 one time. The braking physics in that engine is very smooth but very hard. The engineer services it and lap at the same time to slow the train down like crazy. More braking force the lower the train will stop but the rough movement after braking holy like I felt I was about to fall off. In game it somewhat like that but very weak tbh.

 

I asked this before but didn't get an answer on the last preview so will ask again, as it actually pertains more to US routes: Have you made any changes to the Playstation/XBOX controller layout for TSW6, namely mapping the bell and fast external camera? If not, why is this so difficult to implement?

For US passenger routes like Morristown, bell's usage is essential and if you're on console, you're stuck trying to find the hitbox in the cab. For the current game I was able to connect a keyboard at least, but after reading TSW6 FAQ I'm not even sure that will be possible...

"Will consoles support a keyboard and mouse?
No, the console experience has been optimised for a controller. We have no plans to add support for keyboard and mouse currently."

Also, few people noticed that the platforms at the Hoboken terminal are too high (should be low level). Was that perhaps fixed?

 

I wonder if break timing in this game is true to life - if you in a cab car, a 1 sec of service will drop you like 10 pounds or more, which is usually enough to stop from below 40mph on a 12 car platform. But in real life you can actually hear the hissing on the multilevels, and it seems there are multiple break applications before the stop (meaning in real life, 1 sec in service would not drop you 10lb). Just my observations.

 

Although I play on PC, but with an Xbox controller, I would also like to be able to turn on the bell from the gamepad. Especially since in the US, not all the D-pad buttons are used in the second set of functions.

 

I saw how the engineer was braking service to lap in 1 sec then for 3 sec on service to lap at Madison Station. The hissing in the engine was really something else like it’s jolted quickly for the other cars to push back until it came to a complete stop

 

Just some information from one of our beta members about the rules with pressing the horns at NJT
Norac Rule 19 in its entirety applies
Kah Road on the M&E is a quiet zone crossing, no horn. Bell only, if equipped
In addition, one long blast is sounded when approaching stations during daylight hours, or night hours if someone is seen

Kah Rd. as a quiet zone should have the normal whistle board with a diagonal line through it.

 

Kahn Road is a quiet zone but there aren't any whistle boards at all on the route that I could locate.

 

the Arrow 3 that comes with Morristown is the

• Married pair

• A car has no pantograph

• B car has a pantograph

For some reason the streamers always avoid night driving, so it'll be interesting to see it this time.

So, Brandon, is it the DTG route that has no whistle boards or also the actual line to Dover. I have seen DTG leave out the boards on some US routes which do have them, these were earlier routes I will admit. No boards would, to me, imply the entire route is a quiet zone. I am sure that the rules require them if needed. It is really hard to find any cab ride videos for US routes

 

So here's the thing. You have to know which area is a quiet zone and which isn't. There are no whistle boards anywhere on this route in real life, so this is either a matter of memorization or having the employee timetable within arms reach.

You have to understand if I didn't answer some of questions is because I'm not privy to share some information until the stream. With that said I can tell you the team have worked very hard on the route.

 

You can likely expect that these questions will be answered during the stream on Wednesday.

 

Why is Arrow III only with a modern single-arm pantograph? Why is the old version with a full pantograph not included? (as it was in the old TS)

 

Ok i just hope that this will be the first time that the team will blow this route out of the park. The anticipation of knowing more of this route really is getting me so HYPE and so is the suspense of wanting more lol

 

ALP-45DP is just a substitution for ALP-46 services? She doesn't have unique services?

How are line maintenance services provided? Does NJT have its own fleet of wagons for maintenance, and do they have special locomotives for this or those services provided on standard mainline locos? Is there a chance that maintenance services will be on the route, as it was with CalTrain?

Xbox supports keyboards. I have mine plugged in and use it to turn off safety systems, Shift + Enter, CTRL+Enter' to turn off the bell, B, and for fast camera hold shift. And for German trains that acknowledge both PZB and Sifa when you hit A, I use Q in the keyboard.

So its a combination of Keyboard and controller.

If you have an Xbox just plug a keyboard in and your golden. Not sure about PS.

Mouse does not work.

 

yup that's exactly what I did. just got a 15-dollar keyboard for the Xbox X as you say is the best thing i did

 

Yes I know. I'm on the Playstation, and that's what I've done too, although kind of hard moving the camera with a controller in one hand while holding shift with the other . My point is that that there is no reason why the bell and and the fast camera shouldn't be mapped to the controller.

 

Will the ALP-45 and the Arrow substitute for APL-46 on the NY-Trenton route?
Will there be playable services from Hoboken to Secaucus lower level platforms?
Is the very bright lighting inside the multilevel coaches/cab car at the NY Penn and the tunnels fixed?
