Tram Driver World Championship!

Found this on the BBC. Tram drivers around the world travelled to Vienna to take part in sports like bowling and curling, using trams.

Saw this recently on Tim Traveler's channel.

I didn't knew it existed for 26 years of my life and now that I do, it's my favorite thing

 

Looks like It's A Knockout/Jeux Sans Frontieres for... trams!

 

There’s also a similar championship for buses !

Haven’t heard much now, I think they discontinued the European bus championship, I only found this video from the 2018 edition.


There’s a similar event in France since 1988, called Bus d’or, it’s like the Ballon d’or but for buses. Similar type of championship it’s a national event where different bus drivers of different bus companies from all around the country are competing to be the best.

 

Of all the things I could come across, a tram driver championship is not what I'd have imagined.
