I have a request if we could please have at least one of the timetable runs on the preview stream with all safety systems activated and utilizing the "normal" HUD that has the speedo on the bottom right and has the fields on either side that display brake information and also the status of safety systems. I find this helps me when watching the stream to observe the wayside signals and also how the train is responding to them. Sometimes this information is not easy to see when we are using the minimal HUD with Track Monitor. Much thanks if this can be done.

45 can be randomised with 46 in no doubt. But what's most important - the Arrow. Will she appear on NYT?
Dinky has a right to exist, even if it's a static AI.

Couple of important ones here from me which I think need to be cleared up for
    release.

How many tunnels and bridges do you actually pass between Hoboken and Dover?
Which station has the longest platform, and which has the shortest?
What’s the highest elevation point on the route?
How long would it take to bike the route compared to taking the train?
Which station on the line has the quirkiest architecture or history?
If you fall asleep at Hoboken, where would you probably wake up by mistake?
Which station feels like it could be run entirely by raccoons?
If Frank Sinatra (born in Hoboken) took the train to Dover, which station would he sing “My Way” at before bailing?
Which abandoned freight spur looks most like the entrance to an underground speakeasy?

I hope the team come prepared....

DTG Harry, please forgive me for another offtopic.
People, can you just say on the stream if there is a bug fixing planned for NYT? After all, these routes are related. Just say "we are planning" or "no plans".

I hope Hoboken isn’t too empty with the lack of the Gp-40/s and F40s

My money is on the latter

I have one question for the stream. Sorry, it's not realy related to the route, it's a general question: have the custom weather options been changed in TSW6? Can we now control temperature? If not, have DTG learned the game that not all winterdays have temps below freezing by definition?

In the newest Dovetail Artikel was mentioned, that the real route has Norfolk-Southern and CSX services. Why we don't have that services in the game version of that route? Especially while we have Norfolk-Southern and CSX stuff in the game already?

The real routes See no freight traffic. The only freight traffic on this route is the CXS yard next to the maintenance facility both those lines don’t interact

Dual ended NJT GP38-2 at Dover Station, maybe a good ad on for future dlc, and maybe extend yards along Morristown route.

If there is some Amtrak trains that stops at Secaucus, then it can be. Otherwise there is no stops for Amtrak on the map.

I just watched the stream and what can I say... I'm not American and I don't have much with US routes, but I'm honestly blown away by how the route feels and especially how much there is to see. Hoboken looks absolutely mind-blowing, really awesome. As far as I know, the security is top-notch. Also, great work by Brandon on the signage along the line. The power switch from 12 to 25kV is also really well executed. Everything seems to fit perfectly into the route — well done!!
This will be for sure one of my favorite routes. Oh and the Arrow III is also a bless to hear :)

Pack me a copy of this route. I'll buy it.
Now it's up to Riviera whether I'll buy the whole game or just the US content.

I totally agree, I think the stream and the route looked far above my hopes and would have been pretty happy just to have the route, but the way it looked, played etc really was excellent and I can wait for next week!

That's the thing, I didn't expect it to be this level either. It's hard to believe the US route became the star of the game.
DTG, once doesn't count, so keep going.

Once I saw the Arrow 3 preview doing a voltage from 25k to 12k at Secaucus at the end. It has a potential to be a layer for NY Trenton. I thought it would only be specifically for Morristown Line

Very hard to watch if I’m honest, one thing which did jump out to me was the TSR. My understanding is that the player would be briefed about any TSRs at the start of the service yet Matt and co where all surprised when they came across one in the Arrow.

Yes we are getting some conflicted results here. I mean, I’m getting the Deluxe pack anyway but still nice to get a taster for how good things are going to be.

Just the constant “do this, do that, show this, switch to this cam” etc I had to switch off as it just jumped around constantly so impossible to actually focus on the specifics of the route.maybe that was by design

This is why it would be better if the streams were preplanned and scripted with a proper structure. Quite often you just want to take an undistracted look and listen at what the route has to offer.

I get that there’s a lot to show off, but it didn’t flow at all and made it hard to follow, maybe I’m just an old fart. I had to switch off when mid conversation Matt was interrupted so we could see passengers getting on and off the train at a low level platform. Because that’s never happened in TSW before on other routes.
In my opinion it needed to be far more scripted and staggered better as it was information overload at times. Route did look good though

Now those are the questions I was looking the answers for... And they didn't address that... So lazy effort from the team I guess :D

On a serious note though, I laughed way hard than I should've at, 'If you fall asleep at Hoboken...' and now my coworkers are looking at me in a weird way :|

funny thing I do have the answers we just ran out time.............but here you go
so, I had the answers for your tough questions........ didn't players would had wanted a 5-hour stream :)

How many tunnels and bridges do you actually pass between Hoboken and Dover?
Answer: One tunnel from Hoboken to Dover (Bergen Tunnels, but has 2 open air shafts, correctly depicted in game
Which station has the longest platform, and which has the shortest?
Answer: Longest, hmm probably Secaucus, but most are 10 cars on Morristown itself. Shortest passenger stop is Mt. Tabor
What’s the highest elevation point on the route?
Answer: Dover. btw ,google is wrong if you look it up
How long would it take to bike the route compared to taking the train?
Answer: assuming you are referring to Hoboken to Dover around 4 hours and 10 minutes depending how you ride
Which station on the line has the quirkiest architecture or history?
Answer: 5: This is actually a neat question. Many of the stations date from the late 1800s and still have their old station houses. Short Hills, Milburn, Morristown. Hoboken Terminal is really special. Clad in copper, has many of its original Delaware Lackawanna and Western furnishings. Used to be a long-distance terminal for multiple railroads (later on the Erie for example). Passengers arriving in Hoboken can either transfer to the Light Rail, PATH Trains, or Ferries to Manhattan to reach their final destinations. A true transport hub.
If you fall asleep at Hoboken, where would you probably wake up by mistake?
Answer: Probably would wake up in the waiting room which is beautifully depicted in game, even though you can only peer in through the doors
Which station feels like it could be run entirely by raccoons?
Answer: Penn Station, you have to be a crazed as a raccoon to direct all types of trains in an out of both sides of the station
If Frank Sinatra (born in Hoboken) took the train to Dover, which station would he sing “My Way” at before bailing?
Answer: Summit! You think you’ve seen it all but there’s still half the distance to dover to go!
which abandoned freight spur looks most like the entrance to an underground speakeasy? Answer: the only freight spur I can think of is the one just south of Morristown, still active

Will you fix the BI-level coach & Arrow iii EMU "brake indicator"?
    Also the door indication lights.
In the Stream Live Show they still not working :(
With those that would be perfect and more realistic :) 相片 2025-9-18 19 17 18.jpg

When I saw the livestream towards the end with the Arrow 3 spawning at Secaucus. Can you able to switch voltage when using free roam spawning the Arrow 3 on NY Trenton switching to the 25k to 12k on the controls panels??

That’s awesome to be honest. I was hoping it would use free roam to use it on the NY Trenton route with it. Thank you very much. Hopefully big plans later will use these in the NY Trenton timetable

Based on my experiences working in NJ 25 years ago, I suggest to people visiting NYC for the first time to consider staying in NJ (Summit had a very good hotel at the time) and taking the train to visit Manhattan (won't work if you're planning on a lot of late night partying, though!). Tickets are very reasonable, and hotels in NJ are a lot cheaper than on Manhattan, while the trains take you either to Penn, which is about as central Manhattan as you can get, or Hoboken where a ferry across to the World Trade Center is a really magical way to get your first close-up views of the skyline.

Was it just me or were the external PIS displays on the arrows not working? (Or, do they just not work IRL anymore? I'm pretty sure they were/are these super-specific 88-segment lcd displays from Germany.)

That said, the preview was excellent and if this is the level of results that we're also going to get with the New Haven Line in the future, then I'm a happy camper.

The gentleman who was the beta tester make a quick comment to a question concerning the Rail DRiver and noted that it works, since he tested it. I am thinking here that the throttle on the Arrow III will have the Rail Driver do forward in the throttle position and reverse in the dynamic brake positions. Am looking forward to seeing if we need CobraOne's interface for TSW 6.

Exactly what I said further up the thread. Tuned in, tried hard to stay watching though the constant interjections were annoying. Matt P has since replied to my same comment in Discord earlier saying he asked them bring things up in the stream….I suggested that perhaps they should have been the ones driving then!
No real structure to the stream as mentioned by others. Perhaps a reason why the stream went over 4 hours?!
Here’s hoping the UK route showcase will be better!

First the good. Watched the stream and I have to say the route looks really good, I want to thank you all for a job well done. Loved all the trackside signage, distant scenery, locos. Hoboken looks realistic - shout out to whoever took notice of this forum and lowered the platforms there. Also, was really pleasantly surprised that we'll have passenger announcement on the NY Trenton if using Morristown ALP-46 - that's just awesome!

Now the not so good. I'm a bit disappointed that the section between the West End interlocking and Secaucus is not drivable (or maybe even accessible) even though Matt showed that there is train traffic on the Secaucus lower platforms.

As for the stream itself, I really wished they spend more time on the Q&A at the end, because they breezed through some questions while a lot of them still got no answer. There were so many opportunities during no convo moments in a 4 hour stream to ask every question from this forum.
And also, if the admin is not prepared, Eddie should have just read all the changes for ALP46 and the multicoaches. Still waiting for them to be posted here...

I posted about this somewhere but on the arrow the throttle position is about 1/2 down where is the position of safe mode so is a little more tricky but once you get use to is fine. The brakes works the same as would any other. Hopes that helps

    Hey folks!

Here are the answers for the Q+A (all that we've managed to answer so far). Many of these have been answered or were covered during the actual livestream last night. It was a big one, though!

Is the audio from the Arrows accurate?
The audio was sourced from a local beta team members who sourced it from the Arrow itself.

Can you show screen mode working on the console version, or clarify that it now works as it should?
It works as it should on consoles.

This thread is now locked as per our usual process. However, if you have any further questions or wish to discuss Morristown, you can take a look at our route article, which also might answer those questions before you even need to ask them!

Our FAQs also provide a great deal of potential answers, so be sure to search through them (I recommend the good old Ctrl + F search function if you're looking for something specific) to see if that can provide further answers on Morristown, the other core routes or TSW6 in general!
